Is the forum gonna be online now?

is the forum gonna be online from now, of is this just testing the forum or wot
and anyways morphus i thought u said that u were gonna do a mail thing to say that the forum is up and running when it is
i wonder how many members uve lost after that little *cough cough* amount of time the forums was offline. not every1 is like me, i checked back here every 2 days!!!!!!! well most of the time anyway, it was a sort of right been to ps3i now what oh right yes ps3forums
well i hope u wont have any more problems with your host

yea i spose your right, but most of em will just go to PS3i as its so much bigger and more established no that it matters
nice 2 see your back on this forum again though, any sign of the staff members? seem to have dissapered after getting the forum back online

I've talked to morpheus right before the boards came back up, they'll be around. Dont worry bout ps3i, every bit of traffic they get they disserve but this isn't about a competition aspect to me. I like these boards and people so this is where I kind of lurk.

Hey we're still here. I really appreciate your devotion to the boards Gaming Ultima and you PSX Junkie. I got a few things to say about things though Gaming Ultima...

In the grand scheme of things 1 month out of the PlayStation 3’s 2004-2009/10 web life cycle isn't going to do a huge deal of damage (although it was pretty damn annoying! - and we're really sorry - but it was kinda out of our hands unfortunately).

PS3 Portal has twice the traffic it was getting a month ago and its traffic is continually increasing. Be sure to keep a look out for Rebonuk's new layout on his site PS3 Land as well - which should both help the forum regain some much needed traffic.

The site is back up but we still have fixes to make and 20 odd posts to catch up on :) But that's about it and you can be sure to have the forum running smoothly again in no time. This weekends the time for all the forum mods to be fixed so defiantly check back then.

PS3i may be more established but as far as we're concerned PS3 Forums is going to be a better forum and considering they're a year older than us were doing pretty well (apart from the obvious recent set backs). Don’t forget that PS3 isn’t even out yet and that’s when the forum will really explode!

The fact that they don't have their own domain name for their forum is a major weakness and how with our ambition to succeed and our technical web expertise by PS3 launch time I think it will be quite a different story.

Fifth Phantom Saga

Last year at E3, Sega presented a new title for the PS3 that looks to combine guns and ghosts into one game.

The demo that Sega showed had a character walking around corridors with a summoned armored Phantom who floated around on screen and carried out various commands. The Phantom seemed to be capable of anything from destroying things in your path to grabing boxes magnetically. Then while all of this goes on, your character can hide and take cover to preserve ammo and let his summoned ghost do the rest.

So the basics behind the game are that you summon ghosts and you can direct them where you want them. You can use the Phantoms to solve puzzles and use them to kill any enemies that seem to be a threat. In the demo sequence that was shown, even in gunfights, the player only had to unload once.

Visually the game still looks rough. Although it was gameplay footage shown and not pre-rendered concepts. Sega still has their work cut out for them The corridors were simple square rooms but were showing fantastic textures, something similar to that seen from the Unreal 3 engines. The character Phantom and first-person arm also showed advanced modeling and normal mapping that were impressive.

So, from the looks of things, Fifth Phantom Saga looks to be a creative and innovative game that will bring some new spice to the FPS genre.
