Like I've said elsewhere... both Pres. Obama's and Form.Pres. Bush's bailout are going to be the most deadliest blow ever to the dollar, if not kill it straight-off. It doesn't matter if they print it or borrow it, the dollar is being delivered a deadly blow.

This whole economy and stimulus shenanigans being shoved on us just angers me so much. I'm really disliking the government more and more with each word that is spoken in regards to the stimulus. I just want to wring some politicians' necks until they're purple in the face.:pissed:

Ah yes, already losing track .

actually you were right the first time.

the first one under Bush was a bank bailout... not an economic stimulus package.

and yes- a 2nd stimulus could be on the menu...
it all depends on whether or not the next bank bailout goes.

GRX Dragon
02-20-2009, 04:39
Ah yes, already losing track .

So I didn't read the link, I figured it was referring to another planned bailout I already heard about recently. My apologies if you were really referring to the 2nd stimulus package... bailout package... whatever. lol

It doesn't matter, either way the dollar continues to receive deadly blows.

Glenn Beck is a creeper.

Did anyone see his "look you in the eyes" segment... where half the screen is a close close close up of his eyes so that he can "look you in the eye while he explains why we should take his word as fact" ???

he needs to have a shoe thrown at him.

Also, did anyone else not help but laugh when he said, "Bury yer food grab yer cash the computers are goin' down!" when referring to Y2K?

So we have so much money in circulation that it's practically worthless? Then the solution is to stop making money, right?

Just like a 21 year old. Does not care about anything but himself.

This could be very bad for your kids future. Stop making money will not fix the problem. We have too much money now and if they get rid of money it will only make things harder.

My solution would be to give every household a $25,000 check. People would put a lot of it back in the banks which would really help the banks out of trouble. People will then be able to purchase homes, credit cards will be paid. Some will purchase a car. Sure prices may go up now but this will get people out of this terrible situation.

Well, better to do it now before the stimulus actually reaches the treasury. Otherwise, you won't make as much profit otherwise.

Wow

It actually is the solution.

That is a much more noble idea, but still devalues the dollar.

Really, the only solution is for the government to do nothing. Let the markets fix themselves. Yes, people will still lose their jobs, but it is the natural order of things and is much better in the long run, as people MUST learn to quit spending-even all these corporations, and even the greedy CEOs that need to learn they were wrong.

By making everyone a winner, you make everyone a loser.

The only way to truly restore our current economic system is to destroy it and rebuild from the ground up. Thats my opinion, anyway. :|

Viva la revolution!

Actually, you're close on the mark... when people learn how bad these things are, even if the gov't becomes a pure pro-Marxist state, there is no way to prevent anarchy. Anarchy might be however the best vessel to return to a country where there is separation of the state and markets.

My question is, who is going to keep funding these wars we keep starting when the dollar is completely worthless?

It won't be possible.

As was proven with the fall of the U.S.S.R., a good military REQUIRES a good economy to back it up.

So should I just graduate college and bail to Portugal or what? Mom and Pop aren't gonna keep me funded after school ends, lol. And they're the ones with the scrilla not me.

Just do what I'm gonna do... move to Dubai, they're becoming an economic superpower as it stands. XD

MINOR details? I would hardly call the world's most powerful currency that millions of people-not only in America but worldwide in the business world-failing a minor detail, regardless of how anyone feels.

You only live once, you might as well enjoy the freak show!

Your children only live once, so better to make their world a better place than to kill off all future generations at your own enjoyment.

That's the attitude that got us where we are in the first place.

You know what you can do? Write up your senators, your representatives, and even the president.

1+1=2
2+2=4
4+4=8
ETC.

Small numbers can and will become big numbers.

Edit: Not to mention it will affect you. Right now, buying video games may be hindered as it stands for you and anyone else. But if things keep on going as they are, you won't be able to buy video games so cheaply in the long run when the dollar continues to get devalued. Inflation will occur, and with that in mind it'll be even harder for people to find jobs as a dollar will be worthless eventually. Thus, in the end you won't be buying any video games.

(Didn't see this earlier.)

Well, that would only be the calming before the storm. Likewise, as much as anarchy can help us in restoring the economy it can also make things worse, as such is evidenced by various countries that have gone through revolutions (Iran, Cuba, some South American countries perhaps, and even Europe). Which would be why we must be careful, too; whatever happens depends on everyone, not just one individual or a majority of people.

Hey man, it's better than dumping obscene amounts of the tax payers' money into an endless pit that won't yield any results. I say, destroy the current banking system completely, abolish the federal reserve completely, re institute the American Treasury Note instead of having the Federal Reserve Note, abolish the central banks from this country, withdraw from the IMF and abolish the private banking system altogether and put stricter guidelines on government owned banking institutions. It's time the American citizen took control of our financial system.
