PS Home Beta 0.83 Footage Video 2 of 3/5 [Archive]

I have anonymously received an email through my consolecrusader.com email containing the second of possibly 3 to 5 videos of the new content in the Home Beta 0.83. I assume this is from the same person....

wow. notice in the second video, you can make 'phone calls'. In other words, voice chat. If this is in in-game XMB, so i can chat while playing any and all ps3 games, i will be a very happy man indeed.

This looks great, I wish the guy actually LAUNCHED the game instead of teasing the entire god **** GLOBE by hovering over it and showing off their game list. RAWR.

Ok just got another email from the anonymous user... 3 things

1 - next video will have proof its 0.83..
2 - Please ask people what they want next
3 - He will post his setup to show he is not me......

Guess that means I have to go my myspace and get my setup pics...great!! I LOVE BEING THE MIDDLE MAN!

Ask him to launch a game to show how the connection between players are made.

By the way, it's obvious you have some sort of connection with the guy ;) and you're just keeping his id secret so he doesn't or if it is infact you don't get into **** for leaking the updates.

I am just getting emails from this person...I personally don't know anyone in RL with my friends who has Home.....I just see a random email in my inbox with information to pass onto everyone...I don't reply or anything..hell I can't reply.....I tried and I got back outlook errors like the email doesn't exist at all....anyway hope he answers your requests. I let everyone know when the 3rd video is coming...

ask him what happens when you hit the PS button. messaging, or just the 'quit game' menu?

Also, can you stream your music/video to other users yet?

Can you put your own pics on the walls of your apartment?

you can put your own pics but when your decorating, theres an option to add appliances(tv, radios, which will enable streaming of your media) but the tab is empty, so i guess its not ready yet. i feel sorry for the dude leaking this vids because they're actually monitoring this things(doesnt matter if you create multiple avatars, they'll know lol sucks for your anonymous friend)

Trying to keep things a secret when you're doing a beta is just not possible. Sony should just let the info flow. We're that close to release now.

One more question....Will there be any big surprises when this thing launches? i.e. unexpected features or functionality?

you turn the PS3 on, you see the XMB, but HOME has a better XMB?

Oh wait, i get it... Phil said that majority of the stuff inside the HOME XMB will be on the desktop XMB

i believe its Youtube's fault. they seem to monitor and prescreen everything that is uploaded
