My name is Premal from Bombay. Just bought a PS3 from Dubai for USD600 as it was MUCH cheaper there. Well, it is Rs40,000/- here, which equates to nearly USD975.

Anyway, I have it connected to my 32" flat screen samsung using the HDMI from my DVD for the ps3 and works great. Haven't gone onto the PSN as net connectivity is a pain here. But i will so, in due time.

Till then, I am rocking on Resistance and the bloody difficult motorstorm.

I've been here for about a week and figured I better give a quick intro...

I've been on a few PS3 forums and this place is definitely the best out of all of them. The community seems pretty cool and there doesn't seem to be too many idiots trolling the boards.

Anyway, I'm the proud owner of a new (2 weeks ago) 60g PS3 with Resistance, Oblivion, RS Vegas, Ninja Gaiden, and NCAA FB 08. Plus a handful of games downloaded from PSN.

Own several PC's for both design and gaming, but thought I would dip my toe in the water for a bit of console action....my 9yr old son persuaded me to buy a Wii (we have a PS2 already) so I did, it sucked and after two days EBayed it and bought a PS3.

Hello everyone. I bought my PS3 the day after christmas so all my presents were completely forgotem. I have yet to meet a PS3 owner who is not satisfied with his system, and i myself am completely satisfied. It does so much more then play games.

As my name say's i am an automotive guy with a soft spot for the ford mustang. I own 2, a 65 coupe and a 91 convertible. Both are red.

I like pretty much any game that is good. I like RPG's because I consider them the lazy man's game. I can sit back and play the game slowly and relaxing. But I like action games. Racing will always be a favorite of mine, even though Im not very good.

I prefer single player games as opposed to multiplayer, because I suck, and I get killed ever five seconds in Resistance. Im the guy who always seems to be stuck where the action is not at, so by the time I get there, everyone is dead, and everyone had gained five kills while I was walking and searching for someone. I also suck balls and can barely beet Resistance on easy.:(

Reason i joined here, was that everywhere i go it is 360, 360, 360, and PS3 sucks. My PS3 is the only one i have seen that is not still in it's box or on display or demo, so i don't know anyone else who has one. All my friends own 360's. I joined here to meet more PS3 owners and to keep my spirits up until the really good stuff comes.

I was converted to Playstation mid way through last consel war. I used to be a nintendo man, but Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, and GT all were better then SSBM(which is still awesome though), and Zelda. My best friend (AKA my PSP) goes with me everywhere, and is accompanied by my Ipod. My PSP is hack with custome firmware, and 8gig memory stick, and a ton of games and emulators. Current fave game I am playing is Tekken DR.

I am going into my second year of engineering at college, so I don't have alot of time for video games, but I make room for them when I can. I can't wait for the Tekken online add on for the PS3 (comes out the day after my birthday). This way I can see how much I suck at fighting games compared to everyone else.

Fav games currently: Metal Gear, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Guitar Hero, Tekken, and heck I'll put Resistance on here.

Most over rated game of all time: Halo, Halo 2. There fun, but not amazing. Halo 3 is not enough to mak me buy a 360.

Beef with the PS3: Only that I can not use my Guitar Hero controller and have to wait for GH3 or Rock band for a new one. Rock band's lokks way cooler.

I don't hate the Xbox 360. I hate the fanatical anti-PS3 user's of the 360's. I mean why do we have to be at 'war' with one another. It's just a freakin video game!

anyways I've been an avid 360 supporter for quite a while now but that's not to say that I have left Sony behind.In fact going by some of the experiences that I've had on Xbox live recently(which were just basically childish comments and racial slurs)led me to the PlayStation network looking for a mainly more mature audience to play with or at least start over and make the right friends this time in online games.Either way with all these great games coming out soon for the PlayStation 3.gaming for the system seems to be catching up with the other NexGen systems I just hope they put more work into the online component of the PlayStation network especially co-op games which in my opinion is one of the most enjoyable forms of gameplay.and just to let you guys know what kind of games that I am into.let me start off with my most favorite gens which is first person shooters,action,adventure,tactical shooters and a bit of RPG's but in the end it basically boils down to if the games good or not, like I always say"it's all in the name of fun"okay-I'm going on a little bit too long here but let me end this by saying that I am down to game with any of you online my PlayStation network name is THEDVS1(all caps)and for good measure my Xbox live name is rift33.my wii number is really not necessary right now but when I get super Mario strikers hopefully that will change.N E way if anybody wants somebody cool to play with and that is not to uptight then I'm the man.:cool: I'll try to keep up with the forms (late to all)for now.

Hello, 28 year old Oklahoman here. Don't own any games yet. Warhawk may be a first. I have been using the ps3 as my media center for quite a while. Here is my open letter to Sony concerning Home:

Dear Sony,

I have never logged into Home yet, however I have a quick suggestion that might change the public perspective of Home. Please turn Home into a zombie holocaust game by making us fight, hide and steal our way into other buildings. The rest of the system can remain the same once we get inside, but maybe it would be best if we had to barricade various doors. Also we should be able to become zombies and attack people trying to make their way to various establishments by way of force. Vacant homes that are not online could contain various scrounged items such as ammunition, firearms and blunt or shanking style melee objects: shovels, bats, hammers, rolling pin, bottles, cheese graters or a salad shooter maybe.

