So, what did you win last season? Oh, that's it. Nothing.
How can we be hypocrites? You bang on about 18 & 5 then get all uppity when we mention the Intercontinental Cup. Pot kettle black fella

Irrelevant crap coming out of a mancs mouth.... what a suprise... you stated that I bang on about 18 and 5 yet find no proof in my previous posts so then you try to defend yourself about your non existent posts. Do you stereotype alot of people?.... all the Pool fans I know do not state the ''next year is our year'' you sir have been sucked in by the media and generalisations.
On another note I'm going to leave this thread I try to get on with people and all I get is ''Liverpool are ****'' ''we are better than you'' ''all you pool fans go on about is your history''.

Ramsey fee agreed
United have agreed a fee with Cardiff City to bring talented teenager Aaron Ramsey to Old Trafford.
The 17-year-old left-sided midfielder has yet to agree personal terms and must also pass a medical before any deal can be completed.
A club spokesperson told ManUtd.com: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has agreed terms with Cardiff City for the transfer of Aaron Ramsey subject to contract terms being agreed and the player passing a medical."
But the Reds aren't the only club in for the teenager. Cardiff have confirmed that "three top Premier League teams" have made bids, with two given permission to speak to the Wales starlet.
Ramsey, who has attracted plenty of interest from the best clubs in England, is considered one of his country's brightest prospects in recent years and follows in an impressive line of left-sided Welsh players, including Gareth Bale and his idol Ryan Giggs.
He earned rave reviews following his performance in Cardiff's 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Middlesbrough and played in their final defeat to Portsmouth at Wembley.

Good news, Giggs is really getting on in age and Man Utd is in need of another outside middy. Ronaldo, Nani and Giggs aren't a deep enough rotation IMO. Playing so much is what gets many players injured. Young talent will work in well with this squad.

Not to mention Ryan Giggs is his hero. But i'm not ruling out him moving to Arsenal just yet. I really want to see him at United but I wish the lad good luck either way cos he's a real talent and I know he can make it in the Premier League.
RONALDO TO STAR IN REMAKE OF 'ROOTS'
FOOTBALLER Cristiano Ronaldo is being lined up to star in a multi-million dollar remake of the epic TV series Roots.
Ronaldo has demanded £3.5m per episodeProducers say the star's treatment at the hands of Manchester United make him the perfect choice to portray the young African slave who is beaten by his brutal masters.
The Portuguese winger said he had been traumatised by 'outrageous' demands that he honour the £125,000 a week, legally-binding contract, which has brought him only, misery, adulation and Gemma Atkinson.
Speaking from the titanium gazebo in the rose garden of his 31-room mansion, Ronaldo said: "I feel I can relate to the suffering of African slaves.
"If anything, it is worse, because footballers cannot sing while we work, whereas they had time to develop gospel music during their 16-hours shifts before dropping dead from exhaustion."
In the series a young African boy is dragged from his homeland and shipped to America where he is forced to work in the fields by a cruel and violent plantation owner.
"The similarities are uncanny, though admittedly, the Lear Jet that flew me from Lisbon to Manchester wasn't packed with 150 other players sleeping head-to-toe."
Ronaldo also conceded that, while the slave-master in Roots administered brutal beatings, Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson had nurtured his talent, lavished him with praise and turned him into one of the best footballers in the world.
"But without the freedom to do whatever I want, wherever I want, for whatever fee I want, I am exactly the same as a cotton picker forced to live in a shed, dying at the age of 32."
He added: "I know the people will love my acting. Already, in the streets, I hear many of them calling me 'Kunta'."

Not for 20mill. At this point it will either be Berbatov or Huntelaar, we all know Ferguson wan'ts Berbatov but if we are priced out of a move expect somebody like Huntelaar to turn up, which I would be happier with.

Indeed.
Given that they only paid £16.1m for him and he hasn't delivered by his own high standards, then something around the £10-12m would be more realistic. The £20m probably includes the wages wrapped up in a 3-4 year contract, as per the reported £32m for Tevez
I would piss myself laughing if you spent the reported £20m on a 31 year old.
You spend 20.3 on a 28 year old, not that much of a difference. Besides it won't ever happen, it will be Berbatov or Huntelaar by the end of the week.
BUT please GOD don't let it be Michael Owen, i'd rather buy Voronin..

