View Full Version : Wii system update problem
I've set up my Wii wirelessly and it finds my connection easily and shows a strong signal, but when i try to update the blue bar doesn't move. It's moved a couple of time for a few seconds like it's actually downloading but always ends up stopping. Then i get the error code 32002.
Does anyone know what i can do? I just want to update the Wii, I've already searched the net for solutions most of which say go to the wii technical support site but none of their suggestions for the error code work.
This has made me really frustrated with Nintendo since my psp, ps3 and 360 have no trouble working wirelessly at all.
Is it even possible to do a system update via SD card?

I got that once when my router was not connected to the internet. You will show good signal as the Wii sees your router, but if it cant see the internet you will get that message. Try rebooting your modem/router. Also make sure your router is not at its set limit for internet connections.

It was definitely connected to the Internet. Also i have a belkin mimo N1 router than can handle a lot of connections. Everything works with it, my PC wired, my laptop, ps3, 360 and psp all wireless. Even the wii news channel worked, it just refuses to update.
If the Wii news channel worked, I would call Nintendo. The only time I got that message was when I had a network problem. You may even try restoring your Wii. There is an option for it in the settings menu. Have you tried it wired?

How do i connect the Wii wired? I thought it was wireless only.

I finally got the Wii to update, turns out it works perfectly as long as my router has just be started and there are no other things connected to it at all, wireless or wired. As soon as something else connects the Wii doesn't want to work properly anymore. Weird, either way I'm not going to be using the Wii online much I'm just glad it will update. Thanks for the help.
I also think a prettyy recent update is on the Mario Galaxy disc? I had to update something from that disc.