Survivors who don't want to take part can probably relocate to some sort of green zone like they have in Baghdad, but to be fair zombies should be able to gather en masse and attack their way into that occasionally, it could be an epic event. Every time someone who has been a zombie before that goes to play pool or bowling has a small chance, at their own discretion of course to twist and start attacking people in those venues. Should we deem to stay a zombie we should be able to drag corpses back to our house and pile them up outside the door as a warning. The survivors killed would respawn but we would get to have that little special trophy collection.

That about sums it up. I don't think it has to be a right away thing, but at least consider it for an expansion. The world would be a better place.

i am very familiar with online communities, founded a few myself, the most notable is sectionzmusic.com, one of the first electronic music communities (circa 1997), still alive to this day. these days i have joined forces with the notorious narutoboy to create ps3tags.com .. i am the guy behind the code and have even invented some pretty cool stuff like TagPaper (gamer card based wallpaper accessible via the ps3) and dynamic avatars which change based on the first game you have selected in your ps3tag gamer card.

anywho, cant wait to start my own thread and let you all know a little more, but most importantly i am looking forward to participating on these boards.

I really like RPGs (Kingdom Hearts is my favorite) and action games. I also really like Sonic. I"m still going through all the features of PSU and plan to go through all of them before I really start posting a lot.

GREAT FORUMS Bloody Fantastic :) Im a massive PS3 Fan! and i was lo0king for a Huge Group of PS3 fans to go with it and i think i have found the right place. :D

I dont Own a PS3 as yet. But i am willing and saving up to buy one. ;)

Now The games i am interested in arnt out yet!

I think i might wait for them to be released or come to a closer date and get my PS3 then. :)

g'day im annus, im from a small island that is a part of australia, which is called tasmania
im quite a big fan of ps3 but not enough to be a fanboy( i really hate them)
i'v been lerking around on these forums for a few weeks as a guest and i must say, the forum is so active. posts are getting replied to in minutes, which is good because i'll finally have people to respond to my threads when i have a question to ask, unlike some other forums i use to go on

Im a forum pro. U can find me around most of them. The PS Blog, PS Forums, GamerFreakz, PSNFriends (Actually thats closed now due to a$$hole members joining) so im no stranger as to how it works.

Ive got a Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3, and 2 PSP's, one of which is a limited edition FFVII: Crisis Core PSP2000 which Ive recently bought off Ebay.

Im into the Homebrew scene and write a lot of stuff for OE but under a different name, and No im not giving that name out.

Im mostly into PS3 and PSP stuff. Im a sort of expert on Both. Ive had my PS3 since november, having shipped it out from the US and installed my own custom 120gb harddrive and gave it a Spider-Man makeover as black is...well....no. lol. Before the Mods get on your case, your signature is too big. The maximum height is 100 pixels and the maximum width is 480 pixels. ;)

No offence but the height width thing is something they could have altered in the Admin Board so why leave it??? I havent had to change it on any forum ive been on. Because it makes no sense to restrict it. It has to display all the information contained to the left of my post which then leaves a whole lot of space unused. Even if I was to delete my signature that space would still be required to display the information

I could understand if I was displaying a wallpaper sized image but if I took it away you wouldjust have a heap of white space. Look at some of the sigantures on here. Little things and then a massive expanse of white underneath. Most of the info to my left is useless to me anyway. The points thing, rep power, when I joined and all that. I just post. Dont need to get rep to prove how popular I am or aquire points so I can buy graphics that just sit there.

I post, cos its a forum. Simple as. If the junk to my left was lessened then Id have to change the size of my sig. If I take it off I'll go blind due to all the white on the screen.

Also note that his sig takes up 32.46 KB, where as yours takes up 138.14 KB. Besides, you weren't infractioned, you were warned.

spidermike white space takes up 0kb of room on the forum which means people with dial up speeds will have the forum load the same whether the white space is massive or not. they have the sig size rule for one reason, which is what behemoko showed, simply because of space that the image takes up.

Well, welcome annus, I saw you in here earlier, but I didn't post at the time. Also, your status says "Banned," but I looked into your profile, and that apparently isn't the case, what gives? I looked over all of your posts also, and nothing was offensive there, so I'm guessing it was your name..?

"EDIT:Just saw that you were in fact perma-banned for your name, but I'm on your side, try to contact Morpheus and have it changed, as it has to be your name, I found your posts unoffensive."

That was it word for word, do you know how I know? Because I always take a screen capture of posts I made durring freeze-ups, lol..

I think you should just have tried to get that username fixed, when you are banned, you can't use the same browser because it says "You've been banned." everytime you try to, besides, the name was all in good fun, he didn't spell it like anus, right? ;-) He said there was a story behind it also, lol.

I agree about the username, I just think it seemed weird because annus could technically be his name (pronounced "A-n-UUs), you wouldn't know, man you must have a sick mind. ;-)

Also, I know you like to be hidden, but did you really have to make it impossible for users (or at least non Admins/Mod/SMC members) to contact you? I tried to PM you about this because I was curious about something (that you've now answered) and it said something to the liking of "You are not allowed to contact this user." Just curious.