No we spent £19m on a 28 year old who just turned 28 and a decent player at it with at least 4 years left in him.
You can have Voronin.:D

Well technically Henry isn't even 31 yet, he will have at least 4 years left in him. All a moot point though cos he won't be coming here, especially not for that silly money. But Ramos has now come out and said he wants Berbatov to stay so it's unlikely we will get him now.

Our game is Sunday though against the magpies.
What does everyone reckon will be the score? I say 2-0 to us.
Extremely disapointed with Man Utd today.
We Need another striker. Our bench was atroucious, all defenders except one.
What the **** was Ferguson doing, i'm sorry but taking off a perfectly ok Striker for a Right Back??????
We lacked any creativity upfront and he should of brought on Possebon for Carrick not O'**** who is clearly poor in centre mid.
If this doesn't tell Ferguson we need another striker then I don't know what will.

To be honest I would have to agree, that Spider Man dude did look quite good. But not about Campbell, while I think he has potential I still don't think he's ready to be starting for us, If we could get him loaned to another prem team were he could get regular football then I think we should do that.

Ronaldo
Nani
Anderson
Hargreaves
Tevez
Saha
Carrick for a short period of the game and now he's out for 2 weeks.

A half fit Rooney that's just recovered from a virus.
Who knows how long Tevez is going to be away for now because of this family bereavement. Even with all these players out though we still have a better squad than Liverpool, we always have and we always will, but Liverpool fans will always believe that "man for man" they have a much better squad that everybody. We've beaten you both times in the league for the past 2 seasons and Ronaldo hasn't contributed with a goal so I still think we will win.
Chelsea are looking good first game of the season though I must admit.

Thats a bit of a rash generalization we have in the past had a much better squad than United's. How do you know the Glazers might **** off and leave you in £800m odd debt you'll be another leed's. I take it you have a short memory about Ronaldo scoring at Old Toliet last season then. I'm predicting a better result at Anfield this season, lets just wait and see.

:2gun: Van Der Sar is the reason we came out with a draw.
If he CAUGHT the ball instead of PUNCHING it...
There would have been NO corner for us to CONCEDE the goal.
I still believe United will come ON-TOP this season!
Berbatov done deal.
Bernd Shcuster has finally got his man, after Tottenham and Real Madrid agreed terms for Dimitar Berbatov late last night.
The Bulgaria striker was left out of Saturday's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sunderland after it was decided he was in the wrong frame of mind to play amid interest from Manchester United.
However, it is Real Madrid who will be unveiling the Bulgarian striker after apparently snatching his signature from under Sir Alex Fergusson's nose.
"Selling Dimitar to Manchester was never an option for us" Ramos said.
"It is not in our interests to help strengthen our opposition."
The deal taking Berbatov to Real is thought to be in the region of £17 million, substantially below the £25 million offer tabled by Manchester United.
Double Blow
In a double blow to United, Spurs claim to have agreed deals with both Andrei Arshavin and Thierry Henry, the latter being a recent target for Sir Alex.http://www.skysports.com/football/story/11095_4045484-00.html (http://eve-upurs.com/skysports/11095_4045484-00.html)

The BBC player ratings are just ridiculously awful. Anyone who watched the match carefully could see Evra was having a bad game, particularly in the first half he lost the ball nearly every time he got it, and let a couple of portsmouth players past him too easily. He had one good move in the whole match. Rooney and Tevez were brilliant, Fletcher was okay but didn't deserve to get man of the match just because he scored a pretty poor goal. Defoe was far from the best portsmouth player too. I don't think the people who vote watch matches they just go on reputation or one one bit of play they remember. Wes Brown barely put a foot wrong, was excellent defensively, had some great attacking play and was Uniteds 2nd worst player in the ratings? He was definitely one of the best players today.
Does anyone else think there's a coverage bias against United? For example, United were clearly the better side against Newcastle, but in the ratings they were all given substantially worse scores. It doesn't make sense for the worse team to get better scores, regardless of whether United underperformed. Then the match commentaries fail to mention the most important part of today's match imo - Wayne Rooney scored a fantastic goal with great build up player, called offside when he was on (no question about it, commentators agree though they're not too trustworthy). If it had been the other way and Portsmouth scored given offside it would be the headline of every article about the match.

