i am currently looking to upgrade my 512 megs of ram up too 2 gigs.
But im having trouble finding two 1 gig sticks for 140 dollers or less(rebates are ok because i turn them back in).
my CPU takes DDR ram PC2100/PC2700/PC3200 (non-register and ECC)
please i need the cheapest ram that you can find that is compatible.

I love Corsair Value Select ram..... PC3200 DDR400 1gig will run ya around 80.00
Yup, corsair valueselect is cheap and good (I have 2*512 of them) and if you don't overclock your pc, it gives you the same performance as overclockram.

Yeah, check newegg.com or tigerdirect.com I think they both carry that RAM.
why do u need 2 gigs of ram for??
go with 1 gig a pc dont even use the full 1 gig of ram.
i have 1 gig of ram and my pc runs awsome.
i have this program and it testes the memory and the pc only uses
256 of ram
BF2 needs 2 gig to run it on high, FEAR too, Oblivion probably also... It's just future proof, not needed, but if you can afford it...

i'm actually doing so i can do renders in maya and not have my computer crash. I'm also doing so I can makes meshes more detailed in Zbrush so another plus.
I'll probably after this get a 6800.
Gaming is a LONG way away for me in terms of importance.
