Why can't I view DVD movies via "remote play".

So I can play PS1 games through the "Remote Play" (which I've done), but I can't watch a regular DVD movie though it...., why is that?? And is there a way to do this?? :confused:

They just haven't included it, i think it may have to do with read speeds ps1 games aren't really that much to stream off a disc wirelessly dvd's may be more difficult. You can stream vids off of your hdd if that helps

You can always back up your movie, extract it and put it on your PS3's hard-drive, or an external hard-drive and then it would work with remote play.
