Peter Jackson's King Kong
by: Keesie
http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/7720/kingkong200508090640292169of.jpg
Published by: Ubisoft
Developed by: Ubisoft Paris/Montreal

Introduction to the world of King Kong:
Ever seen the movie King Kong (1933)??? Ever seen King Kong (1974)???
I'm sure you have, if not buy the dvd of King Kong (2005) next month!
It was last year, that director Peter Jackson released his new movie: King Kong. It was not like the remake from back in 1974 no, it was a complete remake from the 1933 version, just in the same style.
If you have seen either one of these versions, you must know: A game of this movie could be spectacular! Michael Ancel, the man behind Beyond Good and Evil, and Peter Jackson, the man behind The Lord of the Rings movies, gave it a try.
At last year's E3 Mr. Ancel and Mr. Jackson gave the world its first touch on King Kong : The Game.
Everyone was so excited about this game, how great and free it was to play Kong.
However when the game finally released back in November the ratings were all between the 8 and the 9. What happened?
That's what you are about to find out!
Gameplay:
The game begins with an introduction video, it shows you a bit what the story is about . You start playing when you arrive at the coast. You will play as Jack. An actor for Carl Denhams movie. You just see Carl filming in this game. All the voices are from the actors of Peter Jackson's movie. That's pretty kool, you just feel more like you play the movie.
I played the game before I actually saw the movie. When I played the game again, I noticed the game isn't at all like the movie. It has its own style.
The first thing you will probably notice, when start playing at the arrival on Skull Island, is you don't have a HUD. No healthbar, no bar to show how many bullet you've left etc. However I didn't even miss it in the intire game. Miss it? No, I found it great not having the HUD. You don't see you weapons too. If you click you left mouse button you will just punch. If you want to shoot, first hold the spacebar (the weapon you currently have shows up) and press the left mouse button. If you want to shoot more precisly just press the right mouse button. The weapons are in style from 1933, you just have a normal pistol, a machine gun, a shotgun and a sniper.
If you want to know how many bullets you have left. Just press 't' and Jack will tell you. That was a great movie feeling.
In most games you still feel like you are on it alone. In King Kong it still is, the AI is not that good. But something made me feel like I didn't do it al alone. You company members are around you, and yell at you when you got to do something like help them. If you are out of ammo, you can always ask your fellows for a weapon. If they have one they will throw it to you. It gives you the emotional thing like in the movie.
Ancel built some kind of a food-system in his game, which actually works pretty well. If you have a spear (or a twig) , you can stick it in worms and throw it away to lure enemies to somewhere else. And you can lighten your spear to burn some plants down, so you can move on.
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/9908/kingkong200508090640299197vp.jpg
You play as Jack about 80%, the other parts you play with King Kong. Playing Kong has a totally new game experience. You can really smash away every enemy, you can lift up rocks. That gives you a feeling like you are ''the King of the World''. The best part of playing Kong is fighting the T-rex. If you hit them enough Kong will be able to grab them and do his special attack. For instance Kong can break the T-rex his head, the attacks look so brutal! They thing that's bad about the Kong levels : they are so simple.
You also meet some T-rex playing as Jack, but that levels aren't really amazing. They really look scary, only nothing happens.
The game ends when Kong hits the streets of New York City. That was the best level of the game in my opinion. All the cars you can throw away, a bus you have to lift up and throw away. The city is just so in panic!
And then finally you will be able to climb the Empire State Building!
The climbing is just boring, nothing happens. You just hear people yelling that's all. But when you made it to the top, the fun begins. At least that's what I thought. The planes arrive and start shooting at you. This took me about 5 minutes and then it was done.
And suddenly you feel it, the level was too short, the game was too short, and playing as Kong was too short.
It was fun, but the only thing that kept me playing were the levels with Kong. Everything with Kong was worked out great, however the levels with Kong were too short.
When you finished the game you will probably have enough points to see all the new extra's. One of the extra's is an alternative end. It's still on the top of the Empire State Building, it isn't really different. Ofcourse Kong dies at the end.
Graphics:
The graphics were good on the PC. The shadows were like most games are now. You didn't have any amazing PC graphics.
At least for the normal PC version. On Ubisoft's online store you were able to order a better PC version, which had graphics like the Xbox 360. But there for you needed a 3.0 Ghz processor, a 256 graphics card, and 2 Gigs of Ram. Most PC gamers don't have that, I think.
Presentation/sound:
The presentation of the menu isn't really great. The menu is just like every other game.
However the lack of the HUD is amazing, just brilliant done by Ancel's crew.
You also find some extra's like the extra level, and some interviews. And some design sketches made for the movie.
All those extra's must be unlocked, you do that by collecting points through the intire game. By playing through the level without dying and without using to many bullets. And on the internet you have an international top list of who has collected most points.
The sound is from the movie also, they sounds are pretty good. It sounds so real, hearing that T-rex or King Kong. However you don't have 5.1 surround, you got to live with stereo-sound. Every game has 5.1 surround sound nowadays so King Kong should have it too.
OVERALL
King Kong is a good game. However you don't play as Kong enough, which was the thing everyone wanted. It almost did everything it could, amazing gameplay and stuff. And the game is too short, that's the one and only reason for the lower then expected ratings.
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
Gameplay:
Gameplay is ok, it's everything a standard shooter has. Plus some new elements, I didn't see before. Like the food-system. And the huge plus is playing King Kong.
8.5
Graphics:
The graphics are just not really amazing, just the quality you would expect from every game nowadays. But the way the invironment is done is great, lightning when it rains.
8.0
Presentation/Sound:
Playing without a HUD was absolutely amazing. And if you just want that HUD, just choose it in the menu. The sound is great with all the real sounding animals like Kong or the T-rex! Well done Ubisoft!
9.0
How long will it last on my game shelf?:
This is just a game you want to play one time, you see everything. And you don't need to go through it all again.
7.0
Overall Score:
8.1

NBA 2K6 Review
By:nyjetsfan604
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx_assets/product_images/257420.jpg
Platform-Xbox 360
Publisher- 2K sports
Developer-Visual Concepts
Genre-Sports
Release Date- Nov 15,2005
Introduction:
You think just because they have a 2k6 for the xbox and ps2 means you don't have to buy it for the 360 right? Well you are wrong.
Gameplay 70/100
The modes in this game are the same exact modes as the PS2's and Xbox. The 24/7 mode is a standout as it is a campaign including NBA stars and street ballers. The Association which is a franchise mode has a Team Chemistry which can make players better for example at shooting. The V.I.P system lets you learn about your past opponents and let you load their moves into your team mates. The Crib which has a lot of stuff for example mini games a jukebox
Graphics 80/100
For those people who don't have a HDTV will be disappointed in how NBA 2K6 looks like in lower resolution. But the sweat looks great and makes it real for example in the middle of the game you will start seeing the players sweat when shooting free throws. The crowd always stand up when someone on the home team makes a point. You can see the musles everytime you begin to shoot.
Audio-90/100
The audio is great you mostly hear the commentary you might hear the sneaker squeaks but not all of the time. The music is ok there is only 3 songs that I like. But you can still listen to the music you put it there or the music MS put in there.
Online-100/100
The online is great it tells you what is your overall record and it tells you what you have to inprove and what are you doing good. One problem is that there is to many good people.
Overall- 75/100
This game might be the exact same game as the PS2's and Xbox but still the sweat feature and the jersey jumping every time you shoot is good. Also you will not get bored with the online play and the Assocation mode because online people are always on and with Association there is no limit where you have to stop.
PS3 Forums rating
Gameplay- 7
It was the same one as the current gen but still the association mode and online makes you keep on playing.
Graphics- 8
This game might not be impressive without a HDTV but still the sweat and jersey looks geat.
Presentation-10
The menu and interface is awsome. When you start playing the game someone starts announing the starting player of the home team.
How long will this game be on the shelf? 4
This game will ok but with NBA live 2006 and the 2007 season coming up this year everyone will buy 2K7.
Overall Score- 8.0 (OK)
nice job reviewing but, you sound like you are not a "pro" reviewer like you are talking
like you woul dto your friends
in other words, next time you do a review, make it sound professional
btw were is the how long it will last on my game self category?
have to post this again as I deleted it in the first post:
Socom 3:
by: firefox
http://www.teamctf.com/blog/uploads/Socomm3screen001.jpg
Published by: SOE (sony computer entertainment)
Developed by: Zipper Interactive
Release Date: October 11, 2005 (US)
ESRB rating: Rated "M" for mature
Introduction:
are you ready soldier? well are you? are you ready for another socom game
to add to the series? with more levels, bigger maps, and better AI that will
make you so scared that it send you crying back to the base?
Get ready for war soldier, because that is what socom is all about.
Your going to need courage to get through this game.
Gameplay:
http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/article/656/656774/socom-3-us-navy-seals-20051007063347960-000.jpg
Socom is without a doubt Sony’s Halo, the game itself has made people including myself, buy the playstation 2 console and also the online adapter. When a game sells a console, you know that it is good, and in my opinion it has some of the best gameplay of any other 3rd-person shooter game on the ps2.
Now, I have played every game in the Socom series and the first game was great, and made me really look forward to Socom II, but the second in the series did not have many new features or different missions thus I was disappointed and was in doubt of the appeal of the future Socom games. But Socom III sure did not disappoint this time, it was packed with all new vehicles, weapons, more missions, and larger online maps.
Now when I started to play Socom on lieutenant mode, I literally got addicted, and when I mean addicted I mean playing it 5 hours a day (I happened to finish the game in 3 days lol). It had everything that makes the gamer feel apart of a authentic military experience. It had tight controls, easy to learn controls (a bit hard to switch weapons I have to admit), mission briefings, enemy/ally profiles, weapons to select to take on your mission (in every game nothing special), news radio (tells you what is going on to make you get a feel of the situation and what you are trying to achieve in the mission, and of course what I love the most about the game:
The vehicles
Now the Zipper Interactive team did a great job really improving the detail of the game especially the vehicles. Socom III allows you to enter literally “any” vehicle that you see on the map, be it your vehicle, an abandoned car you see on a dirt road, or even an enemy vehicle (that’s right no more disappearing enemy and enemy vehicle when you kill the enemy). Now not only do you drive a vehicle (many options such as boats, pickups, cars, tanks, etc…) just your team can go on the vehicle as well so that you can switch seats so that your team can drive the vehicle while you take up the turret or you can just sit on a seat and relax. (AI is not that good at driving but good at shooting with turrets however).
Now I know that most of you were really aggravated with Socom II and really temperamental because the game did not have a checkpoint system and that you had to finish the whole mission before saving the game. But with Socom III you can rest knowing that you can save the game at each checkpoint in the mission instead of constantly being on your seat and throwing you controller across the room because you died before finishing the mission, like you did with Socom II.
Before I had mentioned that the AI is good, well it is, good enough for the enemy to take cover, duck, and hide from your gunfire but there are still some things that I thought zipper could improve on like how the AI that drives boats just goes in circles around the whole map, how I keep on having to tell bravo to follow since they stop after each checkpoint, and something that would be nice is if the AI in the game reacted to the sound of gunfire.
All in all, the Single player is a HUGE improvement form Socom II, now if you liked the singleplayer campaign in Socom I or II, you will love the campaign in Socom III.
Graphics:
http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/article/654/654531/socom-3-us-navy-seals-20050928055406603.jpg
Now the graphics in Socom III are a very noticeable improvement of Socom II, the Zipper Interactive team have improved the level of detail of objects, buildings, landscape(still could use a bit of work) and most noticeable the enemies, now I know that the graphics are poor when you compare it to GOW or xbox 360 but hey it’s good for the ps3
presentation/sound:
http://musicmedia.ign.com/music/image/object/775/775260/jamesdooley160_100705.jpg
above: James Dooley- Video game Composer and Music Composer for Socom III
For Socom III, James Dooley did a great time this time around with the soundtrack especially with the theme song in the beginning which takes you to the main interface. In my opinion, the songs for Socom III are probably the best scores around for shooters. The song actually makes you feel “in the game” and makes your heart skip a beat especially when the music changed when you get attacked by surprise. But I have to say the main theme for the Socom III game is in my opinion in the top ten list of songs for any game. It was so good it made me proud of the army and stand up and sing the star-spangled banner (even though I did not know the words to it since I am Canadian  )
presentation:
The interface/menu for the game is very sleek but it could have been worked on personally I though it was too dull and boring. But what really stood out to me was the mission briefing. It was beautifully presented starting with the world wide news talking about the situation (problem you are trying to solve ex: taking PM hostage), profiles/ mug shots of the enemies/allies you will encounter in your mission, weapon selection etc…It made me feel like it was a real military mission briefing. 8)
Online:
I am not saying that Socom III is one of the best, but it is “The Best” online game for the PS2 that was ever created. The Zipper Interactive team really worked hard on putting out new features online for this game. One feature that I like and many gamers will agree with me on is the number of players you can have on each server. With Socom III, you can now have 32 players online playing simultaneously one server. That’s right 32 that’s way more than Socom II (16 players max). Also they have greatly expanded the maps this time which was really nice to have (great for sniping which I love  ) there are also many vehicles available online land and sea. Also there are Clan Ladder battles (you know you want to be in a clan 8) ). There are also ranks according to wins/losses. Socom is truly a game which you will spend hours online.
Now who says Halo is still the best online game?
Overall:
Socom IS the best game available for the ps2 in terms of online so far, for those looking for an immerse single player campaign or the best online game around. This game IS a must have. Although I thought the campaign was incredibly easy (others find it hard so it depends on your level of gaming) this was by far the highlight of my ps2 games collection.

