So much of a mug that he had Arsenal licked most times, eh?

Typical Newcastle impatience.

Do they think Shearer will be able to do a decent job without any experience or something?
They're all still in dreamland from the Keegan days when they nearly made it into the big time.

yeah its a shame to see him go.i think he would have done good just got give him a bit more time.look what he did at bolton made them strong side. top half of the table most seasons.i think its down to newcastle players not wearing the bagde on there heart.no they are going have to bring in someone with high standards .i think steven mclaren or jose mourinho would be good managers at newcastle .

Not McClaren, the first thing he would do is buy Downing and more Man U reserves ! and then play them out of position. Jose, yes please but not likely.

Newcastle are not a Big Time Club. Yes they have fantastic support, but the team hasn't achieved anything for a long time. For allardyce to be sacked 8 months in shows that nobody at newcastle knows what they are doing. He has to rebuild a club from scratch like he did at Bolton.

I'm a West Ham fan and even i can see that Newcastle really are in a confusion as to who they are.

it hasn't surprised me in the slightest that redknapp has turned down the job offer, I expect this to become a regular occurance now, no top flight manager worth his salt would want to touch newcastle now unless they could avoid it.

the board of directors have only got themselves and their lack of patience to blame

I'm a Newcastle fan (live there too!), thats 3 we have so far!

Personally, Big Sam wasn't the man for the job, the current chairman didn't appoint him and if put in his position I would do the same. Ashley puts alot of money into the club and I think he is doing some "rebuilding" of the club himself, which includes the manager and he deserves the right to appoint his own manager imo. Whether or not Shearer is up to it, he would be given the time, he has the support, I dunno whether he should risk his reputation though, I mean I kinda like Shearer's Bar.....!
