Hi all. Just wanted your opinions on the Tennis games that are available for the PS3. Do you prefer Virtua Tennis or Top Spin?
I have owned Virtua but I'm thinking of getting Top Spin but I've seen some dodgy reviews for it (especially about the control system), I've downloaded the demo and quite like it but think the demo is too short to form a full opinion. I often find the best reviews are from the peeps that play the games so any help/info is greatly appreciated.
Vote in the poll and leave some feedback please.

top spin 3. there are no bad reviews, the percentage is around 8 outta 10. It is hard to get to grips with at 1st, but once you learn ( there is a good tutorial in game ) its really rewarding. graphics are good, but there is a distinct learning curve. not many people online (psn). this is more of a realistic game than virtua tennis. on the ps3 version you get rafa nadal. imho, if you like tennis then buy this game. the create a mode character has a LOT of options in order to take ur charcter on career mode. the only reason some people dont like it, is that you cant pick up and play, ala virtua tennis, u actually have to learn. but like i said once u learn, its all good!

The old one was probably Virtua Tennis 3, right? If so, I like this one. That said, I haven't played the new one, but tennis games own.

Yeah, I know what you're saying Guitarrass. I love a good tennis game but I'm not really a fan of watching it on the TV. Maybe it's because it takes me back to playing Pong in the late 70's lol.
Thanks for the advice up to now guys, keep em coming.
If you want a pick up and play arcade type tennis game then go for Virtua Tennis. (did have it)
If you want more of a simulation true to the sport then go for Top Spin 3. (i got it today, very good)

I like virtua tennis more than i liked top spin. I thought it was a bit more arcadey and more fun than top spin was.

The demo for the Virtua Tennis awhile ago was fun, but I wouldn't spend the money on a tennis game. I have downloaded the Top Spin demo and haven't played it yet though.
