Yeah if you really want to get a good gaming rig right now. Yeah the ATI cards are it. Why do you want a blu-ray/hd dvd burner?
you should try http://www.scan.co.uk/

1. You probably can save a few bucks on the power supply, 750 should be sufficient for what you have so far.

2. A Q6600 overclocked would do you just as well as a Q9300.

3. Should try and get an ATI 4870, they perform much better than the 8800gt for the same price (or around the same price).

If im correct i read in another thread that some guy just bought a 4870 for £170 so i would go for that man, it's cheaper and from the benchmarks it performs better.

i said 'why????????????????????' to fill the 25 character requirment so there was no need for your silly reply, as for the sarcasm if people didnt ask such silly questions with obvious answers i wouldnt need to, if someone asks me why i want a blu-ray drive its obviously so i can watch blu-ray discs...

Thanks to everyone else for there feedback. :D

i said 'why????????????????????' to fill the 25 character requirment so there was no need for your silly reply,Your posts were much more silly than his. If you leave an incoherent post, expect an incoherent response. The 25 Word rule is there for a reason, and it is not for putting "why????????????????????" so you don't have to put together an actual response.

how else would i ask why? 'im writing all this bs to ask you why because of the 25 character limit'... umm no thanks.

you could have said something like "why should i go with that card over the one i chose?" its not hard to write 5 words.

and he 1000w PSU is abit overkill, do what recipe suggested

Do not start building your own computer until you have maxiumum knowledge of what you are doing.

Plus if you do the job bad you will either be able to sell it for pennys or you will not be able to sell it at all.

GuitarrassDeAmor

Goldy, you don't know what you are talking about. It only takes looking at the directions, and not even that for most to build a PC....if he does a bad job he can only sell it to pennies....yeah sure.

Joeold posted a nice build. I agree with going the 4850/4870 route for the GPU.

OP, you can really save a bunch of money if you cut back on the PSU and case. If you only go single card then you can get away with a good 450-500W PSU with your configuration. Also, I think that case might be a bit overkill as well. I know cases are one of the luxury "preference" items when building a computer, but for function/price you can definitely snag something better.
