Hey everyone,
I'm going to be doing a lot of travelling on buses soon and i was thinking about getting a psp to make it a bit more interesting. The thing is i haven't really been interested in the psp up until now so i dont know a lot about what's good and what's bad.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to look out for before i go buying one? PSP models? Packages? Games to buy? Bear in mind that i'm living in Ireland so any suggestions would have to be released in Europe.
Thanks in advance
yeah the psp is a gd choice, i own 2 psps 1 of the older gens and the 2nd gen psp-slimnlite.
i have both my my psps hacked with full of homebrew isos
but yeah i suggest psp-slimnlite n the best 3 games i can suggest would b tekken darkressurection, Final Fantasy 7 Crisis core, god of war, if u want any tips on how to hack the psp ill refere u to a gd site :D

Go for it, the psp is one of the best hanhelds thats been released, if not the best, it has loads of functions including an mp3 player, video playback you can upload your photos onto it, and many more, would give you full list but sold my psp 2 months ago!
Be careful with your hacking and stuff as i know a few people who have hacked their psp and it has died, me i never mess about with pre installed stuff unless it is a legit update or mod.
I enjoyed playing call of duty, lemmings, tomb raider, ridge racer, there are plenty of games out there its just down to personal preference to what kind of games you enjoy.
As for what package to get again there aare going to be loads to pick from i suggest looking at play.com, amazon and dabs.com, good luck with your purchase you wont regret it.

A rave review yet you sold it? Times must be tough.
To the OP you wont regret it. I wouldn't get any of the games that come bundled. As long as you get a 1 gb memory stick that will be enough to get you started with multimedia. You may want to go with 4GB eventually. As for the games some of them are epic must play games like Crisis Core, or GOW. Some of them are great time killers. I just got Midway arcade treasures for $10 and it has a lot of old games I really like. but the list of games is endless and you'll never be bored on a bus again.

Thanks for all the info guys. I had a look around yesterday evening and eventually bought a package at zavvi that had the psp slim+lite, an accessories kit and any 2 games for €240 :-D:-D:-D.
I dont think crisis core is released in Europe yet is it? Was thinking about placing a pre-order online for it anyway at some stage.

I too sold my psp (& my wii) for my ps3, however the psp was awesome. I simply stopped using it bc i wasn't traveling as much.
A game like "Bust a move ghost" or Sid meier's Pirate are great for traveling.

Crisis Core comes out 20th June in Europe, get it on pre-order for the special edition. Also, do yourself a favor and get Patapon in the meantime :)

Hey everyone,
I'm going to be doing a lot of travelling on buses soon and i was thinking about getting a psp to make it a bit more interesting.
I will be traveling to Philadelphia, PA USA later this year and I'm buying the God of War PSP bundle because of it. I don't know about your bus rides but my flight will about around 6 hours. A psp, movies, and games seem like the psp option. I would think newer (slim) is better.
If you get a psp slim and a 2GB or more memory card then that be good for converting DVDs films to a file and watching them on the PSP.
As for them games, GTA Vice city stories, Secret agent clank (out in a few weeks), burnout and SSX are worth getting.

that's what I was planning on doing. I've seen people play "secret agent clank", that's another reason why I'm getting a psp.

I would suggest 2 games, MOH heros 1 or 2, and Starwars Battlefront Renegade
The psp God of War bundle would be a good choice. I ordered it from Amazon. No tax and free shipping.
