I posted this on the GameTrailers PS3 Forum and the mods eventually locked my thread after only a few posts, but after seeing me enjoy my PS3 for the past eleven months, my roommate cracked, took the $400 his grandmother gave him for Christmas, and bought an 80gb PS3. Sometimes, peer pressure does do good deeds!
Thats a nice chunk of change for some one to give for Christmas. Lucky kid.
Nice, my uncle and his family came to my house for a month (he lives in germany) and when he came back, he bought a PS3 for his family cause he thought it was amazing.

that's nice... but where is the peer pressure? did you show off your PS3 to your buddy and make him jealous and kept telling him that he should get one?

Peer pressure is sometimes a good thing. I had the thought of buying a PS3 in the back of my mind but my cousin really convinced me in the end. Just seeing and playing it was just amazing. And to back it up, my team (Liverpool) had a win that same night :-)
Taking after the moderators at the Gametrailers forums, this is getting locked too because it is absolutely pointless. There is nothing big or clever about convincing somebody to buy something, directly or indirectly.
