iv had a problem for nearly 2 days stright now an its really buggin me, cause i can not be invited to my friends lobby once i accept yes from my m8z invite i get downloadin game settings for quite a dam while iv tryed everything from restatin the game switchin off my ps3 on turnin it bk on again but it still wont let me in m8z lobby even if i invite them to mine they cant get in. has any1 else had this problem? if so any idea how i could fix this.

tha only advice i can give ya is to ride it out, it should take less than 15 minutes.

:lol: Man I've never seen that message up for more than 20-30 seconds. You definitely shouldn't be sitting at that screen for more than a minute. Definitely not 5 or even 15 minutes.
I myself have never had this problem, like I said the longest I've seen this message up was about half a minute....now a few days ago a buddy of mine who just got a PS3 was trying to join my party invites...he was unable to do so. I was smoking a cig and talking to him on the cellular device and explained how in RSV (first one) there were times were it took forever for things like messages to show up in the game....I told him to try and delete his history, cache, cookies and then retry....by the time I got back to the PS3 and sent him an invite he did it....he was able to join. We played for a while that night and he had no problems. Maybe try that? I dunno...then again maybe him simply signing off and then back on the game kind of reset the games connection. I dunno, I just think that when someone gets hung up on the Downloading Game Settings menu that something with their connection is either not allowing things to progress thus kinda stopping on this bull **** message....I dunno man....like I said it seemed to work for him, may or may not do the same for you.
reset your router, as im sure your probably using one, and reset your modem
im having the same problem since friday.. that stupid message is killing my pacience.. i did everything I've read here and nothing happend.. is it the server again??

Well than you are screwed. Get RSV2. Takes 3 seconds to join a game.
I thought RSV2 Online was ******???

try entering your connection settings manually (Entering the primary and secondary dns adresses helped me solve that problem)
Try disabing the media server on your ps3
And someone told me that disabling the upnp on your router and ps3 will fix this problem.

I have never had that exact problems with the "Downloading Game Settings" part. However, at times when i accept or send invites to my friends, it comes up with "Server Full" or "Cannot Connect to Host" or something to that effect. I think to myself, it is a Party, how can it be full? Anyway, since you have restarted your PS3 and whatever else, there isn't a lot else i can suggest other than ensuring both you and your friend have the latest update along with having your ports forwarded properly.