Hey, i'm halfway through my review of POP: Revelations. It'll be done by tommorow. The only question i could ask is, could we crop all the pics on this page as it gets a little tiresome scrolling across them all the time.

ok this game is preaty new and im feeling good about reviews so lets go again. another spetacular game by take two has hit market shelves but this time its in a new way. conflict global terror is a sequel too conflict desert storm 1 and 2 and part of a collection with conflict viatnam. here is how it all works out for
content 9/10 basicaly because there is alot for the game. was worked out well and took time and thought to get it this far. well lets start from the bottom up the menu was good easy to get around and some feuters thrown in here and there along with some hidden secrets within it. the characters were worked out even more based on past games of desert storm. if you played all the games leading to this one you will know alot about each character and know what is going on with them. alot of talk about each one and each character is well known through out the game. suprise happening to one of the characters and if you played the games from past it is a big one otherwise they were all ok. technical things like having AI in enemies and stuff not walking through walls and actuely look realistic motions were all god. people dont just fall when shot they actuely try to keep moving and still shoot, alot of them scream at you, others hide and surround you, its not just one guy at a time coming its 20 or 30 and they just keep coming. is realistic and alot of fun trying to survive. things seem to be set up like real life and was reseaerched alot of effort put into trying to get it there. the story mode is great. its long, suprising twists, exciting, fun, and keeps you interested all in one game. i give it a 9 for being all great stuff and this truly is a game to be noticed.
graphics 8/10 good work with it. graphics look great not only on the main characters but everything surrounding them. trees were trees no flat at sides, enemys looked real, you leave footprints in snow or desert which then fade in wind. the only thing to really improve on would be explosins some looked good others were ok. but one thing i really liked was in dark rooms the gun fire would light up the area like real life and fire lit up parceal room which alot of games lack of. we all know the videos we see for ps3 and how real they look well that almost how the movies or side clips look in this game truly amazing. in all it was well put into and all came out well giving it a 8.
audio 10/10 it was amazing especially on surround sound. if you dont have surround sound your missing what you always miss but still get great effects. gun fires varied on the gun loud silent heavy. explosins really gave that boom and made you want to do it again. enemies scream at you in thier own language. ou squad is yelling orders, calling for backup, yelling for help moaning, all of it. gunfights sound great gunshots come from all around, people yelling, helicopter flying by, tanks rolling through, bombs exploding, all come in differnt directions making it seem as real as you can get on a ps2. really with how much they put in this game and all the effort it took really make you proud to have the game and how much fun you have playing it. the menu music was ok well good goes well with the type of game. in all this game was great with sound and it deserves a 10/10.
gameplay would be 9/10 great again. the controls fit you hands and move smoothly with the game. you need to be fast and do things right giving you the need for good controls. you fire while moving, depending on gun cant be good, crouch crawl easy to get to and out of. jump into any viecle you find almost and that fits good with the controls nice and simple. you have the skill to move you squad in many ways either by giving comands from one person or moving one by one or two by two or whatever you need. you get put in difficult situations and need to think through times, figuring if you can make it places with low ammo where a ammo station is located what to do to get through. the system some how either has good AI for once or the game is made well to look like it, because enemys surround you and hiding out dont help because soon they surround you and move in trapping you, but one bad thing with AI is some of the people on the squad like one you get later in the game, she just cant be left alone to fight peole and needs someone else around but in the right places it worked out fine, just fixing that would make the game at its best. sniping is well worked out easy to do, along with the rest of aiming. the only problem would be some guys cant shoot at times, meaning you aim at the person and fire but cant hit him but it works it out and your done. all in all the gameplay was great.
lasting appeal would be 7/10 because it ws great to play and fun but thos of us without online wouldnt probably want to play the whole campaign again after you already know whats going on. it does do things when you beat it though to make you do it again but most will just walk away. but when first playing it right from the start you are in hard situations and already want to see what will happen in the story. things that happen here and there make you suprised and willing to fight through and find out whats going on. alot of question you get in your head make you want to keep going like what was that who is doing it what happened to him whos he. then things get answered and bring up more and then suprises get thrown. you definatly cant pick up the game play one or two levels and never play it again you will need to keep going, not a force but a will.
if this was a continues game that goes on for ever it would get a ten but since it stops likes all games it gets a 7 because people wouldnt play again unless they had a online or like split sceen in which it would get atleat a 9.
overall i give a 8/10 or 9/10 mainly it was such a great game, everything took alot of effort, and alot was improved from the past games. this is a game that deserves alot more than it gets and glad it has come this far, 4 total games in the collection. i really hope they continue the game even further especially with the ps3.
game is about a squad that is having trouble in the near future with global terror. your squad is our last hope to stop this massive problem and fight for their lives.
NOTE some people have announced that they changed the names for PAL games as global storm not gloabal terror but for the rest you should know it as global terror like the US.

this is a great game and thought it could use a review
content i give a 7/10. it is a car game and you dont expect a story mode or anything but EA decided to through one in kinda. it was like a fast and the furiues however you spell it story. the was one charecter that was like your boss and you had a freind but all they do is talk to you so charecters were not really a part in the game but kinda needed. menu was good had things you can do and set up almost perfectly to get around to things and went smoothly. alot of this was improved on compared to the first one. this game was totaly worth the purchase and would do it again for the next sequel.
graphics i give 8/10. the graphics on the car you build and opponets were amazing but when it came to things you drive by and see around like city cars looked fake and you can tell. animations again were amazing on the cars. burning out flames out of the headers crashes all that looked great, especially the little clip you get when pulling up to a race. the models for cars like my car the civic or mustang looked almost exact like real ones almost cant tell, then you through on body kits paint spoilers etc and looks like a car you want to drive down the street amazing. the special effects they through in here and the give the game the mood of wow let me see that again or wo that looked amzing and realy, they did a great job with it. they did alot to bring the best and i hope to see them make that little improvement for the next one in the series.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/nfsu2.jpg
audio 9/10 just wow how good it was. the cars sounded like cars burnouts sounded like burnouts crashes were crashes etc.. i was suprised when i went through each of my cars hearing how the muscle cars had that deep powerful sound and my raceing cars were like racing cars. and doing differnt things to your car makes it sound differnt one of my favorites was the compressed air shifting that gave that ding sound when you shift it was cool. the music well they did a great mix of rap and metal. had some of my favorites in this soundtrack and they go along well with the gameplay and menus, just like one or two songs i would want to get rid of. the voices were great especially in this game, your freind at the garage and the person getting you started both are a great touch to the game. they come in at the right time and leave at the right time. i liked how they explained what each part does if you put it in so you learn a little about cars. in all they did a great job with it and keep it up.
gameplay i give 8/10 they did a great job makeing the controls fit your hand. it was easy makeing the switch from gas to brake and shift if you chose and all that. it was all set up to fit you and if you dont like it you can always switch to your liking. the only problem i had with the gameplay was the turning on some levels, you had to brake really soon and almost come to a stop to get around it. the rain could of been more unpredictible but instead it comes on the same lap of every race. there is plenty you can do for gameplay chose a type of race, build up the car, or just travel the huge city they gave you. they did a good job with this part as well.
lasting appeal 10/10 i just picked this game up again the other day and still playing it now. its mainly because of all the things you can do, races, mag covers, dvd covers, make a better car all that and alot of people will have no problem picking it up again long after they beat it. you are willing to continue because something new is always at the other side, winning races gets money so you can upgrade you car and thats alot of fun in this game, winning unlocks new city parts, new sponsors, new races, new parts, all that stuff its just so much to see what will happen next what can i do next. they did a awsome job with this and gladly because it keeps you occupied for hours and you dont know it. cant wait to play the next one.
overall i give it a 8/10 mainly because of all the great things it broght to the table and gets you going. but its great game for cars and all that. gameplay was great in alot of ways. grphics can improve a little like the surroundings and we have ps3 coming. audio was one of the best ive heard in a while. lasting appeal lasts long after game completion. and filled with content gives this game a 8/10 for little improvement.

no offence, I never seem to understand the system, release date, publisher, info on online aspect. etc...

Daxter Reveiw
By DOGG
Introduction:
Ever wonder what happend to Daxter in between the 2 years of Jak and Daxter and Jak II? Now you can play the events that lead up to the rescue of Jak in Jak II.
A great mix of platforming and arcade-style mini-games, with some Matrix and Lord of the Rings spoofs, plus a little Finding Nemo style scene.
Are you ready to fight some bugs and save Jak?
Gameplay: 95/100
The gameplay is very immersive. The developers at Ready at Dawn have gotten a new control scheme, but it still stays similar to the Jak controls on the PS2. The only reason this is getting a 95 and not a 100 is because your thumb will hurt after awhile of using the analoge stick. A very fun feature is Daxter's Dreams. In the first, it is a button-mashing fight that is a spoof of the Matrix Reloaded where Neo must fight the hundreds of Agents. It's very fun.
Graphics: 100/100
Beautiful. Just beautiful. The enviroments, the character models, the veichles. Everything in the game looks so close to the Jak games that it's unbeleivable. All the characters are extremely well done, each with some unique looks to them. The enviroments in the game are stunning. You won't beleive your eyes when you have to exterminate the bugs in the flowers in the valley. Everything down to the water looks great. The graphics are top notch.
Value: 95/100
The story is just awesome. It stays so true to the Jak series. It still has its very funny moments, because as fans of the series know, Daxter is pretty funny. The story is also failry long, with plenty of mini games and Precurser Orbs to collect, and also upgrades. Still, there are cheats to buy!(Like Jak II and 3) Along with the main story, there is Ad Hoc multiplayer. It's good, but nothing stellar or ground breaking.
Sound: 100/100
Wow. Just wow. The music and voice acting are just insane. I advise you use the headphones for these, because the PSP can be quiet(to me atleast), and it's hard to hear sometimes. The music is great, so similar to the Jak franchise. It always fits the mood of the area you're in. The voice acting is amazing, as usual for Jak games. All the characters have unique voices, down to the very last citizen. I just can't describe how great the sound is.
Overall: 98/100
Ground breaking Sound, Graphics, and Story fill this game. I could yabber on all day about how awesome this game is. At first, I thought it wouldn't be good. When I picked it up yesterday, I thought myself crazy to think that. Anyone will love this. Everything in it. Down to the Ad Hoc. I highly reccomend this to PSP owners.
It's one of the two best(Syphon Filter Dark Mirror) PSP games out there.
Overall: 98%
a bit short, but pretty good overall. just try to sound professional next time.

Platform: SONY PlayStation2
Format: DVD
Developer: Namco
Game: Fighting-Strategy game
Release date: Nov 23 2005 JAP, Oct 25 2005 USA, 18 Nov 2005 EUROPE
Gamer Age: Rated "12" by Cero, Rated "T" by ESRB, Rated "+12" by PEGI
INTRODUCTION:
SoulCaliburIII tells the story of a quest. A quest in search of freedom and peace.
The Soul Edge, a weapon created for dark and evil purposes, has the power to call his new wielder, possesing and transforming his owner into a dark and cold creature.
The creature created was Nightmare, a cruel monster destined to bring the world into a dark and evil place...
However a new weapon was created, the Soul Calibur.
This sacred sword had enough powers to stop the evil powers of the Soul Edge and his holder, Nightmare...
GAMEPLAY:
SoulCaliburIII was made by Namco, who also worked on the Tekken saga. SCIII is a must have title for the ones unfamiliar with the Soul saga, as well as for the saga veterans.
SCIII has many different modes including Tales of Souls, Chronicles of the Sword, World Tournament, Soul Arena, Quick Play, Missions, Museum, Versus, Shop, and the new Create your Character.
Tales of Souls tells the story of every character. Depending on the players actions in and out of the battle, the story will change according to you decisions.
Chronicles of the Sword is a new adition to the game modes in SCIII. With a wise mix between Age of Empires and a Beat em Up gameplay, this is the most entertaining mode in SCIII. As the player earns experience and grows stronger, new items can be unlocked to buy in the 3 different shops.
The World Tournament mode is another addictive game mode where the player can test his skills in a deathmatch against the CPU or another player. Great prices await for the winer of the tournament.
Soul Arena, Quick Play, Missions and Versus are minigames where the player can choose different missions, like killing a collosus or bouncing players around the battle field. In the Quick Play or Versus modes, the player play against a friend or the CPU and test his skills with his own character.
Also the biggest adition to SCIII is the possibility to make your own character, selecting gender, fighting style, weapons and clothing.
Many of the accesories, armors and weapons can be bought through the store.
In the new shop, the player can choose from 3 different shops: the armory, the weapon shop, and the item shop.
To buy items you need a certain amount o money, which can be earned through Tales of Souls or Chronicles of the Sword.
SCIII also features a new control system. The addition of a new blocking system as well as the new weapon effects, brought up the chalenge again, even to the SC saga veterans.
New combos have been added, as well as a remastered righ analogue control.
Once the control system is completely mastered, the player will be able to hold impressive action scenes against another advanced player.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10
PRESENTATION:
SCIII is so far, the best looking game. SCIII features the 50/60 Hz modes, as well as a THX digital certificate. It also has an inside sofware that can be modified. This software is a motion blur suppresser, creating a feel of fluid animations and graphics.
The character modeling is simply amazing, as well as the scenario and background. In characters, the animations are really well programed. These look fluid and with the character moving around, the clothes, hair, sword, and any part of the character moves as well.
Neat, clean and detailed graphics as well as a very good graphic render and some eye catching visual effects and animations make this game the most espectacula PS2 game up to date.
http://www.gamepro.com/sony/ps2/games/previews/images/46535-1-2.jpg
PRESENTATION: 10/10
SOUND:
SCIII has a very good SoundTrack as well as some nice sound effects like slashes, voices, ambiental effects, explosions, etc.
The SoundTrack fits the game perfectly, bringing the player to a medieval dark age where conflicts, war and fear are the main concerns.
http://www.altpop.com/stc/pics-large/soulcal3ost.jpg
SOUND: 9/10
ONLINE:
SCIII has no online enabled mode. The lack of online in this game as well as in Tekken 5, pull down the overall rating.
ONLINE: 0/10
OVERALL:
SCIII is a must have for any Beat em Up fan that liked the Soul saga or the Tekken saga.
Having an attractive presentation, an inmersive SoundTrack, and the adition of so many game modes, dont let this game fly away and get SCIII.

How long will it last on my game shelf?
You will love this game. It does not bring anything new to the Fighting genere, but it is definitely one of the best choices available, as well as Tekken 5 or DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi. The posibility to make your own character almost from scratch will make this game one of your favourites.