To be honest they MUST have something in the pipeline to let Saha go, just a few weeks back Ferguson said he was part of their future plans, I honestly can't see us not signing somebody now and if we didn't it would be a disaster. Excellent striker on his day when he's fit, unfortunatly he can only manage this about 2 games a season, good luck to the lad.
Bunch of cheats Man United are, Ginger Scholes trying to re-create the hand of god.
Zenit deserved the win they were the better team throughout, Rooney was awful and still can't score to save his life.
Terrible, terrible performance. Zenit deserved it thoroughly, the rest of our team should take a good long look at Tevez because he was the only player on our team tonight who actually looked like he wanted to play. That handball from Scholes was hilarious
How is it hilarious, he is past it now and is simply doing what Zidane and other players have and disgrace himself. United even went to celebrate the goal absolutely disgusting if it was a Liverpool player that done that, I would be disgusted.

No you wouldn't, if Gerrard done it you would be loving it. Scholes past it?, lol no, his passing is still some of the best in the league, I think you should take a look at some of your own cheating players, as well as players who are past it before judging our own.
Oh and Rooney can't score yeah, Robbie Keane hasn't exactly made a killing either..

Why would I love Gerrard to commit handball?... seriously you haven't got a clue about me have you?. I'm allowed to comment on any Man United players I want, Liverpool players are not being discussed are they? Face it Keane has outscored Rooney for club and country for years now and will continue to do so. Before you jump to conclusions like you normally do, I didn't say Keane is a better player than Rooney.
I'm a gunner, and I love what Scholes did. I'd prefer to see Scholes doing an in-match GB 2012 volley-ball tryout than Ronaldo diving.

You get into the realms of legality here and it would be very hard to prove. There is an applied consent when discussing contact sport in court with respect to bodily harm and proving that it was above and beyond the level expected would be difficult. There have been other fouls I am surprised at that haven't gone to court.

Ronaldo is a great player, but don't get confused by all the marketing surrounding him. Cmon, I mean, even being a great player he alone can't do anything. You are forgetting Rooney, Tevez, Giggs (even in the bench), Scholes, and many others including Van der Saar (even when he receives incredible goals). Manchester is a better team when Ronaldo is in, but it's not a second class one without him.

You're delusional. No one claims it was a dive, it was a good challenge. United were denied more than 10 clear penalties (where even the commentator thought it was stupid decision) last year, but I think only received 2 dubious ones. Ronaldo gets far less than his fair share of refereeing decisions, but you only remember the ones where he gets a favourable bad decision.

I'm delusional? some of your football related posts that I have read were beyond comprehension. Ok it wasn't a dive but was still clearly cheating, he knew exactly what he was doing when you left his leg hanging, you can see that in the replay, he is a cheat plain and simple.

