I just started replaying Starcraft after 3 years. I play online with Used Map Settings and it's really fun.
My username on SC is PerfectSin. I'm always on the US East Servers.
I'm trying to find a map, it's name is "Starship Troopers Complete"
No one seems to have it. If anyone still plays Starcraft and has this map I would be willing to give my thanks and some skill points to whoever finds it.

Still play Starcraft? Holy crap.
Although I never played Starcraft user map settings all that much, I remember my record was like 560 something to 45.

Starcraft is just an all around fun game. One of the best RTS out there.

Starcraft fun was totally destroyed when everybody declared that the only map to be played ever were those ubiquitous "FASTEST MONEY HUNTERS EVER!" maps.
You know it, its the one where they planted 50 minerals directly in front of your starting position.

Yeah, if I'm not playing a scenario I'll usually use the fast cash map

It sucks that no one plays real maps. I like maps that hold the true essense of micro management and war combined. all "fastest" does is take out the management part witch makes it noob friendly.
I like big island maps, that is where war truly gets fierce and fight become unique. My personal fave race are the protoss. I like how they work so you can spread rather quickly, they are a bit harder to play with on island maps but if you build a good mobile air defense it makes it much easier. I start off after i established 2 more bases(i do that fast) and i build 12 scouts to fight off early air threats and i start building tons of dragoons and a few dark templar(they are incredibly effective with a group of dragoons) . I then use arbitors(i get LOTS of these) to statis them and then recall into thier base. I keep a few arbitors handy at base to teleport some guys if i need backup. I then start to spread more and get carriers for the latter battles but still keep my core focus on arbitors recall attack abilities and defense abilities to keep my large area under control.

The toss are nice. It's fun sometimes to build a Dark Archon and mind control a zerg droid. Then tell it to build a hive and start making zerg.

it is much easier to do that against people. It is very hard to do against comp. I love a good match on ground defense. because ground fight are so easy with the protoss. I just build a few reavers and that's all i need. No one sees the use of reavers. But they are great for defense and attack. Though revears honestly need to be recalled right beside the nexus BOOM :D 8 dead miners. Zerg are doomed against reavers, they have only the ultralisk that can take them on all the rest die in one hit(excluding lurkers) 4 reavers and 8 dragoons can take out an entire base. Terrans are really good with ground unts though. espcially the goliath air defense(a moving missile turret). I still have trouble getting by a goliath defense and a few tanks(the best place to put tanks is outside your base so that when they are in it they are basically in a trap).
Starcraft has a wonderfully advanced balance systyms

Yeah, it's just plain fun.
I still have not seen the "Starship Troopers Complete" map yet.
Come on people you get skill points if you help me find the right one.

I still play StarCraft once in a while (bit of BW, bit of original), it truly is/was an amazing game, great replayability.
Personally, I think both the original maps and the money maps are fine. Money maps are great since they speed up the game pace, and allow you to play all aspects of the game fairly quickly.
Haha, I remember when I was just getting into SC and someone put an arbiter in my base (which I didn't quite see). I scrolled by my command center, and then all of a sudden there are dragoon cannons flying everwhere, but no dragoons. "WTF! Damn... stupid cheater."

I prefer Command and Conquer Generals to Starcraft, because you don't have to babysit harvesters as much, and the superweapons are real fun. Also, I like how there is more variety to the units and the upgrades. MOAB= 8)

You can play real maps by playing ladder matches or create your own game. I love StarCraft...it is my all-time favorite game and no game comes even close to it. I also played USE MAp Settings maps and created many of my own campain amps that reached all the way up to sizes of 4mb because of all the triggers I had.....which in StarCraft is huge!