Star Wars Battlefront II

Platform: SONY PlayStation2, Microsoft XBOX, PC, PSP
Format: DVD, UMD, CD
Developer: Lucas Arts & Pandemic Studios
Game: Action-First Person Shooter game
Release date: 26 JAN 2006 JAP, 31 OCT 2005 USA, 2 NOV 2005 EUROPE
Gamer Age: Rated "12" by Cero, Rated "T" by ESRB, Rated "+12" by PEGI
INTRODUCTION:
Star Wars Battlefront II is the continuation of the best selling SW game ever: SW Battlefront.
SWB and SWBII success was possible due to the participation of Pandemic Studios, who worked on "Mercenaries", an Action game filled with explosions, gadgets and vehicles.
SWBII as well as "Mercenaries", is a fully loaded Action Game. Huge land and space battles, with game modes as CTF, Deathmatch or Assault. It features battle scenes from "Episode 1-6",
SWBII is a must have title because of its addictive Online enabled game, comparable to the one in "Socom III".
GAMEPLAY:
SWBII features new aditions to gameplay, battlefields and units as well as some new, and very addictive Game modes.
Game modes
Training, Rise of the Empire, Galactic Conquest, Quick Play, Multiplayer, and Split Screen.
The new training mode was done for the new comers to the Battlefront saga, as the first game included no training or practice mode. The basics of the game such as controls and how to capture bases are explained in deep here.
In Rise of the Empire, the SW story is told from the view point of one of the Clones in the 501st Legion from the Clone army. As the player goes through many of the battles fought byt the 501st legion, the Clone soldier tells the story of his partners and his feelings and confessions.
Galactic Conquest (one of the new Game modes added), is a strategy based game. Starships can be set in different conquered planets by paying a certain amount of money.
Starships can be moved one block every turn, as well as the enemy forces. Once an enemy ship enters in one of our planets, the battle takes place in the planet. However, if both enemy ships collide in space, a huge space war will take place.
Also, items can be bought from the store from the money earned in battles. Items like "extra reinforcements", "bacta tanks" or "heavy armor" are very useful in the battlefield.
Ant the best of the whole SWBII: its online mode.
SWBII features one of the most adictive game modes in PlayStation 2 yet (apart from "Socom III") The game modes available are:
Conquest, CTF and Assault.
While Conquest features the same gameplay as the first SWB, as well as the CTF mode, the new and most addictive one is the Assault one.
Huge battles can be fought on space, or inside the battleships. CTF and Assault are available on space battles.
New space ships can be used now, such as the "Y Wing", "X Wing", and "Z Wing".
Battlefields
SWBII includes new Battlefields or scenarios, such as Utapau, Mustafar and Coruscant. Also, some of the older scenarios have been remade, and now, some of them show big improvements.
Units
The new Hero Mode added in SWBII as well as some other units, make the Battlefron saga feel fresh again.
Once a certain amount of points are scored, the player is asked if he wants to play as a Jedi.
http://media.spelfeber.se/2005/maytheforcebewithyadude.jpg
Jedis are definitely worth a try: they have force skills, super speed, and a lightsaber.
However, Jedis have no life bar. Instead they have a time bar, wich can only be fed through killing or scoring points. Once the time bar reaches the end, the Jedi Knight will dissapear, leaving the player choose another unit again.
http://grbeta.bolt.com/images/games/ps2/star_wars_battlefront_2/star_wars_battlefront_2_002.jpg
And finally, when scoring or killing under certain conditions, the player is awarded with a medal.
After collecting enough meddals and kills, the player is promoted to a higher rank, and he is given the chance to give orders to a certain amount of units.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10
PRESENTATION:
SWBII has definitely a powerful engine. It allows the console to pump a lot of spaceships, units, vehicles and special effects at the same times with no slow downs.
http://eur.i1.yimg.com/eur.yimg.com/xp/justgamers_news/20051007/13/1089870482.jpg
The most noticeable graphic quality is on the space battles.
Lots of space ships, as well as enormous battle ships can be seen at the same time ingame with no slow down.
Special effects look very nice, like explosions, plasma beams or even ambiental effects.
http://i.boomtown.net/pics/9/1/3/75319/292x219.jpg
The only bad thing about the engine is the model resolution. The model resolution had to be cut off a bit, due to technical specifications on some consoles to ensure that the engine worked fluid.
PRESENTATION: 8/10
SOUND:
Following the SoundTrack left from the Star Wars movie saga, SWBII SoundTrack has similar music. Including the famous "Imperial March" or "A new Hope" as well as some new Tracks, the SWBII SounTrack gives a perfect ambience to land and space battles.
SOUND: 9/10
ONLINE:
SWBII includes one of the most adictive Online Enabled Game mode in PlayStation 2.
With Conquest, CTF and Assault game modes on land and space, this title is a must have for huge battles and Star Wars fan.
Playing with 32 people had never been so fun before!
ONLINE: 10/10
OVERALL:
Star Wars Battlefront II is definitely a must have title for any Online game lover, or any Star Wars fan, no matter what anyone said.
It is definitely worth a try, or a rent at BlockBuster.
With the new aditions like units, game modes, and space battles, this is a title that you will keep on your shelf for a long while.
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
Gameplay:
SWBII possibly has one of the most adictive gameplays in the Action-FPS genere. And with the new ads to SWBII you have no excuse to buy the network adapter or rent this game on BlockBuster.
Gameplay: 9/10
Presentation:
Even if SWBII was a bit less detailed in some consoles, it is amazing what they did with the graphic engine and the lots of space ships and units on screen at the same time, with no slow down.
Presentation: 9/10
Sound:
With the scheme left from Star Wars movie saga, SWBII has nothing to envy from any other SoundTrack.
Sound: 10/10
Online:
Probably the second best online game on PS2 out. Adictive, and overall, very fun!
Online: 10/10

Thanks thorzilla, thanks for giving us. This makes live a lot easier!
you forgot to put graphics in the PS3 review rating system! Please update so this can be done more easy for everyone.
EDIT: And please everyone indeed use the right size of images because one in the Daxter review is way to big!
BTW we still need to talk about the review system, i mean I can't give King Kong a 0 for not having a Online thing. We should just do the online rating in the Gameplay rating.

The catch is that presentation icludes graphics. Anyways, let me have a small talk with firefox to see what we do with it OK? In the mean while, use whatever system you feel more comfortable with.
And the review system is OK. The only thing is that a game is not online enabled, dont count the online game mode in the final grade. Worked fine with SCIII review.

Metal Gear solid two is the first part of the series on the ps2 but the follow up of Metal Gear solid on ps1.
content 10 out of 10 you dont see this from me often with reviews but this game was just too good with it. the story was awsome interesting and made the game fun to keep going. you never know what will happen or who will show up. it starts out confusing but once you are into it the game a little you know whats going on. alot of the charecters were worked out really well meaning you got to know them before the die disappear or whatever. the menu was good and they were a little creative with it makeing backgrounds pushing differnt buttons and little things like that. though this game doesnt really have any dems or anything in it it does have a little specaial things that come up as you get along the game. everything is good and this game is totally worth playing especially since this game the first one the third one and the upcoming one all have a connection with one big story. pay close attention.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/mgs2_thumb023.jpghttp://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/mgs2_thumb022.jpg
graphics 8 out of ten. yes this was the game that pushed the ps2 for the first time but since then the ps2 has been pushed further with games like metal gear solid 3. the charecters are realistic with shadows and movement and all that but there are side things in the enviroment that could be improved. some 2d things here and there. special effects are awsome bombs explode and look like it gun shots look good but needs a better flash out of the barrel. the graphics look really awsome in the cut scenes dont notice a glitch yet in the cut scenes and just great. some of the bosses could be improved because there were the ones that were in for like one scene so they didnt look so good. in all it looks great but can be improved and was really improved with metal gear solid 3.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/mgs2_thumb004.jpg
audio 8 out of 10 mainly because gunshots are gunshots and when your near a person you can here them talking and walking and all that. the only problem was they really didnt have gun battles when they all were shooting at you like a war zone. the beeping of low health or low air gets really annoying especially when you cant get health at the time or whatever so you have to deal with the noise or turn it down until you get health. the sirens of when you get caught sound preaty good but mabe choose something else. i really dont pay attention to the music if there is any but i think that means it goes well with the game then. the cut scenes have the best audio with back noises talking and all that. overall they did a good job but can improve with audio in the next game.
gameplay 9 out of 10 awsome game play you are in complete control of what happens and doesnt. the only problem i have is the camera view that cant be adjusted with a joystick like other games. and after playing metal gear 3 you dont have as much you can do but i am pretending like i havent played that game so i can rate this one fairly. you have many things you can do to get around the enemy without setting off a alarm or something. there are minor glitches in the game but none that are major and mess you up. they added many things like sneak up behind enemys and make them freeze drop there guns and put up there hands then you can take there dog tags. many things they added like that are what gave it a good grade in the game. the controls are doing everything are compfortable for anyone who plays the game. it is good and just add some new thing in the next game and it will be awsome.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/mgs2_thumb014.jpg
lasting appeal 7 out of 10 mainly because its a long game and once you know what happens the interest goes away and you might not play it again. it also isnt online so there really wouldnt be another reason to pick it up again unless your like me and forget the story and you need to know it. to me this game will probably collect dust if you lose interest in games you beat and dont play games unless they are online. the thing that kep the game high up it grade for this category is the will to keep playing. the story is so interesting and gameplay is so addicting that you dont want to stop playing until you beat it. its one of those games you cant wait to get home or wake or stay up all night to play. this is a great game to play and you want to play it to the end but take your time because you might not want to pick it up again for a long time.
overall i give it a 8 out 0f 10 because with how the playstation is improving along with how the ps3 is looking there are alot of things to improve on. they can add alot in what to do graphics accesories gameplay all sorts of things. i really think this game is a success and will just keep getting better as it goes. great game should play and should be a collecter soon. hope to see alot more of metal gear just because of what they brought to us all so far.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/mgs2_0223_thumb033.jpg
ive fixed my reviews by adding the breifing about each game. i hope thats following the format now. also more reviews coming after someone posts after this.
also can you guys please fix the pics in your reviews having a wider screen is kinda annoying. try the size i use, its at the most 200 by 200. they are smal but big enough.
yep, please give all your images a decent size.
Maybe I will be reviewing the Godfather this week, if I can get it this week ofcourse.

Format: DVD,CD
Developer: EA

Gamer Age: E, for everyone, ESRB
players: 1-2 offline, 6 online
Burnout revenge is the latest part of the burnout series. this game puts you in your car racing others in a all or nothing type race. blow up anything in your way!
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/927225_20050811_thumb001.jpg
graphics 9 out of 10 because truly amazing graphics all around, but when they show the cars some points are 2d and other things look that way but not much. the explosins took alot of work and amzing having peices fly through the air car looks like what would really happen. the sparks fly through the air when glide along things and cars. all great work but room to improve, best so far.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/927224_20050714_thumb004.jpg
content 7 out of ten because the way this category was subscibed was the charecters and stuff and well its a car game. i give it a seven because of the feuters it has trailers and demo of NFL street. and how the game is just made throughout. the sub movies could be more than just a trophy but great graphics in them and good hard work with them. and this game is totaly worth it.
audio 8 out of ten didnt really fall for the music in the menus and when your racing but the sound effects of crashes and sub movies kept the game alive in this category. great effects to make a boom and scratch and perfect music when you receive a new car but only part with the music. the cars could sound more tuff like a rare in the strong cars and less of a soft tone. and let them rev up or something. the voice work was ok when your listening to it but could use more acting or something it gets boreing listening. overall great.
gameplay 9 out of 10 really good. the only problem i have is turning, im used to gran turismo or need for speed where it turns fast this one is kinda slow on straight aways meaning you push as hard as you can trying to avaid a wall but its too late. just needs some getting used too. the way everything passes you faster as you go faster really makes the game fun it really seems as though you are going 200 miles a hour or whatever you racing. the boost is preaty cool but you like always need to use it throughout or you lose. and you cant really blow away the rest in single player because you get far but once you run out of boost they are right there. the computer is really fun to play against hard but not too hard just enough to make it fun. all the controls are compfort fitting and some of the best.
lasting appeal 8 out of 10 mainly because once you beat it you might take a while to do it all over again or you can come back for online. you get that feeling of well i beat it already why do it again. but while you play it you get the urge to keep playing for hours because its really addicting. you do sometimes want to play a part over and over just to beat a record or something but once you get tired of it your tired of it. i think many will enjoy blowing up highways or seeing how many cars they can blow up in a reck all that great stuff. there are also suprises throughout the game like world tours and such and a certain suprise if you have a saved madden game on the same memory card. one thing that would make you come back for more is it is online so you will always play for more.
overall 8 out of ten mainly because of how fun the game was but there is many imrovements that can be made for next time. just to make it better there are minor glitches but just things like music played when it wasnt supposed too or went through a wall or something.

Well since the release of the great PSP, we have all been waiting for that one great game, I think it has arrived. I am lucky and grateful to have the opportunity to review the game Pursuit Force.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/926523_20060201_screen001.jpg
This game sets you right in the seat of a cop stopping hard core criminals that will do anything it takes to get what they want. Pursuit Force is about one fearless guy that was assigned to an elite team of police in a city called Capital City, to stop gangs and other criminals and to bring the city back to a state of peace at any costs. You start off with selecting your mission and then a quick fun briefing of the gang related problem. You then take this place and start off on your mission. As you get along you can drive everything from police cars, bikes, helicopters, and even the ordinary car driving next to you. Yes, that’s right you’re capable of jumping from your car to the next, taking any car you see and want. You can jump to the enemy’s car pull out your gun and take over the car, or just aim out your window and shoot him from yours. Like I said already at all costs must you bring down these gangs. This game is very hard to put down it has a lot of action, intense times, and is just plain fun. You would never think a handheld game would be so great, but once again Sony Computer Entertainment has done it again and brought another great games to the table.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/926523_20060215_screen005.jpg
The missions are original and have dynamic features about them. For one you’re the cop taking down the gangs this time. Your in an intense high speed car chases as they shoot at you and form strategy to take you down. They also can jump on your car so you really need to be careful. All this driving, hopping on other cars, shooting, avoiding enemies, demolishing boats and cars all sounds hard to do on a PSP but no its all well fitted to the PSP and is a breeze to pull off anything you need to or want to do. The difficulty is also very well set it's not way too hard and not way too easy making the game fun for your liking and easy to play over and over again.
The audio is set up great, gunfire and fire fights, helicopters flying over, cops whizzing by, and even the talking between enemy and cops all sound great. The graphics are truly unbelievable, they look like it's right on par PS2 and sometimes I forgot that this is a handheld game. Little details were thrown in to give that great feeling. The voice were just fun for some kids and mature enough to please both kids and adults, like the briefing is my favorite voice actor funny but still gets the tough guy feeling. After all these little touches here and there Sony has brought a great game to the table. Surely after playing this game you will remember and be proud of the whole reason you bought the PSP in the first place. A game truly has not brought so much to the table of a handheld. Sony Computer Entertainment are doing a great job of surprising us with every game they make. So get ready for the high speed thrill of your life and check this game out, its worth the while.
Graphics 8/10 good quality but not the best a psp can go. looks good in areas and bad in others. still gets the touch of i cant beleiave im playing this in my hand feeling.
audio 7/10 its alright but things could sound a bit better.
gameplay 10/10 for all the controls they had to work with were set to a very compfortable liking. it wasnt hard to figure things out and once you did you were doing whatever you wanted with no problem.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g11/psgamer/926523_20060210_screen005.jpg
lasting apeal 7/10 i was getting into it and after a while it seems repetiitive, and start to get boring. you can keep playing but sometimes you just need to take a break to do so.
overall 8/10 its one of the first great psp games but the series along with other games still have a way to go. its the beginning of the psp and like all systems theese games will get better.

Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories

http://www.operationgta.com/images/gtalcsartwork/logo.jpg
Platform: SONY PlayStation Portable
Format: UMD
Developer: RockStar North
Game: Action-Adventure game
Save Size: 320k
Release date: NA JAP, 24 OCT 2005 USA, 18 2 DEC 2005 EUROPE
Gamer Age: NA Cero, Rated "M" by ESRB, Rated "+18" by PEGI
INTRODUCTION:
Set 3 years before GTAIII, LCS tells the story of an italian mafia man named "Toni Ciprianni".
Through many works from different people and mafias, Toni starts to earn a name on the streets.
An adventure filled with action, shootings, car chases and street grudges await in LCS. This game is perfectly placed as one of the best titles on PSP, sharing the place with Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and Daxter.
GAMEPLAY:
LCS is an extended version of GTAIII with new story, cars and weapons.
As usual in the GTA saga, freedom is the biggest fun factor in the game.
Steal vehicles, run around 3 enormous cities, cause chaos, sell vehicles, or do some missions for the Dons.
Wi-fi multiplayer on LCS is the best one on the GTA saga yet.
And the best of LCS is that you can spend hours driving, shooting or making side missions, and never get tired of it!
GAMEPLAY: 10/10
PRESENTATION:
LCS has one of the best graphic engine in the PSP yet.
It you climb up to the top of a mountain and have a look at the field, you will see all the city and all the buildings
http://www.pspplayer.com/images/gta_screenshots/gta10.jpg
Models seem very detailed, very clean and well done. This allows the game to do zoom ins and yet, the game will look very good.
http://www.fileshack.com/finclude/images/090905pspgta5.jpg
Animations look fluid and the special effects are great as well. Explosions look nice and many car parts fly away once it explodes. Car parts like wheels, doors or spoilers.
One only catch is the motion blur that was needed to use in the game so the animations would look smooth. Sometimes, motion blur makes the game look too shaky when there are too many things happening really fast on the screen.
PRESENTATION: 9.5/10
SOUND:
As usual in the GTA saga, the SoundTrack is gathered depending on the setting.
We heard a 80s music style in Vice City, and in SA, we had a Hip Hop-Gangsta Rap music.
Rock, hip hop, country, and pop are only some of the styles we can find in LCS.
However, if none of the radio stations catches our attention, RockStar developed a PC utility that converts MP3 to the music files used in LCS. Find more information on the official GTA LCS website.
SOUND: 10/10
MULTIPLAYER:
GTA LCS features the best multiplayer mode in the whole GTA saga.
Having more than 30 characters to choose from+some more unlockable, the 7 game modes available, and 3 cities to play in, the multiplayer mode is one of the most entertaining one in PSP yet.
The game modes in LCS are:
Liberty City Surviror, Street Rage, Protection Racket, Get Stretch, Tanks for the Memories, the Hit List, and the Wedding List.
In LC Survivor, all the players in game try to kill each other. This is the best multiplayer mode in LCS.
Street Rage are street races, where the player chooses wich car to use, and each player tries to reach the finish line through any methods available!
Protection Racket is a game mode where the mafias have to protect their cars from the other gangs.
In Get Stretch, the game objective is to steal the Stretch Limousine while the other players protect it from being taken away.
In Tanks for the Memories, one player has to pick the Tank while other players make a grudge against it in a frenetic rocket launcher riot!
The Hit List, a game mode where a player is selected and marked as objective. Players have to do whatever it takes to kill the marked player before another does.
And finally, in the wedding list, a car is selected randomly. The players objective is to take that car to a garage. Money is awarded after each delivered car. Wins the one with most money at the end of the game.
MULTIPLAYER: 9/10
OVERALL:
Many people think that GTA LCS is the worst game of the saga. This opinion is based thinking in SA, where you could swim, drive more vehicles, buy more clothes, and having a bigger game scenario.
However, if we compare LCS to GTAIII, we will see a drastic improvement in gameplay, graphics and sound.
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
Gameplay:
Freedom is the word that defines the GTA saga. As another member of the saga, LCS follows the road made since GTAIII and brings another fresh title for our consoles. Definitely worth its 40DL.
Gameplay: 10/10
Presentation:
Good models, excelent graphic engine, and fluid animations make this game one of the best looking games on PSP. However, some glitches, pixeled borders and excessive motion blur are the catches of the almost perfect graphic engine.
Presentation: 8/10
Sound:
With the great SoundTrack+customizeable tracks, the Sound grade deserves a round 10 for all the time RockStar spent making the BSO and the custom tracks.
Sound: 10/10
Multiplayer:
Fun and adictive Multiplayer make this game worth its money. Definitely worth a try. Try playing it with more than 4 people! However some game modes are not as fun as others, but Liberty City Survivor definitely saves the score.
Multiplayer: 9/10
How long will it last on my game shelf?:
GTA LCS is definitely a must have title for PSP, due to its freedom, its multiplayer mode, and its long lasting story.
This game will keep you playing for months.
On Shelf: 10/10
Overall Score:
9.4

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

Format: DVD
Developer: RockStar North
Game: Action-Adventure game
Release date: 15 JUN 2005 JAP, 25 OCT 2004 USA, 22 OCT 2004 EUROPE
Gamer Age: Rated "18" by Cero, Rated "AO" by ESRB, Rated "+18" by PEGI
INTRODUCTION:
CJ (Carl Johnson) fled to Liberty City when his brother died in a shootout. His criminal life as a thief and car jacker in Liberty City was well known from some mafias who hired him.
However, one day CJ receives a call from Sweet, his brother:
"CJ, mom is dead..."
CJ decides to go back to Los Santos, to visit his family. However, problems had barely started for him...
GAMEPLAY:
In GTA SA, we have the deeper, most entertaining and adictive gameplay in any game ever done.
Some of the new aditions like the skill to swim, flying 3Km over the land and free jumping with a parachute, or the tons of minigames, make this game one of the best games ever made.
http://www.armchairempire.com/images/Reviews/pc/grand-theft-auto-san-andreas/grand-theft-auto-san-andreas-2.jpg
The story line is roughly 50 Hours of Gameplay, but finishing all the side missions to complete the game 100% takes about 150 Hours or even more.
Also the multiplayer and minigame modes will keep you hanged to the controller.
With the completely new customizable character, CJ can be a muscle bag or really thin and skinny. CJ can also buy new clothes and tatoos, giving a bigger feel of customization.
This game deserves the top grade in game play.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10
PRESENTATION:
A great engine used in San Andreas. The characters models looked really good. Looks like RockStar put some real effort on the engine.
Vehicles look very real also. The shine on cars is dynamic and shiny.
http://www.armchairempire.com/images/Reviews/Playstation2/gta-san-andreas/grand-theft-auto-san-andreas-2.jpg
Special effects look great. Explosions, nitrous oxide blur, shoots and climate effects for examample look pretty good.
I can barely find any Bug on the graphic engine. However, no graphic engine is perfect.
Sometimes when the player drove a bike and crashed into a wall, he would find himself on the other side, with no way out, forcing the reload or the reset of the game.
However, San Andreas had an excelent and pretty decent engine.
http://www.t3.co.uk/__data/assets/image/56334/gta_xbox_302.jpg
PRESENTATION: 10/10
SOUND:
San Andreas,(as well as Vice City) had a OST on sale in music stores.
There are two versions of the OST this time:
-A CD for every radio station in the game
http://www.gtagaming.com/images/news/SA_8cdboxset.jpg
-A CD gathering the best songs on the game+the Introduction DVD
http://www.vh1.com/shared/media/news/images/g/Grand_Theft_Auto/sq-san-andreas-soundtrack.jpg
San Andreas, as well as GTAIII, and GTAVC has a SoundTrack that fit the setting of the game.
The mix of some Hip-Hop, rock, and some techno stations are only a few in San Andreas.
As usual, the effect sounds is good. However, SA featured some improvements since Vice City like more powerful gun shot sound, more impressive explosion sound effect, and more dialogues.
But the excessive use of street language in San Andreas is one of the tedious factors.
SOUND: 9/10
MULTIPLAYER:
The multiplayer minigames in San Andreas, like rolling with your friend around San Andreas, playing Pool against him, or riding a bike while your partner shoots, are definitely better playing with a friend than alone.
The multiplayer, however, could have been much better. The camera was tricky, and shooting was hard sometimes. The use of the CAMERA CHANGE button was a complete mess, as well as triying to dive into the water.
The multiplayer is definitely worth a try.
MULTIPLAYER: 7/10
OVERALL:
San Andreas is a good game. It features a lot of gameplay, some great graphics, nice OST and sound, and a decent multiplayer. It could have been better in some places, but SA is a must have game.
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
Gameplay:
Extensive gameplay, tons of side stories, and amazing freedom give this game the higher gameplay grade availabe.
Gameplay: 10/10
Presentation:
Very good engine, models, menu, and landscape. Mixed, they created beauty natural ambient and nice street style.
Some glitches, but nothing important
Presentation: 10/10
Sound:
With a great OST and some excelent sound effects, this game deserved a 10. However, the excess of street language was excessive.
Sound: 9/10
Multiplayer:
Decent miltiplayer. Definitely worth a try. However, some features need to be pulished for the new GTA.
Multiplayer: 7/10
How long will it last on my game shelf?:
San Andreas, just like VC and GTAIII is worth its money for sure. You wont get tired of playing this game, as you can always do something different and have some hard laughs again.
On Shelf: 10/10
Overall Score:
9.0
SIDE COMMENT:
A hidden code was found by some Modder. The mod was a pornographic minigame called "Hot Coffee".
ESRB soon started an investigation when they found out about this mod. However, the modder claimed that the code was never a mod. Instead, the programmers had done that minigame. The "Hot Coffee" minigame was later decided not to be used, but it was never erased from the game code.
The "Hot Coffee" minigame could be downloaded from modding sites or could be ulocked through game shark.
RockStar, after all the bad attention from the media they were receiving, they decided to erase the "Hot Coffee" code from the GTA SA games.
However, old SA still have the code on it.

Yeah, LCS is...how can i explain you...Ok, i like the GTAIIIish style rather than the SA getto style.
I like hip-hop, i like the dark skinned culture and all that.
But that cant be compared to real mafias. Real italian families. Maybe i like them better as we are almost neighbors
Italy is very close from Ibiza, and we have a lot of italians here in summer, as well as english, french and deutsch people.

INTRODUCTION:
God of War is built around the ancient Greek mythology. It tells about a Spartan warrior called Kratos. By the will of the gods Kratos needs to stop Ares, the God of War, who is destroying Athens. The entire story is basically about that.
There is only one way for a mortal to defeat a god is to acquire the mythical Pandora's Box. Kratos is on his way to find the Pandora's Box.
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8028/godofwar2ri.jpg
GAMEPLAY:
Spectacular gameplay. In this game you take controll over everything that happens. Kratos has some 2 blades he uses in the game, you can use the blades to do a lot of different combats. In the game Kratos faces many bigger enemies. If you hit them enough, a button appears above the enemy. When you press the specific button, another one appears. After about 4 you beat the enemy. And like that there is a combat with the analog stick. And there is a combat where you have to keep pressing a button till the enemy is down. All those combats work amazing!
In the game Kratos will faces some good puzzles, ofcourse not too difficult. This is a game you want to go through really fast!
When getting further in the game, Kratos collects a lot of orbs. For instand by killing enemies. These orbs can be used to buy new combats, magic and weapons.
All your enemies are from the greek mythology like: cyclopes, gorgons, minotaurs.
Don't expect this game to be too difficult.
Only bad thing I spotted in the gameplay was that you can't move the camera. Which sometimes is a little disturbing.
PRESENTATION:
God of War has amazing graphics , I think the most beautifull graphics you can find nowadays on currentgen.
The game has some amazing CG videos! They look so hot! That's the example how nextgen graphics should be on the PS3.
The menu is great. The style fits with the style of the game. Everything works fine.
When you finished the game you get some kool new stuff like: The making of God of War, 10 God Levels. The god levels are great, a must to play. And a look at some deleted levels, and at the a thing that could be added in the next God of War.

SOUND:

The music used in this game is the best. It all fits with the greek style of this game.

Very, very good :D !
My wallet just poped out of my pocket
Only something to fix that i found in introduction:
INTRODUCTION:
God of War is built around the ancient Greek mythology. It tells about a Spartan warrior called Kratos. By the will of the gods Kratos needs to stop Ares, the God of War, who is destroying Athens. The intire story is basiclyabout that.
There is only one way for a mortal to defeat a god is to acquire the mythical Pandora's Box. Kratos is on his way to find the Pandora's Box.
As the PS2 chief reviewer i gotta start to pull my job

Itroduction:
Half-Life. A ground breaking amazing PC game from the late '90s. State of the art graphics and story. November 2004. Half-Life 2 is released. Looks like history repeats itself. With only two cut scenes, a slick story and some very nice graphics. Lets meet the Combine...
Gameplay:
Valve has crafted a game of FPS action and puzzles. From the start when you walk off the train to the end in the Citadel, you will be using your head and guns to fight your way through the Combine...and Ravenholm...
HL2 uses Havok physics, that in my opinion, are the best of the best. Just download Garrys Mod(www.garry.tv), and you'll know why. All the guns have there pros and cons, instead of being the same type. There is a huge weapon aresenal throughout the game. From .357s to RPGs to Bugbait. The game can get a little linear after running and gunning, but it doesn't last long. In every chapter, there's always a plot twist or a climax. Couting in four other games(Day of Defeat Source, Counter Strike Source, Half Life Source, and HL2: Deathmatch) of fun multiplayer... So my rating is....
10/10
Presentation:
The character models are amazing. All are modeled after real people, and they actually look real! The lighting effects are put into full force, even rivaling Doom 3's erie graphics. The settings are well chosen. From labs to City streets. So, with this, I give it a

Sound:
You'll be crazy to think the sound isn't cool. Every area has a different type of style of music. I don't know the composer(sorry). The voice acting is top of the line, using some hawt people(a model for Alyx :P)
The smaller sound effects like paint cans each have unique sounds, which are all realistic. You'll love i. No matter what.