Ah, away for three months, and I see that EVILPS3 still haunts this thread with his usual commitment to animosity and skewed interpretations of events.
Some things just don't change, do they? Ronaldo is a diver jibes, how original. (=
I will be the first to concede that United's penalty against Bolton, was not a penalty. It just wasn't. And having seen countless replays of it, I still do not see how Styles could have given it. Suggesting that Ronaldo dived, is pure tosh. He didn't even appeal! Logically speaking, I would have thought that the supposedly cheating/diving/featherweight prat that is 'Ronaldo', would have appealed the millisecond he could, should he have felt that he had the slightest chance of getting a favourable decision. In all honesty, he looked confused.
In the end, it is simply Occum's Razor : Styles made a monumental ****-up, and managed to keep a straight face while doing so. There was no controversy on the part of United's involvement in the affair. No diving by Ronaldo, no harassment and barracking of the official by United players to get a decision (A la Roy Keane vs Andy D'urso) and no other doubt stirred up other than the controversy created by Styles himself.
To suggest otherwise is to try and be superfluous and to paint United in an unfavourably degraded light, and for what end?
And honestly, how could Ronaldo have dived, or left his left leg trailing? From the replays, it is obvious that J'Llyod Samuel came in for the tackle on Ronaldo's right, and clearly caught the ball in FRONT of Ronaldo's feet. The subsequent tumble is from his feet getting caught by the ball, and that's that. How he could have brought his left leg round to engineer contact to get the penalty is a contention that is utterly beyond comprehension, and is obviously not rooted in the laws of physics, or the basic mechanics of Line of Sight.
Do they make Scouse glasses that can detect imaginary movement in despised players from other clubs?
Now, going back to latest round of Premier League matches : 4 - 0 vs West Brom, Rooney with two assists and a peach of a goal, Berba and Ronaldo on the scoresheet, and just fantastic play all round. I swear, that goal by Berbatov is the most ridiculously languid tap in you will ever see. I have read with some degree of amusement over contentions made by some posters that United are a one man team, with Ronnie in that titular role.
But with three of United's major attacking names on the scoresheet in the West Brom game, it is obvious that there is more to United than just Ronaldo, when they go forward. Then again, this is a fact to most United supporters and observers, but something that other supporters just refuse to acknowledge. This is a team that is seriously getting into form and fitness, with Berba slotting in well, Ronnie getting back to full fitness and sharpness, and Rooney in the form of his life. Celtic have been warned.
A little bit more about the WBA game : Rafael Da Silva. There's something a wee bit special about the lad. He was on the right wing alot, and even found himself up at centre forward! Never mind the next Gary Neville, have we stumbled upon the next Dani Alves? And as an aside to the game, the introduction of the Neviller cemented one of my core beliefs about the current United squad : that the best crossers of theball at the club are currently Hargreaves (Tevez vs Roma, what a peach of a cross) and Neville. Any ideas on that, gents?
The other top four sides : Kudos to Chelsea Reserves for their absolute pummeling of a poor Boro side. Belletti, my hat's off to you, son. And is anyone else in agreement with me that Malouda is the biggest waste of 13 million quid that has ever existed? (On this evidence, 3 million seems to be overly generous too).
Liverpool did well against a very determined and well-drilled Wigan side. However, they owe alot to a red card. Agger (who made up for his mistakes by contributing a super assist for Kuyt's first equaliser) and Carra hod a torrid time against that boy Zaki (ooo, get IN you beauty! What a second goal!). The red card forced Wigan to re-organise their formation, thereby disrupting their rhythm, and allowing Liverpool to get back into dominating midfield as Wigan sat back and allowed Pool more space and time. Valencia's dismissal was needless and stupid, and he shouldn't have gone diving in like that, especially since he had already been carded.
Whilst I can appreciate Pool's spirit, they won't want too many humdinger games like this, because you cannot sustain a title challenge by always having to come back. Sooner or later, it will drain you, and you'll end up with draws when wins were the expected result.
Le'Arse : so-so first half, very classy second. Having said that, in spite of my previous high-regard for Denilson (headless-chicken two footed challenges aside), he just cannot play in the same midfield as Fabregas. It's like Gerrard and Lamps in the middle for England. Fabregas needs a Flamini, and only then can Arsenal overcome their defensive deficiencies without having to sweat too much. Diaby or Song could still be the answer, but I have serious concerns regarding their consistency.
RVP missed a sitter, but looks like he's getting better with more match time. Adebayor seems to be more afraid of shooting than he was last year (second Arsenal goal is a case in point). That squad does look a bit thin on the ground, to be honest, and I hope Wenger knows how to juggle his squad. This probably means more playing time for Randall, and possibly Ramsey. I like that Nasri though, seems a good buy for them. Their real problem is cover for the defence, with Toure, Gallas, and Sagna out. But who knows, we might end up with a repeat of 05/06, and that wonderfully makeshift looking back four.
A final word on United :
There are major concerns for me in regards to United in a few areas. The first is a long term replacement for Giggsy and Scholes. I do not see Nani as being a long term solution, as he seems to be a show pony at the moment, and his goal VS WBA was not indicative of his overall (lack of) contribution. Anderson is still so incredibly raw, and still needs a lot of polish to even start thinking of filing Scholesy's boots. And Scholes and Giggsy will be off in a year, two years tops.
Secondly, should United win their game in hand, they will still be 3 points behind Chelsea, who look the part of champions elect, especially with their soul-destroying (for Boro at least) demolition of the North East's second finest (after Sunderland, and ahead of Newcastle, obviously). It will be a massive effort for United to get back at Chelsea, and it is doable, but I fear that it will cost them a cup (possibly the FA Cup, or the World Club Cup) or two (The CL, obviously).
We know that Fergie is obsessed to the point of unhealthiness over over-hauling Pool's record of 18 top flight titles, and a win this year will see them equal the record, with a possible win in next year's season to make it 19, not out. By which point, Fergie will be 70, and nearing his inevitable retirement. United's FA Cup record under Fergie is already phenomenal, and I think Fergie is willing to sacrifice their chances with the FA Cup and WCC, to get closer to Liverpool's 18 & 5. I mean, yes, we all noticed he was upset at losing out to Pompey last term, but he seemed to let it go very quickly, and got on with winning the BPL and the CL.
Thirdly, with that front three of Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov, when will the inevitable rumblings of 'I'm not playing enough, i want to play more' start to show up? Rooney is the one least likely to complain, since he is the most 'team player' oriented of the three. However, rumblings about Tevez are already starting to surface, with his agents agitating for a more permanent move to be made, and whispers of Real Madrid coming through. Is it really frustration at seeing Berba and Rooney hit it off more solidly than Tevez and Berba? Or is it just journalistic mischief? (Refer to comments attributed to Tevez about him being supposedly unhappy with life in England, which the player later contradicted with a personally issued statement).
As it is Gents, let us discuss. (=

