Has anyone picked up the Splitfish FragFX for FPS games? I'm interested in getting one, but it got a lot of bad reviews on Amazon.com.

It is a nice controller and works as advertised. Not going to go so far as to say that it is perfect. The sensitivity requires a great deal of tweaking for each game or you will find yourself whirling around too fast to aim or far too slow to avoid getting killed. But once you find a happy medium, it works great. I have to say the mousepad/stick holder thingy is useless. It has to hang off the site of whatever table you are using because of the stick holder and you spend more time trying to make sure that it stays on the table than it is worth. I threw my in the closet and pulled out an old mousepad and it worked great.
Not sure what the problem is with the amazon reviews. It is very nice controller once tweaked properl.
I've never tried the controller either. I was also thinking of getting one but I think I'll just stick with controller and keep the mouse and keyboard to the puter.

I'll check it out, but I think real world reviews shed more light then other reviews.

I bought one and returned it after a couple hours. The trigger on the "nunchuck" style controller broke within that time. Had it not, I probably would've returned it anyway.
Works great in RFOM, OK if you dont drive the vehicles in Warhawk, havent tried it in COD4. I dont use it very often. I am not hardcore enough to care that much about my stats I just like a controller a little better. The fragFX did increase my skills right away though.

I want to buy this in time for Resistance 2. But I want to try it first. I'm sure I could sell it online, or to anyone of you guys.
Don't spose anyone can give me a link to the firmware update v2.20? Just got one in the mail today, haven't used it yet, but want to update it first.. And for some reason, splitfish website is ****ing useless.. Any info would be greatly appreciated..
