Konami Acquires the UEFA Champions League License

According to this article, Konami has struck a deal with UEFA to land the Champions League license. The only thing that is unknown at this point is if it'll be included in the upcoming PES 2009 game or if it'll be a completely different title.

Konami are a very successful company and certainly would never sell to EA. Also it is extremely possible as EA has all the official league licenses it probably doesnt believe the champions league license is essential to fifa as a game