Unless Tevez can somehow work out a partnership with Berbatov (because it looks as though Fergie won't drop him for the foreseeable future), then you can expect him to only come on like this, with 20 to 25 minutes to go.
I like him too, and I think his enthusiasm and workrate are marvelous, but you suspect he is less of a team player than Rooney is.
Rooney is in the form of his life. FINALLY starting to show that potential he has only been flirting with off and on for the last 4 years.

The problem Tevez has is that he's exactly like Rooney, but as you can see from Rooney's performances he has the ability to control the game for us and he's generally a much more explosive player than Tevez. Berbatov is playing like the striker we have missed since Ruud left.

Rooney's problem was whenever he found a small bit of form these past 4 years, he'd always pick up an injury that kept him out for weeks/months and then he was unable to pick up were he left off. Hopefully (touch wood) this won't happen now.

I would actually say that Tevez is the more excitable/explosive player, since he seems to be so... restless. Always so full of energy, but he doesn't seem to be as football intelligent as Rooney. Mind you, that's not rubbishing him at all, since all of United's players seem to possess a very high degree of footballing intelligence, all the way up and down the team.
I do think though, that there will come a time when Fergie will need to use Tevez and Rooney in tandem, and that Berbatov will have to take a backseat, when he considers Berba's languid approach as unsuitable. Who knows when that will be though.
ahernandez : Hehe, A Rangers fan, I see. I supported them as my second team way back when I was in Glasgow as a kid. Back in the days of Walter Smith, Ally McCoist, Iain Durrant, Richard Gough and Andy Goram. I haven't been to Ibrox in 15 years!

We've got the permit for Tosic :)
http://img.skysports.com/08/11/218x298/Zoran-Tosic_1516534.jpg
Manchester United have gained a work permit for Serbian international winger Zoran Tosic.
Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting United were lining up a move for the 21-year-old left-winger.
Now it has been confirmed by United that they have indeed won their battle to get a permit for Tosic - who had not played enough games to automatically qualify to play in England.
A United delegation, including Sir Alex Ferguson, attended the work-permit hearing in Sheffield and they successfully argued Tosic should be allowed to play in the Premier League.
The Partizan Belgrade wide-man now looks set to arrive at Old Trafford when - although details of the deal have not been disclosed.
United have issued a statement confirming that they had gained the permit but no deal for the player would be completed until 1st January, when the transfer window re-opens.
Tosic, who has 12 caps to his name, will become the second Serbian at United, joining fellow countryman Nemanja Vidic.
It is also believed that the Tosic deal could also include Adem Ljajic. The 19-year-old Partizan starlet has been on trial at the club recently and is understood to have impressed Ferguson and his staff.

Cristiano Ronaldo has won football's prestigious Ballon d'Or Award
Ballon d'Or Official interview
The award came as no surprise to many after he was a crucial part of the Manchester United team which won both the Premier League and European Champions League titles earlier this year.
The award, among many others, serves to highlight his very impressive career at the age of just 23.
He was signed to Manchester United in 2003, and has also been a part of the Portugal team since 2003.
Ronaldo then asserted himself on the international stage with good performances during the 2004 European Championships.
He was named in the tournament team, despite scoring only two goals.

