I have turned 14 as of today. It has been pretty fun today ,but the thing is that I only go 30 bucks.Well its money ,but not that much.Im really thankful for what I have and definetly for turning 14. I can get a job now. Not a good job but a pretty good job. Its time to celebrate guys. Im 14!!!! Celllll e brate my birthday comon!!!!!:):DD

Get one as fast as possible. The sooner you do the less of a big deal it seems and makes your life a lot easier.

Well, 14 is the legal age in most states and provinces I believe, that you can get a real job at.

Aaargh, none of my birthdays will have any significance until my 18th, right now I'm 16 and couldn't care less about when I turn 17. Its all about the 18th where nearly everything becomes legal (here in the UK).

Dont get your hopes up though, most places wont hire you till your 15 and even more wont hire you until your 16. 14 was like the worse of my life lol, your too old to get the kids deal and too young to have rights to anything. :lol:

I turn 20 in July. When I joined this forum I was 16.. :O
You're probably tall enough now to look over the bar, so go to europe and drink yourself happy :).
You'll find soon enough that high school (are you even in high school?) jobs are very overrated when you're in high school. The only thing working minimum wage did for me was encourage me to work harder to get into college. The average starting salary for internships for people in my major in my school is over $20 an hour, with a bachelors degree in my field earning $64k base starting salary and the demand for them is only going up.
That all being said, I worked my ASS off all summer, 45-hour days @ $10 an hour with overtime for the entire summer. I saved every penny. And with the money I had accumulated, I bought top-of-the-line brand new DJ equipment (All Pioneer, over $5000 worth) and you'll find that it is a very satisfying feeling to buy something with your money that you worked very hard for, even if it's a lot of work for not so much money.
Enjoy youth though, you're still young. Experience work, sure, but go have fun and try new hobbies. I wish I had started track and rockclimbing at your age or earlier.

Early 20's were great....mid 20's are a pain with work....

Hey, happy birthday, but whats with the job so young? Are you sure you can get a job at 14, because where I live, not only is 15 the minimum age to get hired, but you almost never do unless you are 16+.
Besides, I'm way older than you, and I've never had a job, quit making me feel lazy. :lol:
But yea, I'm trying to get a job soon, but I'm sick and have no health insurance, so I'm kinda at a fork in the road here.. I feel I can't get a job until I'm better, but I won't get better until I can get the freakin' health insurance from having a job..
