its the file that you use when saving a Photoshop file that will still carry all of your layer information...otherwisae its compressed....or a tiff file works too.

StrikeMaster Ice does not however have the PSD, I did but then I acciedently deleted it when I was organizing my folders of images. So....

Nice one VG247, way to screw over every single hardcore fan out there. We already knew Jill was dead from TGS, so why go and pretend she is alive with this bollocks?

I was SO excited after spotting this story. Then I read the full article.

Wankers.

Lol, I guess Resident Evil is one of your favourite series too Mike? Did you ever play Alone in the Dark, the first one?

Its actually working playing, even today if you have a PC :p

Heh, you could say that, mate. And I haven't actually played Alone in the Dark, oddly enough -- it's something i'd like to try oneday!

I've been a fan of Resident Evil since 1997 -- I was very disappointed what they did with 4, as it just didn't feel like RE at all to me. Now this development has upset me even more, as Jill is one of the most popular characters. You don't kill someone off like that without at least giving her a proper sendoff.

So yeah, Capcom aren't on my Christmas list this year. :P

Indeed, I'd agree but I did like Resident Evil 4 when I tried to look at it as a different type of game in the series, much like survivor was a different game, but that one was really shit.

Who knows what they end up doing with Jill, but if the story line just kills her off that would be pretty shit indeed. Now, if they did it a bit like Resident Evil 2, with the whole ada death thing, that would be at least a bit better. I think the 2nd one had the best story, but the first one had the best atmosphere :)

That's the case with Alone in the Dark, there isn't really a storyline so to speak, just books to read and interesting stuff to find out about. Back then, I found it a pretty creepy game, but I was only about 7 or 8 when we had Alone in the Dark and it was actually one of the first games I played on the PC, with UFO Enemy Unknown and Dune 2.

If you do manage to get a copy of Alone in the Dark, it would probably still be worth it, although the graphics are dated now but it still plays well. You can see how Resident Evil was shaped from it when you play. The new Alone in the Dark should have been a remake of the old one, with extended parts. Capcom did a good job at doing a RE1 remake on the GameCube, Atari should look at that hehe.

If you have a PC let me know, I might have a spare copy of Alone in the Dark that I can get out to you, as It would be interesting to see what you think about it. Some of the puzzles are pretty difficult, but you can get walkthroughs these days. Back then it took us a few years to complete it since we didn't have walkthroughs, unless you bought a magazine.

It should run pretty well under dosbox, I also have it on my 3DO which makes it a hell of a lot easier to get running/control.
