Is there any chance of a True Crime game coming out on the ps3? I hope cause it's on my wish list right behind GTA- next gen! Does anyone have some useful info?

I love True Crime NYC, its much better than the first one. Two things hurt the game, glitches and the complexity of GTA SA, SA had everything and people expect that from other games of the same nature. But I still love this game, it has much better cars than GTA. The cars look like real cars I might see on the street while GTA kinda don't.
Somethings it did better than GTA:
1. Cars
2. Dealerships
3. Fighting, Dojos
4. Gunplay - better aiming, bullet time and precision aiming.
5. Graphics look better
6. Interiors - so many accessable interioirs in this game and you can be break frunitures, tv, etc.
7. Abilility to pick the songs you listen to on the radio, too mad not as much as GTA.
8. Transportation, Taxis and Subway for quick access to where ever you want to be cause even though TC is not as diverse in environments as GTA is, it is also huge and it takes forever to get to the othr side of the map.
9. Ability to stop cars by telling drivers to stop, I guess you would have to be a cop for, but it nice when you see a whip you want faraway and you just tell driver to get out and you can walk up to it and drive off.
10. Abilities - able to duck, lean around walls, scare, etc.
There are also many things GTA does way better, but they are kind of obvious.

Truth be told, having True Crime and GTA release next-gen efforts...
... may leave us a little spoiled for choice.
Personally, it would confuse me.
I wouldn't be sure where to invest my money.
Let's just hope one is released before the other.
Then i'll buy the second released one. :)
More production time: means better product.
And when your competition released their product before you (*cough*360),
you get a great chance to defeat them by knowing their strong and low points.

Even though ur right about the cars looking more real.. 75% of the time in True Crime the car was always a damn crown victoria.. :roll: Thats one of the thigns that pissed me off..
Other things was a lot of glitches and just a crappy storyline..
What i did like was some features like getting to arrest people and go into bomb threats.. GTA should add that to the R3 missions. Also getting to open trunks and check for shit.. and getting to search people to.

The ability to put things in trunks would be good, like weapons you don't want to carry around.
I think there's a chance I would buy it, but I think GTA might just upstage it dramatically...
i played the first one for 5 minutes and it felt unplayable

I also like the abilty to access your cars (and therefore all your guns) from any of several police booths. I also liked the drving abilites like being able to drive on two wheels or turbo boost with out equiping nitro, also the advanced ability over GTA in interaction with NPCs.
As for the cars being the same, you could buy almost any car in the game, and depending on where in NY you were, you can find many nice looking cars. It is true though that the majority of the parked cars on the streets are Crown Victorias.

I'm disappointed in you Silas :lol: Okay i giess some of the things in it did kinda suck, but i reckon overall it wasn't a bad game, and yeah i'd like to see it on PS3, it would have about the same impact as GTA if (and don't kill me, it's just my opinion) if the game was minus the glitches, and maybe plus an hour on the storyline, and make the storyline better and more exiting

I really liked the fighting in True Crime New York better because it had a better feel then GTA's fighting. In GTA you punch the people 3 times and they are dead, in True Crime it is more realistic.

Both True Crime games were always totaly over hyped before release, always made out to be supper triple A titles, but when they did come out they were rated as very average games, poor reviews and the rest.
I hope the developers have learnt from the last two outings, and just because the next one might on PS3, but that doesnt mean it will be good.
Will just have to wait and see i guess.
They will probably get it in as a launch game because then they will have no compitition.
I dont no if there is gunna be a true crimes for ps3 or not, but i hope so. I think its a good game and deffinitly good enough for one to come out for ps3
It doesn't matter if its good enough though. There will be some absolute crap games for it aswell.
True crime was okay but nothing spetacular. I'll buy it for ps3 if they are doing the
same thing as gta ps3 where you can go in every single building in the city. that's
realistic :D

I tried the original, that thing was so stupid. You drive around trying to arrest candy shop thieves. Please, let this game die
If they do release one for the Ps3 then they need to improve a LOT on the other 2 games.
I bought true crime:new york,plyed for an hour or so and then took it back.Why?Coz it annoyed the crap out of me!For numerous reasons!
1)Annoying hand to hand fighting.Once you more than 2 people to take you got killed.Simply coz it was too hard to attack one person.Nevermind several people.
2)annoying driving bits.I was shouting and swearing just because of how crap the cars handled.
3)The shooting bits.Many time I was hidden behind a wall,supposedly for cover,and the enemies could shoot through the walls.

I have True Crime: Streets of L.A., but it was way to easy.... and too many probs. The storyline wasn't bad, but could have been better( GTA style). I am hoping for the new True Crime that will maybe released, to have no probs and glitches like it's younger brothers! :D

oh, right. My mistake. I think it would be good if they solved the actual gameplay, individual elements were better than GTA but they didn't blend them together well.
The idea of the game is a good one but they need to make it work a lot better.

i still remember gta san andreas when you put the guy on the windshield putting people in the trunk would be fun and would probably have some funny comments especially if it was in gta :lol:

ooo, i had basically forgot about true crime. would be a nice addition to the library but i don't know if i would rush out to get it, would most likely be a bargain bin/ sale purchase
lol a 3 year old thread lol.. but anyway i only played the first one which i thought was terrible so i wouldnt lose any sleep if they never made another one
I liked the first one a lot, but this is still a three year old thread that should disappear again..
