i asked this in another thread but no one answered me, maybe this way i can have an answer.. also, this might be useful to other members also
1 - a problem that i realise is concerned with the battery life time ( can anyone tell me how much they last ??? )
2 - another question.. can we use psp like a mp3 player?
3 - can we transfer the mp3 files from a regular pc ( perhaps using usb?? ) to a memory stick ( i don't know if psp is compatible with them )??
4 - can we play divx on it? thanks
sorry if this has already been asked before or if these are boring questions but i never gave much attention to psp until now
Pretty much everything you asked there is already done on the psp except divx so there you go.
yeah, like he said, pretty much everything.
The battery life really varies depending on the brightness you have the screen set to. What game you're playing or if you're listening to music.
Usually when i'm playing GTA:LCS on the brightest screen settings it'll last me about 3 and a half hours which is pretty good for me.
Music will last you about 5 hrs.

i didn't knew about the new battery, its nice to see sony trying to improve it.. anyway, playing for 3,5 hours seems a really short ammount of time for a handheld.. also for listening music the ammount of time seems very reduced..
1.
Depending on how long your using your psp for at a single time obviosuly effects how long the battery lasts.
UMD films use up much less battery than games so you get about 4-5 hours with games and about 5-6 hours with movies.
2.
Yes psp can be used for mp3's.
If you have nothing but game save files and mp3s you can get about 5-6 songs on the 32 mbstick. Getting a bigger size stick is HIGHLY advised by me.
3.
The only way to get em on their is to already have them on a PC and transfer them with a usb cable.
4.
No, you can't play DivX, but their is plenty of software out their that can convert DivX into a compatible format for psp, the file has to be downscaled for PSP's screen anyway.

Hey there:
1 - a problem that i realise is concerned with the battery life time ( can anyone tell me how much they last ??? )
Bettery lasts depending on what you do and the settings you have:
When listening to music, photo viewing>8-9 H
When playing games or using WiFi function>6-8 H
When playing movies>2-6 H
Depending on the volume level and the screen brightness, battery might run out earlier or later.
2 - another question.. can we use psp like a mp3 player?
Sure! PSP is a portable media station. You need a USB cable or a Memory Stick device pluged into your PC. Also, PSP can play WMA if you ativate the funcion via wireless.
If using the USB cable, go to the option tab and select USB connection.
If using the Memory Stick, use an adapter if the device has no Memory Stick Duo plug.
3 - can we transfer the mp3 files from a regular pc ( perhaps using usb?? ) to a memory stick ( i don't know if psp is compatible with them )??
Yeah, from PC, laptop, MAC, linux, etc...As long as you have USB and your PC has
4 - can we play divx on it? thanks
No, PSP has no DivX support. You can download PSP Video 9 (4.4MB) (http://www.videohelp.com/~pspvideo9/pspVideo9_Install.exe) and convert a wide selection of supported formats to MPEG4. Compatibility goes from .WMV, .MOV, .AVI, etc...
I hope i solved your questions.

PSPVideo9 can convert videos of many kinds into MPEG4. It also will transfer the video onto your PSP for you.

Hey there:
Yeah, i think PSP 9 is able to convert DVD files into MPEG4, but you need a big memory stick, and a lot of patience, since it is hard to encode form one to nother.
As ampere mentioned, if you plug in the PSP directly to the USB port, PSP video9 recognizes it, and analyzes the space you have in your PSP used in music, games and video!
Also PSP video is able to create different profiles so you can have a top quality file, or a low quality file. It all depends on how much space you pln on taking.

Hey there:
PSP video9 is a program running on Microsoft Windows, that is able to transfrorm and compress many kinds of video files into MPEG4, the viedo format used by the PSP.
MPEG4 is a relatively good and weightless file that contains audio+video compressed in the same file.

IGN.com just received a slew of brilliantly captured screenshots of Naughty Dog's upcoming PS3 exclusive, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. If a picture is worth 1,000 words, then a lot of gamers should be left speechless after this run of images. A couple of them feature Nathan Drake in cold climate, while the others bring us back to warmer temperatures and perhaps an opportunity to grab a cold one rather than being the cold one.
We've included the images below. To view them in full-size, check them out here (http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/14225971/uncharted-2-among-thieves/images/uncharted-2-among-thieves-20090318093719469.html?page=mediaFull).
