The Sonic video was actually very impressive. Although none of the video is gameplay...but it still looks great.

Mid way through the Sonic video they have a part where the announcer states that that part is being controlled in real time, then it cuts back.

At the end they state "I would like to remind everyone that this entire performance was done without pre-rendered graphics"

afterburner's video contains some footage of Virtua Fighter, Afterburner, and House of the Dead.

The Sonic video looked great, but with a game like VF, I couldn't really tell what it looked like by the horrible video quality.

Yea, Virtua Fighter and AfterBurner both had a bright white light covering the left side of the video which also made it hard to look at the right side.

Yeah. I just ended the video after I realized my efforts to see the footage were useless.

You're missing the avi ones... there was more than one naughty reporter in the conference... it's HORRIBLY shakey but the picture is much larger. Personally, I can't understand how you guys can glean a lick's worth of the graphics off those tiny vids... even the avi is horrible too.

I'm surprised at the number of games SEGA's releasing for the X2... seems like they're taking the X2 to be the unofficial DC2... there was, what, 6 games there?? Plus full-auto and that 5th phantom... That's the kind of support they gave the DC... hmmm, virtua tennis anyone?? Shenmue may actually get finished? That'd actually be a pretty good move... most of SEGA's execs work for M$ as it is... SEGA's vicariously (sp -_-) being ressurected in the X2??? If so a true war is at hand gentlemen and ladies.

Still to be honest, VF5 is the only one that got my attention... I don't even blink at the name Sonic anymore. I hope the can reclaim the 2d glory of Sonic.

I loved VF4: Evolution. Just a shame that the game was so slow-paced compared to most fighters.

So are we assuming that these games are going to be exclusive 360 titles? That doesn't seem right. Horribly out of key with the platform agnostic plan.

You know what guys. It really bugs me, why in the hell Sega doesn't wanna show this in public? I mean what harm a lil publicity stunt would do to a company? If this were gone public, I'm sure it'd have caused a lot of positive hype towards sega. Yet the company insisted on it being behind doors.

I'm gonna speculate my mind off of this. Since sega is creating for M$ at the moment. It doesn't wanna give out the vibe to M$ that it can also simultaneously create for the other end of the water if you know what I mean :P. So what if these demos were actually produced with the help of a rival hardware of microsoft. Now that would be interesting and a possible reason for Sega's secrecy.

Since sega is creating for M$ at the moment.

The thing is that this was show was not affiliated with any specific next-gen hardware. It may have been running on a 360 dev kit or a PS3 dev kit - we don't know. Also, why are people jumping to the conclusion that Sega is going to primarily be a 360 developer? They had a couple of games on the floor for the 360 (Full Auto, Condemned: Criminal Origins) and they announced a couple of titles. Things like Chrome Hounds are supposedly just "next gen", with no hint of platform given, and so is Fifth Phantom Saga. I think what people are perceiving as massive 360 support, just stems from the fact that Microsoft is a lot further in production than Sony.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz Mark Beaumont, executive VP Capcom and newly appointed head of consumer software in Europe, revealed that Devil May Cry 4 will be released on the PlayStation 3 this "autumn".

Devil May Cry 4 will be, as Mark Beaumont said, Capcom's next triple-A title.

The last few months there have been a lot of rumours about the PlayStation 3 losing it's exclusive of Devil May Cry 4. After all those months, Capcom finally put a rest on those rumours and reconfirmed it was PlayStation 3 exclusive and that they didn't have plans for releasing it on other platforms.

Hopefully the public can get it's first Devil May Cry 4 touch this summer through a PSN demo.

So expect Devil May Cry 4 to be released this autumn, so that's from October till December.

Keep checking PSU.com for the latest Devil May Cry 4 news.

Live! Good article Kees :)

Do you know that it's is short for it is? Reading through your article with this in mind means some of your sentences don't make sense.

Please be aware of this in future.