Multiplayer:
Half-Life 2 has so many multuplayer options, plus multiplayer mods, it's not even funny. DoD:S, CSS, HL2:DM, Opposing Force, Garrys Mod, Dystopia, and much much more. Each is very unique in style, taking full advantage of the Source engine. I'm doing the unknown:

Gameplay:
The short review of the gameplay is, it is essentially a multi-player arcade FPS with little depth in the single player realm. The multi-player and the single-player portions of this game are two different animals.
Playing the campaign is fun, for the first couple missions. After you finish a couple missions you'll notice that it get repetitive and offers very little in the depth department. When you first play it, however, you will be dazzled by the ability to "hot-swap" who you are controller on the battlefield. This feature makes the campaign a lot more bareable. Your allies will all have a symbol over top of their heads corresponding to the role they play in the battle. Engineers will have a little wrench icon and snipers will have a crosshair. At any moment you can aim at the icon, press a button, and the camera will zip right over to the character you selected in a very cool animation that almost makes it seem like your possessing their soul :) . After you get over the excitement of doing that a few times, you'll be held down by the linear map setups and unoriginal mission design. Most mission are, defend ____ or take control of ____. So needless to say you might get a little bored of that. The game does offer you little bonuses for scoring head-shots and/or killing X amount of enemies without reloading. So that offers so replayability for the gamers who like besting their high-scores.
Finally, the AI. The enemies you face in this game will make you feel like the next Bobby Fisher. Enemies often run straight at you disregarding any type of cover that is around them.
Fortunately, this game does have something going for it. The multiplayer via Xbox Live is actually quite fun. If your familiar with the previous installments in the battlefield series you'll be familiar with the game modes. Basically it's capture the flag or Conquest. You can drive or pilot any vehicle on the map as well as be a passenger. The official servers have very minimal lag and your not forced to leave the server after the game. After each game every player gets a chance to vote on what map they want to play on next. It's a run and gun game, however, so if your looking for realism you wouln't find it here. 32 people online makes for a pretty massive online battle, but the maps are huge so it's not overwhelming.

Graphics/Presentation:
Nothing to spectacular here. Pretty much the same old stuff, nothing groundbreaking. The pop-up messages that appear when your doing good in single-player makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. If your expecting the sound quality that will make you feel good about spending $1000 on speakers, you should looking elsewhere. The sound quality doesn't make put game on a higher pedestal but at the same time, it doesn't bring it down either.

If your PC meets recommended requirements, you'll probably enjoy this title's PC counterpart rather then this watered-down console version. If not, it's probably worth what it is selling for at a used price in your local game store. I wouldn't name it a must-have title though.

The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker Review
By: Adam Solanky
http://i1.tinypic.com/s1p5hd.jpg
Game by: Nintendo
Genre: Fantasy Action Adventure
Rated: “E” for Everyone
Players: One Player
Zelda fans have put a lot of faith in Nintendo. We were outraged when Nintendo announced that Zelda would be a 3D game back in 1998. But that turned out to be the best game Nintendo has ever made. Zelda fans were even more upset when Nintendo announced that Link’s adventure on the GameCube would be Cel-Shaded. When The Windwaker came out, fans weren’t upset at all. Zelda and Link are back, and this time he brought some extra goodies…
Gameplay: The Zelda formula since Ocarina of Time really hasn’t changed. The only new feature is the timed attack. When your foe is about to strike, the A button will flash on the screen urging you to press it. When you do, link rolls behind the enemy and strikes him in the back. This Mechanic along with improved mechanics of the previous games makes the gameplay of Windwaker amazing. The buttons on the GameCube work really well on the GameCube, although using the Z button for items can be a hassle.
All the Enemies are well-made and fun to fight. Darknuts (which are huge Knights) are challenging but a thrill to fight. Another cool feature when you kill enemies is that you can pick up their weapon when they are dead. So say if the guy you were fighting had a stick. Once you kill him, he drops the stick on the ground, for you to pick up. You can’t go through doors with the weapon, but it’s still pretty nifty…
The boss battles are the best part of the game. You go many boss battles. Most of them are easy, but some of them at the end are challenging. Most of them follow the simple Zelda formula of finding an item in a dungeon, then using on the boss. This is not the case with some bosses though. This game has many other goodies, but I won’t spoil them for you! Overall: 9/10
http://i1.tinypic.com/s1p6wy.jpg
And you thought Michael Jackson was weird looking!
Presentation:The Windwaker has great presentation. Every single menu screen has tons of art and animation. When you press start, things in the background become faded and blend in with the menu. The packaging features the classic gold Zelda look, which really brings back the nostalgia of the good old N64 days.
The map is very well made. Since Link collects so many Sea Charts, all of them fit on his map. Nothing is ugly or misplaced. Everything looks fantastic and amazingly animated, along with great cutscenes. Nintendo has done a great job with this game presentation wise. Link’s hair flows in the direction that the wind is blowing, which I really think is an awesome feature. 10/10
Sound: The Zelda series has always had great sound that captured your ears. The Windwaker is no different. Each Island has their own mix of music. Hearing the guitar and drums of Dragon Roost Island really do make your ears happy. Every song that is in the Windwaker fits perfectly. All of the Windwaker songs you play sound great as well.
The only downside would be that Link only makes a few sounds, which can get really annoying after hearing the same yell 35 times. But when you fight bosses, each of your clangs and booms make different sounds, along with all the enemies. Aside from Link, everything sounds amazing. 9/10
http://i1.tinypic.com/s1p7di.jpg
Touche Ice Cube! The World really is Black and White!
Value: Like most Zelda games, you’ll have a heart 20+ hour quest. If you want to collect all the stuff, triple the amount I gave you above. This game has a meaty quest, but once you finish it, you won’t really play it ever again. You might load it up to show of to your friends or maybe play some Windwaker. But that’s about it. 7/10
Gameplay: 9
Presentation: 10
Sound: 9
Visuals: 10/10
Value: 7/10

Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter (GRAW)
By The Butcher
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/08/GRAdvanceWarfighter360.jpg
Genre: Tactical Shooter
System Game was Based on: Xbox 360
Published by: Ubisoft
Developed by: Ubisoft Paris (Campaign)/ Red Storm Entertainment (Multiplayer)
Players: 1-4 and 2-16 (co-op and system link)
Release date: March 7, 2006 (US for Xbox and 360)
ESRB rating: T for Teen
ESRB Content Rating: Blood, Language, Violence
Also available on: PS2, Xbox, PC
INTRODUCTION:
Ubisoft last generation started many franchises that ended up becoming some of the best games out at any give time. GRAW is the first attempt for Ubisoft into the seventh generation gaming era. GRAW is being us back to the Ghost Recon story of futuristic story of what ifs, that with Tom Clancy’s help are some of the most realistic out on the market to date. The story fellows Scott Mitchell and his squad of Ghosts trying to stop a coup led by a Mexican General trying to overthrow the elected government of Mexico during a meeting for NAJSA (North America Joint Security Agreement) with the Prime Minister of Canada and Presidents’ from USA and Mexico.
GAMEPLAY:
This version of Ghost Recon introduces a small little screen showing you what your fellow squad members and support units are seeing though their own eyes and what orders they are doing at any given time. With this taking place in the future many weapons that have not even been finished there development and testing phases as yet make up the Ghosts arsenal of weapons. Ubisoft making this more realistic on the fact that even the most elite soldiers would have trouble breaking the will of the rebels, has introduce support units to assist the Ghosts on mission. These support units range from mechanized infantry to UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) that will help you be giving you information on enemy positions to taking out of the stronger opponents that you will face during the game. One mistake that Ubisoft made was on the Night Vision goggles somehow work during the day PERFECTLY, which even non-militarily heads know is impossible to happen. 9.8/10
PRESENTATION:
The detail of the city, characters, and vehicles is simple amazing. Ubisoft did not take any shortcuts on the design of Mexico City by making a full city, which during the intermission sequences you get to see in all of its beauty.
http://image.jeuxvideo.com/images/x3/g/h/ghr3x3033.jpg
The major detail that was missed was that during this whole coup you see no civilians running from the combat that is taking place in the city but yet you can hear them in the background. The only other thing that seemed like it may need more work was the menu system used during the game, which at times can be a little confusing. 10/10
SOUND:
The sound like the graphics is very detailed down from the sound of guns to the engines of vehicles. Every gun has its own sound and with those gifted with good ears can soon learn what type of gun that someone is using. At times during the game you can hear the screams of people who are at the moment caught in the middle of a war zone that have seem to have feeling behind them. The soundtrack for this gaming is almost non-existed only being heard during the intermission sequences and even than it is only for a few of them. 9/10
ONLINE:
It is one of the most difficult things to find a game to join in, for the fact is that you would have to wait for games that have started already to finish. Than after that since most have the respawn turn off so you may ended getting a very quick experience to you learn a couple tricks for the game. 8/10
OVERALL:
Overall this is one of the best games out for any of the systems right now. Only lacking in the online, this can mainly be blamed on the players instead of the developers at Red Storm. 9.5/10
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
GAMEPLAY:
9.8/10 for it Ubisoft only messed up on the Night Vision goggles.
PRESENTATION:
10/10 makes up on the fact that civilians by having heavily detailed characters and city.
SOUND:
9/10 the only thing missing is a soundtrack that plays during the game.
ONLINE:
8/10 really just the fact that it is hard to find a game to join in on and that has the respawn turned on.
How long will it last on my game shelf?:
9.5/10 this will be one of the games that I will try to get all of the achievements for and revisited it from time to time.

Sonic has been in the game for as long as I can remember. He has been on almost every system known to man. His trademark speed and spiked hair have made him as famous as the fat plumber Mario. Sonic is back for an adventure on the GameCube. Sadly, it’s not a fun, charming 2D game. It’s another bad written 3D game. And this time it’s a racing game. Oh joy.
Gameplay: The Sonic gameplay has been famous for fun, simple controls. These are no different. The Controls are well crafted, although don’t quite feel fit for a racing game sometimes. I really don’t know why they could have used some similar elements from F Zero GX, because it would have really helped this game out. I rented this hoping for it to better than Sonic Heroes. Let’s say I was really, really, REALLY, disappointed. This game can be fun for a while, but after 25 minutes, it just gets old. This game doesn’t really have that many projectiles, which would have really been great. Although I must give Sega props for the amount of levels you can play in. 6/10
Presentation: The graphics for Sonic Riders aren't so great. It’s nothing less than Super Man 64! The menus are the standard thing, which include some flashy letters, catchy pop-rock music, and lame voices when picking characters. Once again, 6/10
http://i1.tinypic.com/s28w3m.jpg
At first I thought my Sister gave my GameCube some drugs, and that was why it was all blurry. But then I realized I don't have a Sister.
Sound: Although the music is cool and catchy at first, I become so sick of it. that I wanted to break my GameCube AND my ears. The voice-overs are okay, although the voices from the anime would have been more suited for this kind of game. It is kind of neat though when you hear the sound of people rushing past you. 5/10
Value: I couldn’t justify buying this game for 39.99, but if you really want to, have fun. If this game was priced below 29.99, I could understand because the multiplayer is pretty decent, but this game really won’t last you due to it’s mediocre gameplay. 7/10
It seems like Sonic team really hasn’t made a good game in a while. First it was Shadow the Hedgehog, and now it’s this? How do these people get money? It perplexes me why people by these kinds of games. There are plenty of other racers for the GameCube. Mario Kart, F Zero, Need for Speed, and even Nascar would be better than this. Well, scratch the Nascar, but Still!
This game really is the center of all this mediocre. I really didn’t like this game, and I don’t think anyone else will either.

Gameplay: Like I stated above. Nothing that great, just the same cliched racing game. 6/10
Presentation: Read the Above. The graphics are muddy, but the sound is alright.
Sound: Listening to the same song a million times can give you heart problems. The tunes all sound generic too. 5/10

How long will this game last on my shelf? This really depends on how much you like the game, but I don't think it would last that long with most people. I just rented it, which I would advise everyone who wants to take it for a ride instead of buying it. Get it? Take it for a ride? nevermind.
Overall: A mediocre game to the max. 5.6/10
Mr. Solanky, it is about quality not quanitity, the more you post, the more it seems
you are just posting to be in the team, also, just work on one review and make that
good instead of 3 to 4 mediocre reviews (above review really not that great).

Shonen Jump is responsible for many, many anime shows. Some of which are popular, others aren’t known so well. Naruto has made a huge splash in the United States, where the Anime is airing on Adult Swim. Tomy and Nintendo decided to bring a game to the Nintendo Gamecube for all the Naruto fans to enjoy. After months of waiting, Naruto is here.
For those of you who don’t know the story, Naruto used to be an evil 9 tailed fox. This fox was really evil. I mean almost as evil as Jack Thompson and Hilary Clinton. That’s saying something. Anyways, the town master Ninja sealed the fox into a baby boy, which he named Naruto. 12 years later, Naruto is trying to become a master ninja. He must overcome hard training, crushes on girls, and the discrimination from the townspeople. But enough about the story, lets get on to the Game!
This is the first game out of 4 that may be released in the United States. I believe that all 4 are in Japan, but they just started to release them here. Naruto: Clash of the Ninja is a Cel-shaded anime style fighting game, similar to the Dragon Ball Z fighting game series.
Gameplay: This game doesn’t have too many modes to choose from. There is Story, Arcade, Survival, and 2 Player. Each of these modes is short, with the exception of the VS mode. The Story takes you throughout the Naruto story, while the arcade gives you objectives and people to fight. Survival is when you play people until you health runs out. The real fun of this game comes with the Multiplayer. I played it over and over with my friends for the whole 5 days I had this rented. I just about mastered every character, which really isn’t that hard, because there aren’t but 9 to choose from.
Sadly, the Story mode and Arcade mode are lacking depth. Each could be beaten in about 5 hours. That’s really short for a 40$ game. I was hoping for a 10 hour fighting adventure, but I was let down. Ever mode is somewhat short, except for the engaging multiplayer, which is the best part of the game in my opinion. 7.5/10
Presentation: This game has stunning presentation. The Graphics are Cel-Shading very well, and all of the characters are designed exactly like the anime. The cut scenes are all anime, exactly like the real the show. These cut scenes have the same style voice from the anime too, which is a good thing. The Menus and everything else are good also, due to their great letter style and cool music in the background. 10/10
http://i1.tinypic.com/s3lpvk.jpg
Turn your head and cough Naruto!
Sound: The Music in Clash of the Ninja is nothing to scoff at. Mixed guitars and Japanese sounds are found throughout the game. All isn’t well though. All of the characters repeat the same corny voice every time they perform a move. What’s even more annoying is when they keep on yelling when they fight. I turned off my sound just because of their annoying catch phrases. 8/10
Multiplayer: Clash of the Ninja was meant for this purpose. Playing this game with your friends is great and is probably why you’d want to get this game. The only problem would be that mastering a character really doesn’t take long. If you’ve played any other fighting game, you shouldn’t have a hard time with learning the character’s moves. But other than this, the multiplayer is extremely fun! 9/10
http://i1.tinypic.com/s3lxsg.jpg
"I'm giving you the finger in Japanese!"
Value: This game is really short. Each mode is only about 2 hours each, and the extras aren’t even that great. The only thing that prevents this game from getting a low score is the fun and addictive multiplayer. But even that can get old due to the lacking variation of moves and modes.
Naruto: Clash of the Ninja is a good game, although it is lacking some things. It seems like this game is paving the way for an even better sequel, because all of the elements are good, but they could be improved. The Fighting engine is rather simple, but the presentation is excellent.
PS3 Review Team Rating:
Gameplay: This game is lacking a lot of length, and would have received a higher score if it was longer. 7.5/10
Presentation: Excellent graphics and realistic character movements make this one of the best Cel-Shaded games next the The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker, and Digital Devil Saga. 10/10
Sound: Great music, really annoying catch phrases, and decent cut scene sound level out the sound to an average 8/10.
Multiplayer: This is a really fun game to play with your friends, but the simplistic fighting engine and really east character moves drop it’s score just a tad bit. 9/10
Value: The game is worth your money, but only if you want some multiplayer action, if not, it won’t last you so long. 7/10
Overall: 8.2/10

