This is bad. I've never played Second Life or anything like it but I can see the problems. I've already met a lot of cool people and even some business networking buddies. Sure Home is bare bones but chatting it up while playing bowling had me hooked for 3 hours. Add some shops, more furniture options, music uploads to watch at the apartment, game strategy rooms and I can see this getting crazy. People say this won't beat Live but it isn't Live, It's very different and I have a feeling this could spiral into a phenomenon for the gaming community. Well done Sony-you had a vision and are seeing it through. You have one believer here. Time to get back on! Lol

Ive met like six girls on that thing lol... Its fun to flirt with them because getting ditched isnt a problem, its a nice place to chat to people about stuff aswell...but its not addicting, I keep getting bored after like 40mins and going back to Burnout Paradise.
And Im not spending a Penny in those stores, well... If GT or Polyphony D stuff comes then the sky is the limit lol...

thats all u need it for is like 40 min, check your stuff, see whos on, buy some crap for your place or club(clan) house, then group up and get on a game, its if your feeling social that you stay on for a while, it should be the new XMB honestly, you should have an option to have it load up HOME right off the bat, cause the friends options are right in there, and u just have to quit or hit the PS button to get the XMB

Will home have severall servers to join? I don't see it possible to walk in between crowds of tens of thousands.

Glad you're enjoying HOME man. And just to think this is just beginning. Wait until all the new Game Spaces are released. From Capcom and Square Enix to 2K. The possibilities are limitless. HOME has so many things to make it soar this upcoming year. I can't freakin' wait yo.

After some more time on there I can't believe the amount of people hitting on female characters in that game. It's pretty sad/funny that people are trying to pick up chicks in the beta version of something  Especially since they're probably guys who just have a female character lol

I have to admit this is incredible.
What i want to know is how big could this thing get, considering how many people are signed up, or signing up to PSN. As long as they dont exceed ridiculous amounts of memory for this thing, it has the potential to be HUGE.
I was somewhat skeptical about Home but now i know i will be using it everytime i turn my PS3 on.
Amazing.

you can do it bud just aim in the middle and put a little spin either left or right and you should get strikes.

Comcast will be at my house to fix my internet first thing tomorrow morning. I haven't been able to update yet, but I can't wait to use HOME. I haven't been online with my PS3 in about 4 days and it feels like hell, LOL
I've seen videos of the infamous running man line they had in Central Plaza :)

Could someone please answer this?
When bowling/playing pool, if there is someone already playing, can you just walk up and start playing? Because if HOME gets packed and there and thousands of people playing I still want to be able to play bowling without having to wait hours for a turn.

Yeh.. so they probably aren't girls mate ;)
It is addicting, creating character is pretty cool, needs to be more variables in the open though, cos like nearly everyone wears the same thing! ha.

Second Life is nice but it is a bug fest. The core of the code simply started in the wrong direction, so pretty much everything else after that is getting wrong.
I hope home will be a much more solid experience.

Home uses many servers so there are only so many people at one time in "YOUR" bowling alley if that makes sense. Even still, at capacity, you will be waiting but from my experience I'm able to get on a game pretty quickly. Pool and the arcades are a different story though.
I kind of like it though as weird as that sounds. If 8 people could warp and play the same pool table it doesn't take on that real life feeling of community. Because tables were full I was forced to chat it up with people and really began to see the potentiol of Home. Just a thought.

lol! Yeah i'm trying to not let people get to me and i'm only adding them if they see alright. But i love making new friends on there, it's just a shame that some of them might only be adding me so they can chat me up.
It was really funny last night though. I was in the Bowling Alley with a couple of friends and this guy recognised one of us off here and then we started talking about PS3Forums and like 3 or 4 people around us said that they were members on here too, what a small world eh? :)

Amazing.
There are multiple instances of each of the home areas. Taking the bowling alley as an example. The instance of the bowling alley you are in is limited to 64 (this may have increased now), once this is full a copy of the bowling alley is made and more people add to that. This means that if your friend and you try to meet next to the pool tables, it may not work as it could be a seperate instance of the bowling alley that you are in. If they didn't have this approach the home spaces would be rammed with people. I believe WOW does something similiar.
