This image is from a slide presentation at GDC. If you look at the slide you will see Xbox Next!!!. This is better than 360 to me.

I wouldn't say that this is saying that the Xbox2 will be named Xbox Next.
Very few people know the actual name of the Xbox2. Thus, almost all slides referring to it use one of the many possible names.
OK, I SENT YOU A PM 5 MINUTES AGO AND YET YOU ACT LIKE A MOD AGAIN, STOP THIS NOW

Stop attacking other members and get back to the topic, guys.
I personally don't mind the name "Xbox 2." Xbox Next is fine as well, but any other name besides that just doesn't suit me and doesn't sound too appealing either.

Yes, yes. My apologies. I'm just whiny. Though, the one part of my post does remain true... this is most likely NOT the name of the X2... they're prolly just using it as reference. Again, my apologies. Didn't me to step on anyone's toes and sorry for being so rude X2.
I would like to apologize about the post above, but i did write in that post that i really dont expect MS to call their next console xbox next i would think they would take this oppertunity (GDC) to explaine XNA in more detail. and then lets hype develope at E3.

Usually they will just throw in a name to make it please the general public, and make it "easy" on there ears.....I'd rather like to see the next box call Xenon, since its a cool name and would go good with the next gen. graphics.

After the big Sony press conference today at Gamer's Day. Phil Harrison had a sit down with the folks from 1up.com. This interview went in depth on the PS3's ability to download PS1 and, in the future, PS2 titles off of the online store.
Harrison said that PS1 games will not be enhanced in any way, unlike how the PS2 enhances them. This is due to the fact that Sony wants to release them in their original state.
It is Sony's hopes to have every PS1 title to download from the store, however a few title's may have to be excluded due to the fact that licenses for talent or music that have expired. At launch, Twisted Metal and Syphon Filter are going to be available to download.
These game downloads will initially be only for the PSP, but once the emulation software is available, the games will be fully functional on a PS1. One thing to note, one download of the game will allow you to play the game on our PSP and your PS3, and, with the announcement of "game sharing," you will be able to log your profile on a friends PS3 and download it there as well.
Please note that PS1 and PS2 games will be fully playable on the system with the discs, but the DOWNLOADS will require the future emulation software.