0-0 against the Spurs. In all fairness, it's a fair outcome from what was played. We could have won or could have lost. Thankfully we didn't drop any points in the race but we didn't gain any either. Park was definitely my man of the match... he was everywhere. I think Evra was sorely missed. O'Shea played great on defense, but he does lack Evra's offensive style, does he not? I wouldn't have gone with Scholes and Giggs as subs, though. Or maybe taken out Carrick instead of Fletcher. Oh well, what's done is done.

That match was brilliant!
Chelsea were unbelievable, i've never seen so many 'no-shows' from so many 'top class' players. Ballack once again showing his (in)ability to play football. It's funny, i remember people saying that Ronaldo has never performed on a big-stage but i have never seen Ballack do anything good since joining chelsea yet he seems to get away with it and the euro 2008 final was a joy to watch.
Brilliant display from the boys. Ronaldo in top form, shame he didn't net one... he really deserved it with the performance he put in. Hard to pick a Man of the Match, as they were all top-notch. Evra was great, really showed how much we missed him while he was absent. Rooney and Park were just awesome, and Giggsy and Fletch were the bosses of midfield. Now we need to win the two games against Wigan and Fulham, and we're back on top!

Ya, PSU is seriously lacking United fans, especially intelligent ones. How in the feck can you not support the city you're living in? If you don't like your city, leave.
I live in Le Mans, France... and Le Mans is my team in France, as well as Nantes which is very close. Marseille, PSG, Lyon... don't like 'em in the least. Nantes used to be a good team, now they're not even decent but I don't care... I still love them. And Le Mans will probably NEVER win anything but that doesn't matter. I just love going to watch them and cheering them on.
In France, there are so many Marseille supporters it's sickening. Even people living in Paris, Lyon, etc. are for Marseille all because they beat Milan back in '93. That was friggin' 16 years ago, people....get the feck over it, lol.

Second leg v Derby tonight.
Teams from BBC Sport:
MANCHESTER UNITED v DERBY COUNTY LINE-UPS
Man Utd: Foster, Rafael Da Silva, Neville, Evans, O'Shea, Nani, Gibson, Anderson, Giggs, Welbeck, Tevez.
Subs: Kuszczak, Ronaldo, Tosic, Scholes, Fletcher, Possebon, Chester.
Derby: Carroll, Connolly, Albrechtsen, Todd, Stewart, Teale, Addison, Green, Davies, Commons, Hulse.
Subs: Bywater, Savage, Villa, Barnes, Nyatanga, Barazite, Hines.
Referee: Mike Dean (Wirral)
Utd look a different team without Evra, really miss his attacking runs. O'Shea is too slow and looks awkward at left back. Rafael has been a revelation this season, surely Fabio should be given a run in cup games. Last time i seen Neville at center back, he was appaling, but Evans is doing well this season and proving his worth.
I have a bad feeling but we will see . . .
Good game but Evans, Anderson, & Rafael injured...crap.

Yeah, but to be fair there was a penalty for United right after Derby's penalty (and before the official United penalty). But yeah, it was a good match and I think if Commons' shot at the beginning of the match had gone in, it would have been very difficult for us.
Rio, Evans, Anderson, Rafael, Evra, Rooney all injured. Come on! And Nani, Giggs, and Neville all picked up minor knocks... meaning they could miss the next match. It's really unlucky.

Rio should be back soon but I haven't heard anything about Brown coming back. Our defence is looking dire at the moment. Assuming Neville's knock doesn't take him out of Sat's game against the Spurs, and Rio comes back in time.. we should be fine. That's a big "if" though. Only silver lining is that the CL trip to Internazionale is still a while down the road so they'll all have time to recover.

Yeah, Player of the Season, no doubt about it... but please don't say he can take them all on because that's really jinxing us. Plus, 1 defender vs. entire team... no matter how good the defender, it really isn't a match.
And yeah, I was hoping to see Tosic as well. I think Fergie planned on bringing him in but Rafael's injury cut that plan short, lol.
i see AIG are not renewing there sponsorship with yers when it runs out in 2010
Yeah, they're hit by the economy crisis. Now I'm curious to know who our next sponsor will be...
No worry at all really, no doubt we got sponsors lined up. I'm just hoping it's a better logo.
Apparently The Sun is speculating on the new sponsor being Saudi Telecom for 25m pounds a year compared to 15m we currently have with AIG...
And now it looks like Tevez is finally set to stay at OT. A 3-year deal worth 11.7m has is being speculated... hope it's true.

