View Full Version : Giants vs. Patriots game FIXED
Anybody else here think that the game last night was fixed? You can't help but see the blatant favoritism in the refs calls for the Patriots the whole game.
Just a few I can recall, after the Giants player ran out of bounds on a kickoff I believe and got a late hit from a Patriot, the Patriot player falls to the ground and Toomer for the Giants gets a personal foul apparently because he BLEW the player to the ground. Watch the replay, there was never any contact.
The 2nd to last TD that the Patriots scored, they were called for lining up wrong after the 1st down pass attempt was incomplete. You may think that that would've actually helped the Giants but all it really did was give the Patriots more room to throw and another chance at 1st down. Oh and how convenient, the penalty couldn't be declined by the Giants because it was a dead ball call.
The one thats really got my ire is during the 1st big scuffle early in the game the Patriots were basically allowed to push and punch and kick nuts and never got a flag for anything. One guy was even allowed to poke some Giant player's eye out and it was there for the whole world to see and nothing was done. If this player isn't suspended or at least fined during the week, then I don't know how much more obvious it is that the league is doing all it can to help the Patriots just for the TV rating, the press coverage, and of course the $$$$$ (advertising).
There was more than just this and if you don't agree with me then I would have to say that you either didn't watch the game or just really didn't pay any attention. That game was the worst example of officiating I think I have ever seen in an NFL game. Even worse than the....oh yeh the Patriots and Ravens game.

It takes a lot of luck to go 16-0...
the Pats got lucky. (not saying they aren't an amazing team)
The Patriots got some huge calls that basically saved the game for them against the Ravens.
I'm not disputing that they are a good team. They have to be a good team to be able to go 16-0 even if it is luck or good calls but man the refs treat them like the NBA refs treated Michael Jordan in his last few years.
i think they'll lose before the playoffs, if not then at Super Bowl. But i might be wrong, but then again they are CHEATERS! :lol:.......(good player line up.)

The Patriots started their dynasty after the events of 9/11. Is that a coincidence? Patriots = Patriotism ?!? J/k just thought I would throw out a wacky Internet conspiracy.
The Patriots have been a consistently great team for some time now. I am a Panthers fan myself and feel we gave them a great run for the money in Super Bowl XXXVIII but still lost it. As my Panthers are sucking something fierce this season I will go to my secondary and hope that Green Bay can take it all the way this year.
What a load of crap. I'm not going to go through all of the calls but that one where Toomer gets the foul was totally legit. It wasn't a late hit at all, the NYG player was still in bounds when he got hit and it's obvious that Toomer said something to warrant the foul.

just accept the fact that your team lost and move on hope next season is better as far as cheaters go ur as blind as the xbox and ps3 debate. just my opinion go PATRIOTS

I didn't know the refs started throwing personal foul flags because players were trash talking :confused::confused::confused: If they did that back in the 80's then there wouldn't have been any players left on the field because they all would have been ejected :suspect: How about the player getting poked in the eye, was that one ok in your book?

The Giants aren't my team. I never called the Patriots cheaters in my comment. I don't believe they are cheaters. Everyone looks at the other teams coaches to try and pick up on how plays are called. I could really care less about all that. But you can't deny that the refs are harder on the teams they play...

The game wasn't fixed but Toomer getting a personal foul was messed up.

Maybe he said something offensive? And the poke in the eye thing was bad, but the refs just didn't see it; fair do. Does that mean the game was fixed? :suspect:

no not you calling them cheaters i should've quoted the guy like 4 posts down from the top sorry and as far as bad calls it happens the patriots had some bad calls last year i forget what team they was playing but all we can do is say bulls**t and hope next game is better. it was x_terna i meant

Nothing new to me. A winning team gets all the "you cheated" crap... Just get over it, every team in every sport gets "breaks" and you wont reconize them until they are winning it all or doing something great like this.
Stop the bloating, give them respect, and look forward to them winning the superbowl.