Geometry Wars Review
By. PS3 4 Lyfe
Sorry if I didn't write alot, I didnt want to write to much about a game as simple as Geometry Wars.
http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/5193/titlescreen17az.jpg
The orgional Gometry Wars started out as a game created by Steven Cakebread, who was working on the first Project Gotham Racing and needed a way to test out the Analog Sticks. He slowly started making more enemies, then eventuall made an entire game out of it. The office loved it, and eventually they had an in-office rule that no one was alloud to play it. They finnaly put it into PGR2 as a hidden game, which later became a hidden Gem.
Finnaly They created a new version, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, which was a standalone title on the Xbox 360 marketplace, but you can find the demo inside of PGR3.
Ever since release it has been called many great things like the "Xbox 360's killer app" or the "Halo of Xbox Live"
With all of this Hype I heard about it, when I got my 360 I bought it right away, ad it probably the best 4 dollars ive spent in my life.
GW:RE starts out slow, which can be very annoying, but once the pace speeds up it gets really addictive. Every time you get a highscore, the first thing that you will want to do it play it again right away and try to beat it. It is amazing, and is truely a Major Killer APP for the Xbox 360.
In conclusion, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is an amazing game, and is a must buy for only being about 4 dollars!
Gameplay: 90/100
Its hard to give it such a good gameplay score, because there arnt exactly many gameplay mechanics in it. But overall, the game is just plain fun and addicting.
Graphics: 90/100
The graphics are not next gen, but at the same time they are not ment to be. I am not basing this score off of next gen visuals, but shiney, cool, and colorful visuals that the game shows. With all of the cool colors, explosions, ripples, etc, it juust might give u a seisure.
Value: 100/100
For only about 4 bucks? The value of this game is amazing. Enough said.
Sound: 80/100
I personally think that the background technoish music in GW:RE is very catchy. Also the lazer-zaps, explosions, and other cosmic sounds are a nice touch.
Xbox Live: 60/100
Well, its not exactly a game ment to play on Xbox live. It would be cool if there was a co-op...mabye in future releases.
Overall: 90/100
Great price, great value, must have.
P.S. I do now have time tonight, but in the new few days I will probably Re-arrange my review to make it follow the PS3 Forums Review format.
It is currently in the Xbox 360 review section format.
Resident Evil 4

Developer: Capcom
Genre: Survival Horror
Release: October 2005
ESRB Content Descriptors: M for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Language
Features: 16:9 Support, 480p Support, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dual Shock, Memory Card, Stereo Surround, Vibration
Media Size: 1 DVD
Presentation and Gameplay: I'm sorry to say, but this was my first Resident Evil game. I never really got caught in it's buzz until now. When the game begins in the truck in old Spain, I thought, "Oh, just some other game with pretty graphics, sucky story and bad controls." The second I got ahold of Leone, I was amazed. The controls are slick, and easy to get used to. The over the sholder camera worked very well for me, because in the game "Cold Fear", it had the same camera. The only problem I had with the gameplay at all is that you had to switch your weapon through the start menu. It isn' that bad, but they could've use the R2 L2 scheme for weapons swicthes.
Graphics: Whoa. These are probably some of the best high quality graphics you'll see. They do seem a little downed from the Gamecube version, but they also built the GC version from the ground up. The NPCs look fantastic. Everything down to the last detail looks exquisite.
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/Thrust86/resident-evil-4-20050926070718581.jpg
Sound:
The sound is OK. Some of the stuff in it sounds kind of scratchy and fizzy. The voice acting is god awful. The characters have no realism in them. Other than that, the usual stuff sounds great. Barrels and elevators and doors all sound like the real deal. They should have taken more time on voices and stuff. The music is pure ownage. It always is scary. So, yea. Bad voice acting and some bad sound effects with good music and nice item sounds.
Value:
There is a huge amount of content here to unlock. Along with a fairly long story, the side stories like the Ada Wong one is very good. About 5-6 hours long for that. There are also different costumes to ublock, like a gangster blazer for Leone. Last, there is a new weapon. I'm not going to spoil it, but it owns.
PS3 Forums Reveiw Team Rating
Gameplay-
Great story and good for new comers to enter. Fun side stories as well, with some puzzles.
9.5/10
Presentation/Graphics-
The graphics are great. Only a slight downgrade from the Game Cube version, they still don't seize to amaze.
10/10
Sound-
Great music and good small sound effects, but the bad voice acting a choppy fuzzy noises take down the rating.
8/10
Multiplayer-
No Multiplayer, so no rating.
0/10
Value-
Long immersive story, tons of side stories, new weapons and costumes will keep you occupied. You'll most likely play this three times through. It's that good.

03-25-2006, 02:37
I don't think i'll focus on games that are old, because most likely people already have them and really don't need to find out if they are good or not.
But for the newer games, they might need some help. I think you could trust us for more honest reviews than Gamespot or IGN. We actually beat these games, we play these though to try to enjoy them. I really think IGN and GS just play them to get the review done with.
Gamespot makes any game that's coming out look like it will be the best game ever, and when the game finnally comes, they give it a low score. Naruto got a 6.3 after GameSpot hyped it for months!
IGN can be a bit fanboyish. I like Nintendo, don't get me wrong, but I don't call a game from them that sucks a good game.
That's just my philosphy, I could be wrong.....

Platform: PS2, XBOX, CameCube, PC
Format: DVD, CD
Developer: Ubisoft Motreal
Game: Action-Adventure
Release date: NA JAP, 30 NOV 2005 USA, 5 DEC 2005 EUROPE
Gamer Age: NA from Cero, Rated "M" by ESRB, Rated "+16" by PEGI
INTRODUCTION:
At last, the Sands of Time trilogy has reached its third game. PoP3 promisses to give the gamer a strong plot, and intense fights with colossus and demons.
After fighting and defeating the Dahaka, and Rescuing Kaileena, the Prince decides to sail back to his land Babylon.
In the ship, the Prince promissed Kaileena that he would never let anything happen to her. The Prince decided to throw the magic medal to the seas, as he did not need it anymore.
However, when the Prince and Kaileena's ship arrive to Babylonian shores, the city is being atacked by the Viziers soldiers.
The Prince's ship is attacked by them, drowining the boat...
After the Prince woke up, he noticed that Kaileena wasn't with him. Soon, the Prince saw two of the Vizier's soldiers taking Kaileena.
The Prince decided to keep his promise, following the guards to save Kaileena, and giving the start to his last and greatest adventure...
GAMEPLAY:
As usual in the PoP saga, the Prince counts with many skills. He can defend himself wielding either one or two weapons. Also the prince has great acrobatic skills, allowing him to do huge jumps, run and climb walls, and use this skills in combat.
PoP3 is the longest game of the saga, and the one with the most intense story line, where the prince discovers his dark secrets.
Controls are tricky to master, but after some practice, playing the role of the Prince is an easy and very cool task.
The new hunting like mode, gives the battles a more intense feeling.
PoP3 has a gallery where the player can buy illustration and videos from the store. There are different kinds of Illustrations like characters, scenarios, action scenes, etc.
Definitely a game that is worth playing.
GAMEPLAY: 9/10
PRESENTATION:
PoP3 has great graphics. Characters have good lightning effects, and stunning special effects.
Scenarios have a great ambience. Houses in fire, dirty streets, old wooden stairs, and sand flying with wind give an ambience of war and destruction.
The building's design is very accomplished. Some houses and the Prince's Palace for example, have an arabian design. Just where the game is set.
The models from enemies, bosses, characters, and other items are quite detailed. The Prince's moves are fluid, and the effects like fire and water look very good as well.
http://www.princeofpersiagame.com/uk/ss/POP3_29.jpg
http://www.ownage.nl/images/content/21788.jpg
PoP3 also features an option, for the most sensible players, that allows the gamer to switch the blood for sand.
PRESENTATION: 10/10
SOUND:
The SoundTrack in PoP3 features many Arabian music, combined with Action music. With an Epic SoundTrack, the PoP saga has a great music.
Sound Effects like fire, water, swords, slashes, slow motion move sounds and others are well mixed and composed.
All the Pre-Ordered PoP3 for PS2 and XBOX in some stores, got as a gift the complete SoundTrack from the entire trilogy.
http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/images/cd/large/Prince_of_persia_992189BCK.jpg
SOUND: 9/10
MULTIPLAYER:
PoP3 has no online enabled game or multiplayer game mode. However some Co-operative mode like in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory would have been a big plus for PoP3.
MULTIPLAYER: ?/10
OVERALL:
The Two Thrones is the best Prince of Persia game out. Not only from the Sands of Time saga, but from all the series. Very good gameplay, great graphics and epic SoundTrack are some of the features in PoP3. However, a Miltiplayer, or even Online enabled game could have looked great.
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
Gameplay:
Tricky controls at first with no tutorial. But seing the Prince's moves after the gamer mastered the controls is awesome!
Great plot, and dark storyline fit perfectly the last game of the Sands of Time saga.
Gameplay: 9/10
Presentation:
PoP3 has great visual effects, detailed scenarios and models, impressive ambience, and nice lights and shadows.
Visually stunning.
Presentation: 10/10
Sound:
Nice sound effects and Excellent OST. One of the best SoundTracks in the whole PoP series.
Sound: 9/10
Multiplayer:
A great add for PoP3 would have been the Multiplayer or Online game mode. However The Two Thrones has no multiplayer mode. As SC CT had one, Ubisoft could have put one in PoP as well.
Multiplayer: ?/10
How long will it last on my game shelf?:
PoP (appart from the option to buy videos or illustrations) gives us no reason to replay PoP3. However, it is great to play as the Prince once again.
On Shelf: 7/10

Project Gotham Racing 3 (Xbox 360)
http://www.xboxcore.com/images/pgr3logo.jpg
Platform:Xbox 360
Format: DVD
Developer:Bizzar, Microsoft Studios
ESRB: E+10 for Mild Lyrics
Project Gotham Racing was one of the few 360 Launch titles that showed true next-gen graphics. PGR3 is in my opinion one of the most under-rated racing games. It is the least popular of them all, but I believe it is almosty the best.
It has realistic physics, but nowhere close to a driving sim, and it also has unrealistic fun physics letting oyu make huge drifts. It is 70 percent realistic physics, 30 percent crazy/fake, which I believe is a good mix. Offline Carrer mode is fun, but short. Yet, the real heart of the game lies in the online carreer mode, where you can earn credits to buy cars that you can race in both modes.
http://news.mydrivers.com/pages/images/20050728074146_52235.jpg
Credits is the game's form of money. You can actually use credits to get some achievements, like buying all of the Ferraris or Lamborginis. Getting these achievements won't be too hard for you, because it is extreamly easy to earn loads of creadits.
You can also park you'r cars in many different garages. You first start with a regular garage, which is small and only holds four cars, but you can move onto parking you'r cars in a beautiful villa next to the desert, or many other beautiful locations. You can also walk around you'r garage and drewl at all of the beautiful Next-Gen environments.
http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/2446/projectgothamracing32006022103.jpg
COCKPIT VIEW ROCKS
In Conclusion, PGR3 is a must have racing game for the Xbox 360 which demonstrates next gen graphics, fun online capability, and a great over all Experence.
Gameplay: 85/100
Gameplay in the game is quite fun. Always trying to get the perfect drifts and making good turns. The only bad part is how easily someone can take you out (do the pit manouver on you) online, and how often people do it.
Graphics: 85/100
The graphics are very beautiful, and I think that they scream "NEXT GEN" right into you'r face. Expecially the garage environments.
Value: 85/100
Solo Carreer mode is a bit short, but you will find yourself coming back to the game to play its online mode. You will probably replay this from time to time for months, so i believe you 60 dollars invested into the game is worth it.
Sound: 80/100
The sound is nothing amazing, but it is clean and crisp.
The soundtrack, in my opinion, sucks. there is alot of classical piano and violin songs, witht he occasional Beating Hearts Baby. I advise to listin to what you have on you'r soundtract of hookup your mp3 player and stream your music.
Xbox Live: 85/100
Xbox live is very fun. Tho alot of people can be cheap and unsporting by taking you out, its nice to see someone fail to take you out, let them pass you, then take them out yourself. I, myself, never collide of bump other people unless they do it first. Also, chain reaction crashes happen alot (one guy spins out, then someone else hits them, then another, etc.) but not often enought to ruin the experence.
Overall:87/90
Overall, it is an exellent buy and a solid racing game. I highly recomend this to any racing fan out there, because it posses solid gameplay and next-gen graphics. Actually, as a matter of fact, writing this review makes me want to play it, so I am going to play it right now!

However, i see something to change, like putting a bit more screens to convince me.
Also the use of the game logo would give it more design.
Use something like this:

TIP: IF YOU USE GOOGLEs IMAGE SEARCH, TYPE THE GAME NAME AND TYPE AT LAST "LOGO". EX. "PROJECT GOTHAM 3 LOGO".

