That's what I'm currently running on my notebook, it's native resolution is 1920x1200. When I get home, I'll post what I'm running on my desktop. It's a bit harder to find wallpapers for my desktop though 'cause 2500x1600 resolution images are kind of hard to come by but I've built quite the collection over the years. :wink:

Hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard.

Open up MS paint., and press "ctrl" and "v" at the same time.

Now save the file as a jpeg and find a place to host the photo.

Its not finished yet.
Ive still to add some code in (in process of fixing it) that will set taskbar entries to their specific desktop.
And i will be decreasing the size of the Desktop Selection Window to 2/3rds its size and putting a volume bar under that. (maybe even descrease to two desktops, not sure yet, i mainly only use two)
Then i change all the stats so they are vertical.
Then i have to find some place to put IM windows taskbars (i want IM taskbars to show regardless what Desktop im on.)
Also i will create a scrolling System tray so its not so big, hehe.
OH, and change the horrible colour! :lol:
I made a theme ages ago that was down the left (or can switch to the right) side.
But i lost that cause my stupid hard drive broke... :(

My Linux one is basically the default KDE view with the taskbar set on small with 2 V-Desktops and the same background.
The default KDE taskbar is perfectly fine for me.
I may edit it at some point, im not too sure yet...

Hard to say, since it's my work computer and most of the files are stored on the server. If I had to estimate it though I would say aobut 1/4 the server space which comes to about one hundred quintillion terabytes. That estimate may be low though.

Make the pic 2048 keeping the aspect ratio, then crop it to 768px high, then chop it in half, one for each screen. ;)

But if you go for horizontal span (which I recommend for sweet game lovin') then you don't need to chop it in half.

A64 3500+, Corsair 2GB (4x512MB) TwinX Dual Channel, BFG 7800 GT, Dual BenQ FP937s monitors (2560x1024@76Hz), 1.5TB of SATA HDDS RAID 0 (4 HDDs), running the Vista Transformation Pack as well as killed pointless services, removed half of the Windows crap, optimise and keep the directories clean, run loads of apps at once and have transparency running. Not a problem. :D

It's mucho fun when I can render and play UT2k4 at the same time! Albeit in a window, then again I only play the game in a window so that doesn't really count. :P

Ok first question, are you using nVIDIA or ATi?

If you're using nVIDIA then in the nView properties switch to horizontal span, then the taskbar will fill both screens and your wallpaper spreads across both as well, and on top of that you'll be able to play some games in 16:9/16:10/2:1 or higher res. :D

i have an ati x800xt all in wonder.

that taskbar feature would be cool but wouldnt work for me and i wouldnt want my background to stretch across both screens. i could do that anyway with the catalyst control center im pretty sure. same with the games i really wouldnt wanna play a game with about an inch and a half of plastic seperating the screens but its really all irrelevant anyways. to make it easier to understand ill take a picture of my setup.

i have my normal 17inch lcd as my primary, and then i have a 15inch lcd i modified into a projector (i put on the mgs4 trailer to give u an idea) the second picture is kinda blurry but u can see the little bump on the ceiling which is the light, then the coffee table wiht some books down in front, just to give u a reference of size.

my primary monitor is placed about 15ft or so directly back from the wall, which acts as the backdrop for my secondary "projector" display. so itd be way too cockeye'd if i tried to stretch things across both screens.

Ok in that case that's fair enough to have them separate, but wait a minute...how did you modify an LCD into a projector? That doesn't make sense.

sure it does.. the only reason u see anything the LCD displays is because of the backlight. without the backlight u wouldnt see anything but a dark screen. so essentially what i did was, take out the backlight, and substitute it with an overhead projector (like the ones youve seen in school) and there u go. the light from the projector illuminates the lcd screen up into the mirror which then projects the image out onto the wall/projector screen/whatever youd like

Make the pic 2048 keeping the aspect ratio, then crop it to 768px high, then chop it in half, one for each screen. ;)

I know it does, but multitasking on two monitors, plus doing rendering, and WAY more doesn't really touch 2GB RAM. Razz What are you running on, Varsh, if you don't mind me asking? I used to work on a dual monitored 3.2Ghz Pentium D (Oc'd to 3.8Ghz) with 6800 Ultra GPU workstation and 2GB of RAM also. Man, that thing was slllloooooow. That's the Vista Transformation Pack 4 by Windows X, you can get that here (http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8405). Just remember to read the instructions CAREFULLY, also if you don't have WindowsBlinds then install Glass2k.

Well when I was playing it on my FX5950 Ultra at Medium to high settings it looked beautiful, ran like a dream and more, till I saw what the game should look like on my flatmate's machine downstairs, it looked COMPLETElY different, more atmosphere, and a hell of a lot more eerie.

Let me put it this way, you remember that corridor along the tunnel where Anna runs across from behind the crate and you get a heartbeat sound? Wasn't scary was it? Now put it on a high end machine and you barely see her at all and does give you the willies.

If you could point me in the right direction to find Firefox 2 Beta 1 WITH "visual refresh" (new official style for Firefox 2), that would REALLY help. I can find Firefox 2 Beta 1, but it doesn't have the new style like the screenshots right beside the damn link. When I find a download WITH the new theme that's supposed to come with Firefox 2 Beta 1, I get the old Bon Echo.

Oh, and as for the desktop, she's Evangeline Lilly and she plays Kate on Lost.

I found the PSP background on google, so i used it. I like to keep things simple, so i dont have many shortcuts.

Windowblinds is a piece of software which allows you to use themes made by you or other people. Personally i hate it, and would advise you to steer clear.
The basic, slower version is free, but the premium version is "free" too.