Manchester United will play in a historic strip next season - in honour of a player who helped them win their first major trophy.
Stars including Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the shirts, which feature a large white V-shape sash down the front.
The kit is based upon a 100-year-old design supplied by one of the club's own players, Billy Meredith, before the 1909 FA Cup Final.
Meredith, nicknamed the "Welsh Wizard", is regarded as football's first superstar and guided United to victory in the Cup and the league title the next year.
A century on, United's kit makers Nike have been asked to rework Meredith's shirt - using high-tech materials rather than heavyweight cotton and with a white sash on a red shirt instead of 1909's red-on-white.
Meredith, a former Welsh coalminer, earned £4 a week at United - then three times a miner's wage but just £298 a week in today's money. As a sideline he ran a sports shop and became the club's kit supplier. For the Wembley final with Bristol City, both sides had to change from their usual red shirts.
Meredith quickly arranged for a set of white lace-up shirts with a red V to be made, and United went on to win 1-0.
Meredith, who also played for Man City, retired from football in 1924 to open a pub and died in 1958.
A Man Utd insider said: "The club felt bringing back this old kit was the perfect way for United to mark 100 years of success."http://www.prideofmanchester.com/sport/photos/mufc-kit1909facup.gifthe original 1909 kit

I doubt it'll look like that... but I do like the V-line.
Oh my, Inter will be a hard match. Evans is highly doubtful, as is O'Shea. Brown & Neville are definitely out. If both Evans & O'Shea are out... our CB will be ****. Some talks have Fergie saying he'll put the Da Silva brothers as FBs and put Evra CB with Rio but that'll fail IMO.
I honestly don't see a solution to this problem. Maybe playing 3 at back with 2 DMs? It'd surprise Inter, but it's a formation we have no experience with...
In Fergie We Trust, so let's see what he decides...

Another win for the shirts.
How was Taylor's a yellow? Either it was seen and should have been red or not seen and he got away with it! A yellow "just in case" would be a complete bottle job.
Vidic yellow because Rio was back covering.
Nice attempted rape on Park late on - straight through the back of him.
Rooney played well last night, Carrick wasn't bad. Fletcher was shocking, O'Shea wasn't great either.

Man City fan in peace!
I can only imagine the hair dryer treatment Bacon Face gave that squad of players, in particular Rooney and Ronaldo.
Rooney - total lack of discipline, ive never seen anyone react that way to a perfectly good free kick and then catch the ball! He was going to be sent off for handball before he threw the ball at the ref, thats just adding more fuel to a fire!
Ronaldo - no doubt he is a great player, but my god he can have some tantrums. Your professional for god's sake, get up and get on with it.
I don't blame Scholes for doing what he did, i think it was partly instinct.
Only bright side to the weekend is Chelsea losing... but still a very crap weekend for us.

I think the individual brilliance you have throughout the squad will be enough to get you the tittle and see you through the CL away leg.
Getting Rio back will be a huge boost. Just goes to show how good Rio makes Vidic look.
I can see SAF spending mega bucks on a real CM over the summer. Scholes and Giggs are both past it and Fletcher is too light weight, Carrick can't do it all and Hargreaves is just too injury prone.
Who he will go for though is anyones guess. Xavi? Ribery? Pirlo maybe?

" Football is all about GOALS " that's it, no matter the performance or the show or anything else, just GOALS.
Anyhow, what do you guys think of the away match against Porto ?
Will Manchester United re-write history ? , or it will be the end of it ?

You can have him, if Rafa wants to sell him once we have signed him ;)

I wonder if Ronaldo will go to Real Madrid but if so, Definitely the logical replacement would be Ribery
I do kinda hope he does go to Real, he is one of the main causes of our poor performances recently, he does come up with a great bit of skill once in a while, but gives the ball away too frequently and doesn't track back. Also, Berba is L.P.O.S (Lanky piece of), slow, unimaginative, boring, etc etc.
But Ribery has said he wants to go to Barca, so if he did come to OT, he'd be a great catch.