TEKKEN 5
By Svetlana
http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0009KPKEM.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
Format: PS2
Rating: 12+
Release date: Q2 2005 (UK)
Players: 1 or 2 (online modes not featured)
Difficulty: Medium
INTRODUCTION:
Ever since the launch of the original Playstation all those years ago, the Tekken series has been the system's benchmark fighting game, redefining many aspects of the genre. Subsequent releases haven't been as successful as the earlier incarnations, something which was exemplified perfectly in the disappointing Tekken 4. Along comes Tekken 5 and with its luscious graphics, impressive roster of combatants and varied game modes. Read on to find out how it fares....
GAMEPLAY:
The Tekken series has always boasted exemplary gameplay and Tekken 5 is no different. After the last game, I expected the same old formula that Namco have tried and tested for the series but to my surprise, Tekken 5 feels unlike any other game in the series. In essence, it's a completely new game.
Arcade, Survival, Team Battle, Arcade History and Devil Within are the modes you're greeted with upon loading up the game. Arcade History is a great addition to the Tekken series which allows you to play the arcade originals of the first three Tekken games. All three games have been converted brilliantly and the subtle speed adjustments which makes the games play as quickly as Tekken 5 really works a treat.
Devil Within is a disappointingly formulaic platformer/beat-em-up which completely failed to impress me or make me want to play through it again upon completion. Devil Within is fundamentally flawed and the generic looking levels and repetitive combat does nothing to alleviate this. The only reason that you'd want to play through this is to gain points in which you can spend in the shop to buy extra costumes and items for your character to wear.
Customise Your Character!
http://twoday.net/static/rotke/images/tekken%205%20xiao.jpg
The Arcade mode is where the majority of your time will be spent in Tekken 5. The best thing about this mode is the fact that it has a sensible learning curve, one which rewards both experienced and inexperienced players equally. Seasoned Tekken players will progress to higher ranks with ease but it does take a fair amount of time to do so. If you lose too many bouts, you could also be penalised and be demoted to a lower rank. This ranking system is what gives Tekken 5 longevity and gives players the added impetus to actually want to play more. Previous Tekkens just haven't been as addictive or as rewarding for the progression of a player's skills. The Arcade Mode, due to the fact that there's around thirty characters to choose from and multiple rankings, will take you a long time to complete.
An important part of Tekken 5's combat is the focus on juggling, the act of keeping your opponent in the air for as long as possible. This only featured slightly in the previous games and the inclusion of juggling in Tekken ensures that bouts against both human and computer opponents require an amount of tactics.
The familiar Story mode tells of the reasons why each combatant has entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament, the competition which is central to Tekken. Completion of the Story mode rewards you with extra characters and bonus points which, like in the Devil Within mode, can be used to buy goodies with.
The Survival and Team Battle modes are pretty self explanatory and the two player games are always entertaining and eventful. The potential for living room Tekken Tournaments with all your friends around one TV are incredibly high.
PRESENTATION/GRAPHICS:
Jin About To Give Feng One...
http://www.silicon-fusion.com/games/PlayStation2/2696/12.jpg
Graphically, Tekken 5 is astounding considering it's running on a five year old piece of hardware. Every aspect of the game's presentation is close to flawless. There's no framerate problems, no character clipping and visual effects like sun glare are gorgeous to witness. All the menus are slick and aesthetically pleasing and it's only the Devil Within mode which disappoints. It feels like a rushed addition to the game, something which Tekken 5 could have done without considering the fabulous mini-games of previous iterations (Tekken Bowl, Tekken Ball, Tekken Force).
SOUND:
Along with gameplay and graphics, this is another area in which Tekken 5
excels in. Having a Dolby 5.1 set up running with the game amplifies the bone crunching moves and the background sounds. You can really feel the ferocity of a move when your character slams against the ground. The music in the game is quite unappealing to myself and the commentator annoys but the screams and shouts that the combatants make while executing their moves are oddly satisfying to hear.
OVERALL:
Unsurprisingly, after reading this review, you can probably come to the inevitable conclusion that I'm highly impressed with Tekken 5. Not only is it a fantastic fighting game, it re-establishes the Tekken series as the premier beat 'em up on any platform. Forget Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter - if you want a fun beat 'em up with lots of depth and rewards, Tekken 5 should be your choice.
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
Gameplay:
Addictive, sensible learning curve and very rewarding. 9/10
Presentation/Graphics:
Excellent graphics and menus but the poorly executed Devil Within mode feels like a last minute addition. 8/10
Sound:
Fantastic sound effects and atmospheric locales marred only by the dodgy rock/techno music. 8/10
How long will it last on my game shelf?:
An impressive amount of character customisation options and ranks will ensure that Tekken 5 will be a game that you will keep on coming back to. 10/10

Exactly - I copied the review template from the first page and basically filled everything in from that. Presentation and graphics, to me at least, are two very similar things. How can you differentiate between a good looking menu and a good looking game?

Pikmin 2:

Developed by: Nintendo EAD
Genre: Real-Time Strategy
Number of Players: 2
Release Date:
US: August 30, 2004
Japan: April 29, 2004
Features: 480p Support, Dolby Pro Logic II, Memory Card
Media Size: 1 GOD
Rated “E” for Everyone.
Around the launch of the GameCube, Nintendo needed a new franchise to help
Boost their sales. After about 2 years, Shigeru and his team came out with a charming little game called Pikmin. When I heard the concept of the game, I was skeptical but still gave it some thought. When it came out, I went to my local video store and rented it. It was a fun game, but awfully short. It took me 6 hours to beat it. Pikmin was a short but sweet experience, but I wanted seconds!
Three years later, Nintendo came out with a sequel. This time, it features a fun co-op mode, and a much longer gameplay experience, which is good because the last was way too short. So buckle your seat belts, grab that command whistle because it’s time for some more Pikmin!
The game starts off when Captain Olimar is leaving Planet Pikmin from the first adventure. All he has in his space ship are 2 souvenirs for his son. When he returns home, his boss is bankrupt, and he needs money. The boss spots his items that he brought for his son, and finds out that they are worth 100 pokos (pokos are the money in Pikmin) Olimar’s boss asked him to go back to the planet and collect all of the items to he can sell them. His boss gives him a partner named Louie for extra help.
Gameplay: Pikmin 2 has only two variations of gameplay, but both of them are extremely well done. The Single player mode could last one for about 35 hours, which is a great and meaty length for a non-RPG. You’ll move through 6 different levels, each having 5 or 6 different objectives, each one about taking 45 minutes plus. In each of these levels, there are also caves that you can explore which hold extra goodies. You can collect 5 different types of Pikmin, each of which with their own power.
In Pikmin 2, there are 2 characters to play as, that can be switched with by pressing L. The controls of Pikmin suit the game perfectly, and aren’t that much different than the original. You press A to attack, and B button to call your Pikmin. You can also assort your Pikmin by pressing Y or make them march in a straight line by pressing X. You can pick up your Pikmin and throw them too.
The only problem would be that the game can get a tad bid repetitive, and you will most likely play this game in small doses. The whole idea is to go find items in which you go take to your ship, and then the ship turns all of the items into cash. Like I said, the game can get repetitive, and I could only play for an hour at a time. 8.5/10
http://i2.tinypic.com/sb1m5s.jpg
Fatty!
Presentation: The menus in Pikmin 2 are animated with flowers falling in the background and Pikmin running about. On the level select screen, if the level has snow, there will be snow falling from the sky. The game also has a detailed log book filled with Olimar’s diary, and pictures containing all of the items and creatures he saw, which I thought was a very neat Idea.
The graphics in Pikmin2 are great, although not much improved from Pikmin. The characters and Pikmin look really nice, but the background textures aren’t that amazing. In one level, it almost looks like Nintendo 64 graphics, and the grass in that level just looks flat and bland. Other than this, it’s great! 9.5/10
The game’s manual/instruction booklet has a neat clay look to it, and it works really well with this game because it is somewhat of a cutesy game. Regardless of the age group this game is suggested for, the presentation of Pikmin 2 is great. 9/10
http://i2.tinypic.com/sb1mkh.jpg
Sound: Nintendo has always hired talented composers to make their catchy music, and Pikmin 2 is no different. Each level has their own distinct feel to it thanks to the music, and the menu has some catchy music also. The introduction music sounds nice too. The clangs of bells and cute stringed instruments give Pikmin 2 a unique sound.
The basic sounds of the games are very cartoon-like. You hear the funny noises from when you pull something out of the ground, and it made me chuckle the first few times. Your Pikmin also make a wide variety of different noises. The small white ones makes little grunts, while the fat ones make loud bangs if they are thrown. The enemies make strange sounds, like the fat pigs make oink sounds, and the bugs make a strange sound that I cannot describe. 10/10
Multiplayer: The Multiplayer has a lot of stuff to do. You can battle, or see who can collect the most trash before the time limit runs out. Overall, this mode is fun, but can sometimes feel a bit gimmicky. 8/10
Value: The Single player campaign is nice and long. It took me 33 hours and 32 minutes to beat this game the first time though. The second time it only took me 20 hours and 15 minutes. You also have a wide range of items to collect and a lot of diary pages to collect, which really add some meat to the game.
The Multiplayer may not be the best, but it is a great part of the game. You can do so many things that it would be perfect for you and a friend on a boring day. 10/10
PS3 REVIEW TEAM RATING:
GamePlay: The single player is a nice long game, but it can sometimes get really repetitive. 8.5/10
Presentation: The overall graphics are great, with the exception of some ugly textures and grass. But the water looks really nice. 9.5/10
Sound: Once again the sound is great, although it sometimes just stops playing which really takes some fun out of it. 9/10
Multiplayer: The Multiplayer has some fun features, but they feel gimmicky and short after you play thought them 5 or 6 times. 8/10
Value: A nice long quest that offers 35 hours + gameplay, and it even has multiplayer! 10/10
Overall: 9.2/10
Pikmin 2 is a great sequel that improves on all of the past mistakes and flaws of the original. Once you shake the thought that you’re too cool and mature to play it, a great game lies ahead of you.

Socom 3:
by: firefox
http://www.teamctf.com/blog/uploads/Socomm3screen001.jpg

Presentation and graphics are very similar, so much so that when I did my Tekken 5 review, I didn't even bother including 'graphics' on the title of the presentation section. I don't see what the difference is between a great looking menu and good in game graphics and I'm sure many others don't.

9.0 Presentation
The menu system and weapon loadout screens are slick as hell, and the campaign's story excellently presents the various villains. Still, a more personalized story would have been nice.
7.5 Graphics
Some stuff looks great, like the soldiers, vehicles and buildings, while some of the land is rather basic with regards to pure poly count. A little hit or miss most of the way through, but mostly hit.
8.5 Sound
Great gun effects and excellent music, even if it sounds like every other semi-future war game around.
9.0 Gameplay
The singleplayer is good, but as always, online multiplayer is where this game shines. Vehicles, bigger environments and more, the mix of Battlefield and Rainbow Six play elements is exceptional.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
A whole handful of great modes, bunches of maps and one hell of a good game, this could last you a whole long time online.

I prefer Gamespots way:
Graphics
By graphics, we mean the technical merits of a game's visuals as well as the aesthetic quality of a game's appearance and presentation. The graphical performance of a game weighs heavily into our consideration of its visuals, so even if it looks pretty in screenshots, there's no guarantee it'll earn a high graphics score.
Sound
By sound, we mean the quality and use of sound effects, voice acting, and music in a game. Any of these may potentially have a significant impact on the overall sound score. For instance, a game with an excellent soundtrack and sound effects may still lose points for sound if the voice acting is of low quality.
Gameplay
By gameplay, we mean everything from the responsiveness and design of a game's controls to how challenging, intense, or exciting the game is. Basically, this represents how well a game plays and how enjoyable it is to play. Games very rarely earn a 10 in this category, due to how elusive games with perfect or near-perfect gameplay actually are. We weigh the gameplay score heavily when deriving the overall rating.
Value
By value, we're referring to how long you'll be able to both play and enjoy the game, and also how much replay value you'll get out of it. Breadth of gameplay options and overall volume of content both weigh heavily into this score. The retail price of a game can also figure into the value score, as can the presence or lack of similar, competitive products in the market. The overall quality of a game also has some impact on its value.
Reviewer's Tilt (Tilt)
While this component is not intended to be directly representative of our overall experience with a game, we use it to influence the overall rating one way or another, based on our overall experience. For instance, a technically impressive game that's highly unoriginal may be tilted low, while a game with a truly outstanding story but an unremarkable presentation may be tilted high.
ign and gamespot is pretty much the same thing except ign just added presentation

While most games don't have menus that are key part to the game. So what are we going to do than?presentation is not just about the menu but how the game is presented ex:cinematics, cutscenes, storyline etc...
Thorzilla
03-26-2006, 21:59
If you see it that way, presentation is another kind of feature.
For example in some RE from GC, menus were great, as well as cutscenes and the menu display.
And graphics are the models, the background , te special effects, etc.
However for some games, finding menu screenshots would be harder than for others.
OVER.
presentation is not just menu but includes the story, and how the game is overall
presented to you the gamer

Technically no, we don't.
If anything we are an "unofficial" usergroup. Because if you want to get down to it, you guys are a usergroup already also. (a large freaking usergroup but one none the less)
Also, Thorzilla, I'm interested in knowing how you're going to have your Review Team banner, and you Design Squad (when/if it happens) banner on at the same time.

Hmm...I have though about it a few times. I might have to wear both of them cut to half...
Does the design squad allow DS members to wear their own custom Design Squad signature?
If they do, i would probably put an animated signature with the DS and RT fading...
But it any case, if it ever comes to happen (entering the DS) i will talk to NUMerc. to see what i can do.

