Assuming you can't have it translated through google then check out this site: http://newton.uor.edu/Departments&Programs/AsianStudiesDept/Language/asianlanguageinstallation_XP.html
Hope that helps a bit anyway.

You need to get fonts that support the Japanese characters.
Or...you could try what Ex said.
Apple has these characters supported by default on their Macs...in the latest version of OS X, anyway.

You actually needed to install your ime packs that are packed inside windows.
If you go to control panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Language Tab -> Check both boxes -> and restart.
Erm... he's just asking about viewing them on a web page, not typing in them
Ricokillercon, next time, just change the character encoding in your browser. In Firefox, it's View > Character Encoding.
I'm surprised the people who've replied go through so much just to see Japanese text on a site

Got it in one. :)
And Cera, you need to check these two boxes in order to see them in general, it's not just for typing. ;)
What two boxes? To see them you just change the character encoding, that's all.
Control Panel --> Regional and Language Options
Language Tab
In there under "Supplemental language support" you'll have to options:
* Install files for complex script and right to left languages
* Install files for East Asian languages
You need those two checked in order to even see Eastern languages in Windows, go and see yours and they'll be checked. ;)
I just did this (checking the two boxes that is) and foriegn languages now show up fine. One thing though, I went to Windows Update right after that and there was a new security update available to download, I found that odd because it said it was posted two months ago and I know I went there just a few days ago. So it seems you may need a security update after doing this.
