All you need to do is click on the 'amakrits.cskin' and it should install itself, might have to restart CAD if it is already open and the theme should already be changed it will then walk you through the setup for the skin.

Um, I'm not sure what could be wrong, have you got the latest version of CAD? I know the final version of 2.0 came out.

Perhaps try reinstalling CAD and the skin mght solve it, otherwise I'm not sure. Sorry.

No, its not a theme. I will explain. The top is CAD (CD Art display) and I'm using a custom theme that stretches all the way across the top.

The items you see on the left are from a program called rainmeter (http://www.ipi.fi/~rainy/legacy.html). You can download it at that website. It says there is a new one called rainlendar, but that one does not work with what I have. Rainmeter is running a custom made theme I got from deviantart, enigma (http://kaelri.deviantart.com/art/Enigma-103823591)

The dock at the bottom is rocketdock, with some custom icons i found on deviantart (no link sorry). And my taskbar is hidden with taskbar-magic. All in windows 7.

1) Im very angry that you copied my wallpaper ;)

2) For custom icons, dock, and icon themes, look up Candybar. You have to buy it eventually (when you DL it, it only lasts for 15 days). But with some patience, you can get it for free ;)

Its so easy to customize stuff with it. All you have to do is have the patience to look up stuff on the internet for themes, icons, and what not. :)

Okay .. BIG PROBLEM.

I followed some guide on how to change my dock.
It was this one.

I got up untill this bit.

Go to Macintosh HD > /System/Library/Core Services/

Right-Click on "Dock" and select "Show Package Contents"

Go to /Contents/Resources/

Backup the files you are about to replace (Incase you did not listen, here they are)

Move those same original files to the trash

Then i got stuck
I reseted my Mac and now i have no dock !

How do i get my dock back !
I have the back up folder .. but where the hell do i put it to get back my dock !

@ Cliche: Thats why I told you to use CandyBar ;) If your dock disappears, just go in the terminal and type "killall Dock", exactly that way. Mine disappeared too and I got worried, but remembered the terminal. CandyBar is easy to use as all you do is drag and drop pictures into their respective places and the program does the rest. Also, if you dont like what you've done, you can reset them from CandyBar as well. It took me like at least 2 hours to find all the right icons and stuff. Deviantart is a great place for wallpapers and snazzy icons. :cool:

Why i went and followed another tutorial and didnt use Candy Bar is because i wanted to know whether its possible to change your dock bar in Candy Bar and you never answered.

( Im not blaming you for what happened by the way :lol: )

This is my dock at the moment .. i included my iTune mini player too.

I cant tell you the amount of relief i felt when it reappeard after i fixed it.
What i did was deleted everything in the Dock folder .. and then simply copied everything out of my Back Up Dock Folder into the Dock Folder.

Phew.

I posted the same thing on MacRumours forum .. and someone told me to Reinstall my entire OS !

WTF .. What kind of help is that ? :lol:

To change the size, right click on the desktop, and select view options. Then you should see something to make the icons bigger in size, as well as changing the text size. :)

i can help out with that.

when you go to your desktop just click on a blank part and then click up top where it says "finder" and then click "preferences" and a box will pop up. you can pick and choose what you want displayed on your desktop and how big and small.

i.e. i have nothing on my desktop if you look at mine.

various different programs. Im nost sure what hes using but I generally use samurize, but it may be a little difficult for people arent use to "install and go" programs since you basically set it up according to your specific pc and basically "program" it yourself. It's not difficult to learn. theres a lot of templates and tutorials out there for it if you look.

Linux is faster. Not user friendly thought. Has a learning curve. Ubuntu is pretty easy to learn though.

I was joking too. Hence the 'playful' rolleyes. But now that you mention it, someone said something a while back that is all too true. They were speaking of the consoles, but the same principal applies here:

Linux Mint is far better than ubuntu :

Mint is based off Ubuntu. Mint wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Ubuntu. And the only things I see better about mint is its speed, and it has its own software download portal.

Of course, any OS's speed is bogged down over time with more and more software.

Ubuntu is known to be the best supported Linux Distro out there in terms of hardware, documentation, vendor support, etc. I would say that makes it superior to mint.
