i agree that one actuelly seems neat, and something sony would use. i wouldnt mind seeing that on billboards around here. :D

the second one i like the point your getting too but can be taken in the wrong way.

Can't see much has been done in either but they are ok. The one with the three characters isn't as good but it's okay.

Not much is supposed to have been done. I'm a minimalist. Negative space is just as effective as tons of colors/effects/graphics - often more so. Gaming is such a visual experiece, filled with so many variables and ways of getting your attention - that doesn't always mean more stuff is needed to do so.

Yes, but negative space should be assosciated with an interesting layout, the negative space is just boring here in my opinion, as you can see I do some pretty simple stuff aswell, just look at my sig now... I would have thought, gaming being such a visual experience you would need something pretty special to represent the idea of Playstation 3 gaming properly.

I get what your saying though, the PS3 (the console) should be isolated to represent how it truly is. Decent work, I would have at least slightly blended the three pics, or colour balance them.

Well, I will agree to disagree. You contradict yourself more than once, Skribble.

Also, in reference to your sig - this is purely from one designer to another criticism; I'm not a fan. It's just a gradient in the lettering, and a stock pic the 3 versions of the console. Also, it's just a dark blue overlay with some opacity, and the 'headline' layout of the text is just very vanilla and... expected.

I suppose we just have different opinions... the curse of design :twisted:

Agreed, as a designer I would be concerned if a)I didn't disagree with people and b)wasn't crazy.

-6 USB ports
-7 Bluetooth controller capacity
-2 terraflops
-NVIDIA RSX gpu