Fight Night: Round 3 (Xbox 360)
http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/image/object/766/766603/FightNightR3_Xbox360_Boxboxart_160w.jpg
Fight Night Round 3 is a very realistic boxing game for the Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, and psp. It delivers stunning next generation graphics, marvalous slo-mo knockout punchs, and all of you’re favorite boxing champs.
Fight Night Round three delievers a boxing experence that has not ever been seen befor, especially on the Xbox 360. By default, there is no HUD, making the game look alot cleaner. You don’t need it, because you can base everything off of the facial expressions of you’re boxer, and the posture of his body.
http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/2789/easportsfightnightround3200602.jpg
Look at all of that Next- Gen Blood, Sweat, and Chest Hairs.
The single player aspect of the game isn’t anything amazing. You can make “rivals” just like real boxers, but they show no significance and the hatred between the two fighters is really weak. Just, while boxing a rival, the announcer might say something like “these guys really don’t like eachother” or something like that. You have 1 oppurtunity to workout per fight, which boosts you’r strength. Also, you can buy better gloves or shoes (which most of them you have to unlock first) to also upgrade things such as you’r power, speed, strength, etc.
Multiplayer is fun, but you can only play so many 10 minute boxing games untill it gets boring. Also, people can be cheap and repeatedly throw 1 hit knockout punches.
In conclusion, if you are a hardcore Fight night Player, or a hardcore boxing fan, this is definatly the game for you. The lasting appeal of this game doesnt...last that long. If this game catches you’r attention, or atleast seems cool, then rent it. Personally, I returned it to EB Games 2 weeks arter purchasing it because I needed the money to get Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.
Gameplay: 85/100
Graphics: 100/100
Value: 70/100
Sound: 90/100
Xbox Live: 85/100
Overall: 88/100
PS3 Forms Review:
Gameplay:
Gameplay is fun, exiting, and can be a fun challenge when against tough opponents. It is hands-down the best boxing game on the market.
8.5/10
Presentation:
Not the best Carreer mode, but online gameplay is fun. Also, the graphics are drop-dead beautiful.
8/10
Sound:
The announcer can ger reppetive and annoying, but the grunts the boxers make and the pounding sounds of fist+face are realistic. I might also add that the crowd is loud and changes depending on how the fight is doing.
8/10
Multiplayer:
Fun, alot more exiting than single-player, multiplayer is where it's at in Fight Night Round 3.
9/10
How long will it be on my shelf?
This can be different for other people...but for me...3 weeks. Eventually the boxing, atleast for me, got repetitive and boring
(FOR ME) 3 weeks =[

GAMEPLAY:
Featuring one of the best controls ever in a FPS for consoles, Halo is one of the greatest games up to date. EGM rated Halo as the top 17 game in the gaming history.
Halo also has a great cooperative game mode, a multiplayer mode, and different difficulty levels, icluiding the famous "Legendary" mode.
Halo also featured different vehicles like the warthog, the banshee, the scorpion or the ghost, wich later became icons of the saga.
Weapons like the pistol or the plasma grenades, are some of the best weapons on a FPS, and made a big series of followerd due to the eficacy and aiming.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10
PRESENTATION:
Halos menus are nice looking, and the cutscenes using the graphic engine are excelent and intense.
Menus are intuitive and attractive to look at, keeping the tech style used in the Halo saga.
Cutscenes are amazing and filled with action. Cutscenes show everything that happens between missions with a touch of action, giving the feel of a Science Fiction movie.
Great presentation overall.
PRESENTATION: 10/10
GRAPHICS:
Overall, Halos graphics are stuning and breath taking.
The reflection effects look great, as well as shadows, textures and models.
The most noticeable aspect in the graphic engine are models.
Vehicles look great, and the texture detail is amazing. The movement blur in the cars wheels looks good, and particles like snow, sand or grass go out flying with the pass of the vehicles.
http://www.planet42.com/games/reviews/halo/screenshots/hscreenthree.jpg
Weapons models are very well rendered, and the shooting fire animations are great.
http://images.google.com.mx/url?q=http://www.itreviews.co.uk/graphics/normal/games/g92.jpg
Some enemies like the hunters and elites are very well done, and their animations look real and fluid.

GRAPHICS: 10/10
SOUND:
Like graphics, Sound is one of the most remarkable features in Halo.
Intense and epic SoundTrack from Bungie gives the perfect ambience for the perfect FPS.
The sound effects are perfect, and weapons really seem to come to life.
Quit music in quiet places, and intense music in intense moments.
Perfect OST for a FPS.

SOUND: 10/10
ONLINE:
Microsoft and Bungie, after including a great multiplayer in Halo for XBOX, decided to include online game mode in the PC version of Halo with new maps, weapons and vehicles.
Online games are awesome, with modes like CTF, slayer, or Race for the vehicle lovers.
However, with the possibility of many games to be modded, Microsoft worked with Bungie and released Halo Custom Edition, as well as an editing kit. These two tools where created to make custom new maps, skins, and weapons.
If someone asked me what do I like about Halo, I would definitely say "Online".
ONLINE: 10/10
OVERALL:
Halo is an excellent game, and the best XBOX game yet. While Halo lived up to the hype, creating fans and haters, Halo 2 did not accomplish what it promissed, and it became one of the most over rated games.
If you have a chance to buy or trade some money for Halo PC, go for it, it is worth every penny.
PS3Forums Review Team Rating:
Gameplay:
Great controls, intriguing story, vehicles, weapons and online are the best reasons to buy Halo.
Many hosts are online yet. More than 2000 matches are hold online every day.
A game that cant ever go old.
Gameplay: 10/10
Presentation:
Stylish and clean menus. Ordered, intuitive and eye catching interface following the same styles of the menus.
The intense cutscenes, showing the events between missions give more tension to the storyline.
Presentation: 10/10
Graphics:
The models are very well done. Scenarios look futurish and they have great ambiental effects.
Sand, snow or grass particles are nicely modeled.
Texture depth looks great, and shadows helps it to look even better.
Animations are fluid in characters. In weapons, animations look great. The rocket launcher rolls every time a missile is launched, or the covenants plasma guns get overheated if they are shooted constantly.
Bungie did its homework in Halos graphic engine.
Graphics: 10/10
Sound:
The OST in Halo is great.
It fits every single part of the game. Quite music in infiltration levels, and fast and frentic music in shootouts.
Sound effects give a deeper touch to the ambience, giving the weapons a more realistic sound.
Sound: 10/10
Online:
With the possibility to mod Halo in CE, as well as the chance to play Online with friends, clans or modders, Online is Halos bets weapon.
Online: 10/10
Value:
For the low price that Halo PC can be found right now, it has to be on your gaming shelf.
Great adds comparing it to the XBOX version.
Halo also features support for many controllers, including new ones.
Value: 10/10
Overall Score:
10
SIDE COMENTS:Halo deserves a round 10 for Halo CE, the online mode, the new weapons, vehicles, and maps added since the XBOX version, and the chance to use a controller.
Halo PC is a great title that should be on every gamers PC.

Who do you guys think, that would represent the review team? Let me have a small chat with any mod to see what we do with this thread if firefox was banned...
Maybe ask the mods to erase it and repost all the reviews again.
If that comes to happen, i will send PMs to every reviewer asking to copy their projects from the BB code to notepad, so it can be easier to repost.

He was banned because he told everyone that M$ were buying the forums, so they permanntly banned him as it wasn't meant to come out until after April fools so it didnt look a joke. So until we know its a joke Thorzilla is leader, any problems with that?

Chibi Robo Review
By: Adam Solanky
http://i2.tinypic.com/sqmrr8.jpg
Published by: Nintendo
Developed by: Skip Ltd.
Genre: Puzzle
Number of Players: 1
Release Date:
US: February 7, 2006
Japan: June 23, 2005
ESRB Content Descriptors: Crude Humor, Mild Cartoon Violence
Features: Memory Card
Media Size: 1 GOD
Nintendo gamers really have nothing to look forward to until Zelda for their Game Cubes. Maybe a 3 or 4 things, but on the grand scale the GameCube is dead. It was good up until 2005 and 2006, but the hype of the Revolution is leaving the poor GameCube out in the cold. Luckily, Nintendo and Skip and put together a nice little package called Chibi Robo. The main character is a small little robot with a simple goal in life: Make the people happy.
The game starts out as a Birthday party in a house owned by the Sanderson family. It consists of a Mom, Dad, and little girl called Jenny. The dad is a lazy guy that sits around the house all day, the mom is a hardworking housewife, and the daughter wears a frog costume. She thinks she is a frog. Does that sound weird? This game is very strange and different, but not in a bad way.
Chibi robo is a small robot that has a battery. His battery runs out over a period of time. It runs out faster when you perform cleaning tasks, but it also runs out if you walk or run. You can get more battery points by gaining happy points. You earn happy points by doing favors, picking up trash, cleaning the house, and other random tasks. You can also earn moolah (money) that allows you to buy different items. Not that you know the premise of the game, let’s go into further detail.
Gameplay: The gameplay of Chibi Robo is pretty simple. You can clean stains to gain happy points, or walk around and do favors. To progress in the game, you must do specific tasks that help out the Sandersons. There are a lot of side quest, almost as much as Zelda: Ocarina of time. When you collect enough money, you buy an item called the Chibi Blaster. When equipped, this gun lets you shoot and take down enemies. The main enemies in the game are the Spidorz, which are robotic spiders that want to kill Chibi Robo.
Sadly, some of the objectives are unclear and it can be confusing to find out what to do. I had to use Gamefaqs 3 or 4 times just to find out where to go. It is very hard to find out what to do, even after you have searched to whole house. Another downside is that by the first hour of the game, you have already found out most of the secrets to the Sanderson household, leaving nothing interesting for you to find out.
There are a lot of things for Chibi Robo to do in the house. You can collect so many items, including trash and main items needed for the quest. Every character you meet has a long list of things for you to do (and trust me, there are a LOT of characters in this game) You’ll have to help tons of different creatures ranging for aliens to maniacal teddy bears.
The most annoying aspect of Chibi Robo is his battery. You’ll run out of battery life every 5 minutes in the begging, forcing you to plan you routes and always stick near power outlet. Once you beat the main quest, you gain unlimited battery life, which really takes away the annoying part of the game. 8/10
Presentation: The Presentation of this game really isn’t very good. Chibi Robo looks good, but the humans look like Nintendo 64 graphics. The background graphics are okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. When you look at Dad or Jenny, you can see all the jaggies and polygons, which really doesn’t do the game any justice.

Must be the roid rage. How do you think he got that big?
Chibi Robo’s menu screens are simplistic. This game doesn’t even have its own introduction, which upset me because even some Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo games had some openings. The music on the menus is some crazy Japanese pop/disco that made me chuckle the first time I played it. But the downside of the presentation are all of the sloppy textures around the house. Somethings look ugly and deformed like my aunt’s face. Heh…. just kidding aunt Betty. 6.5/10

As you see, the menus are very simplistic.
Sound: This game has a unique feel to it where sound it concerned. Everytime Chibi Robo walks, he makes a funny music noise, and on different textures and areas he makes different noises. When he is walking on dirt, it makes a deep sound. When he is walking on tile, it makes a soft, bell sound. I thought this was a unique part of the game.
Another great feature is that when Chibi Robo uses an Item, it makes a different noise too. When you clean stains with the toothbrush, a guitar sound is made. When you dig with the spoon, jazz piano is heard all around the house. This is another cute feature of Chibi Robo.
The downside of the sound is that this game doesn’t have any real words spoken when the characters speak; you only hear an annoying jibberish sound. It was funny the first couple of times, but after you talk to people 30 times, it just flat out irritating. 8/10
Value: This game can be short and long, it just depends on how you choose to play it. If you want to complete it all and get everything maxed out and do all the extra stuff, expect a game of 100+ hours of gameplay. Yes, it’s really that long. If you just want to beat the story mode and skip trying to get Super Chibi Robo, expect a short 8-10 hour quest. I know, that is really short, but it is fun while it lasts. But if you want to get everything else done, this game is worth your money. 9.5/10
Overall, Chibi Robo was a fun game. I enjoyed it very much. It was funny, different, charming, and even touching at some parts. It does have flaws, but the game still is a great one. If you are looking for something to feed your hungry Gamecube, give this game a try, but if you’re looking for a violent, serious game, don’t even THINK about picking this game up.
PS3 FORUMS REVIEW TEAM RATING
Gameplay: The gameplay is basic and fun, although trying to conserve your battery and finding out what to do is a chore. 8/10
Presentation: The small little Robot himself looks good, but everything else is just about average. 6.5/10
Sound: The sound is funny and unique, but the voice are just plain annoying. 8/10
Value: A long 100 hour quest, or a short 10 hour quest. It’s your choice. 9/10
Overall: 8.3/10

Holy cow! That Wikipedia page is very cool. Good job you guys.
(PS) I wonder if sites like Gamespot and IGN look at these forums and check on review teams to see if they qualify for a job. Think they would let a 12 year old work for them?

Introduction:
Full auto is an intence racing game where you go up ramps, sshoot rockets, and rewind time to be first to the finishline. You race in face, armored cars with a limitless amount of missles, rockets, bullets, grenades, and other weapons to destroy your enemys. The graphics are very pretty looking, and the entire environment is 100% destructable. One of Full Auto's biggest feature is the unwreck
option, where you can re-wind time to undo crashes or re-try jumps.
Gameplay:
Gameplay is very intence and very fast. You will see rockets flying everywhere, while the buildings around you are being hit and being destroyed. One thing that greatly effects the gameplay is the slow-down of the frame rate, which is very noticable and very annoying.
Graphics:
While the graphics in Full Auto are very nice. The environments look exquisite, and the enviroments destroy as beautifuly as well. Unfortunatly, while the graphics were really good, they didnt wow me...they were just good graphics.
On big annoyance is if there is too much destruction, the framerate gets super choppy. And the framerate seems to slow down alot (especially during the gang matches, because there seems to be alot more destruction going on)
Presentation/Sound
The sound is nice. With all of the explosions everywhere, with surroud sond you can hear rockets coming at you from behind, bullets flying everywhere, etc. Blasting the sound makes gameplay seem alot more intence and fun.
Online
Online is everything that singleplayer is, exept the rewind option (since it would be impossible to do and all) It is very fun and competetive and doesnt seem to have any lagging problems. One bad thing tho, is that the levels seem to be made with the re wind option in mind.
Overall
It is not the best game out there, but it is a fun experence. I don't reccoment this as a buy, but as a rental. When you are done with the game, you won't be wanting more, but you will be satasfyed with the overall experence.

Gameplay:
It is fun, exiting, fast paces, and explosive. Slowdown in framerate definatly effects gameplay, but it is still a fun experence.

Graphics:

Good graphics, but not enough to make me go "wow". Also, the framerate can get extra sloppy at times.
The graphics are based off of the fact that this is an Xbox 360 game, and I expect more out of next gen games, and have seen better in games such as PGR3.
7.5/10
Presentation
Overall a god presentation. Exiting gameplay with many features, weapons, cars, and explosions.
8/10
How long will this game last on my shelf?
Well I rented it, and if I had purchased it, after I completed it I would have realized that I wouldnt really play it again so I would have returned it as quickly as I could to get the most money from it..so I guess not long..
NOT LONG AFTER COMPLETION
OVERALL SCORE:7.9
