Well, I used to visit this site twice a day in the last two weeks. Because I was not a member I couldn't post so I decided to join the great community of PS3Forums. I just want to tell you that English isn't my primary language. So I'll try to write properly each time I'll post.

Funny thing happened on the way to adding a Blu-ray to my Home Theater - I found out I like gaming a lot more than I used to. Played on my friends systems a little, but never had much time for gaming. Bought my first machine last November (wanted a Blu-ray movie player), and a couple of games so house guests could play.
Long story short - I got hooked on Oblivion IV (first dose of gamer's addiction), worked thru Resistance:FoM, and now getting into Warhawk. Lots of fun even if I am getting slaughtered by 7 and 8 year olds.

So basically I'm a 53 year old beginner who is really good at giving other people easy kills.... can't wait to get my first medal... heee heee... heard its for dying a thousand deaths .... :rolleyes:

To answer your question, you do not actually host games on Call Of Duty 4. It is all done server side. When you think you are hosting, the game most likely out you in a room on your own as there wasn't a free one avaliable when you searched :)

yea i know but some of my friends seem to get it straight away when you have a party of 5 or 6 people but it just wont happen for me

I'm pretty sure that it depends on your rank. if you're a lower rank, you're not gonna be able to host a game.

Your Blu Ray Drive might have fizzled out. Its best to call SONY and ask them

The orange light is the HDD indicator. It pops up when the PS3 is reading saves.

hi i am having problems with connecting to the ps3 network, i have strong signal (usually 100%) and can browse the web fine however when i play games online it cuts out after about 4 minutes of play saying connection was interrupted or disconnected. when i perform a connection test it says that upnp is not available however i have changed the settings on my router to enable pnp. any ideas? thanks chris

Sorry but I do not know what sort of dilema you have online, sorry but I don't know what's wrong with your online gameplay.
It's probably just a simple connection problem like your wire is'nt connected or mabey something like that.

Anyway appart from all that, enjoy the forums, and make sure you make some quality posts like in your first post but in your posts don't always put your name at the end of your sentences, people can work out who you are themselves, see you later mate. :D

Oh one more thing mate, what's wrong with your font size?It's too big so you should change it imidiantly to the font size I and everyone else uses.

Hi all I am CanisDiris (Dire Wolf) I am 19. I got my PS3 when the MGS4 Bundle came along, thought it was a steal $500 for a 80gb PS3, MGS4, dualshock controller and free online game ($10). Then about two months later they announce the Uncharted Bundle, $500 again for a 160gb or 120gb PS3 (Not sure? I was pretty pissed at the time), Uncharted Drakes Fortune, controller and again the free online game ($10). WHY?!

Anyway I currently live in the Philippines, not many PS3's around these parts. I am originally from Cali USA. Here in the Philippines for college because it is cheaper and more affordable. Came across the site when looking for Little Big Planet's Sackboy animated gifs (haven't found any yet). And decided to join the community instead.

Hi all I am CanisDiris (Dire Wolf) I am 19. I got my PS3 when the MGS4 Bundle came along, thought it was a steal $500 for a 80gb PS3, MGS4, dualshock controller and free online game ($10). Then about two months later they announce the Uncharted Bundle, $500 again for a 160gb or 120gb PS3 (Not sure? I was pretty pissed at the time), Uncharted Drakes Fortune, controller and again the free online game ($10). WHY?!

Anyway I currently live in the Philippines, not many PS3's around these parts. I am originally from Cali USA. Here in the Philippines for college because it is cheaper and more affordable. Came across the site when looking for Little Big Planet's Sackboy animated gifs (haven't found any yet). And decided to join the community instead.

My name is Mike and im 18, from the South West of England.
My favourite type's of games are Platformer, RPG, Shooting, Action and Adventure. I kinda like Horror games but I cant play them for long because they creep me out haha.
The games I currently have for the PS3 are GTA4, Unreal Tournament 3, Ratchet & Clank: TOD, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, MGS4, Civilisation Revolution, Motorstorm and Call of Duty 3.

Welcome to the forum Clooney2291. The new UK spec 80GB PS3 has no PS3 BC. If it means that much to you then either shell out the money for a 60GB on eBay and get an old console or buy a brand new 80GB with a full warranty and probably a few games thrown in, if you find a nice bundle, and get a PS2 from a pawn shop for £20!

Anyway, I’ll go into a bit more detail. I am a former Nintendo Wii owner, current Xbox 360 owner, and future PS3 owner; I’ll be selling my 360 once I get my PS3. I have witnessed a lot of my friends move from the 360 to PS3 this year, and now with a big paycheck on the way, I plan to make the big jump.

The PS3 titles that will be coming out this Fall/Winter are really going to rock the gaming culture. I am also excited about some of the great PS3 games I get to catch up on. The only sad thing is that I don’t have access to cable internet right now; I’m not going to be able to play online. I still hope I can somehow download the updates with my AT&T AirCard or with HughesNet.

Also, I have two pet rats. ;)

Hi EveryBody Im not exactly new, I been reading your features on a daily basis since I got my PS3 (just over a year now), and I did join once but could never reply to forum threads coz it kept telling me to sign in even though I already had, and then it would tell me that my username and password where incorrect even though I knew they werent, So I gave up with that and just stuck to reading your features section. But now I maid another profile while round a friends house on his P.C (Mine died shortly after getting my PS3 online). So any way thats my life story for ya, and I hope to be posting on a regular basis, or untill I get signed out and cant sign back in again.:D

Most members on this forum use grammar and punctuality, there's:
AJe, Behemoko, Jaeger, Blacksite....And many many more, those are the only people that I know off that actually use it.
Do you use it?....I guess you do on the way you present you're posts with some really good posting quality.

At the top of the page where it says "Welcome" and then your name, there should be inbox. Click that and look to the side to create a message. You can also go through User CP, found at the top of the page, to do that.

The donation thing is donating points. You get a certain amount of points for every posts. You can ;put it in your bank for it to gain interest.

There are some threads in this section of the forum which explain the different features of the forum. Might wanna check those out .;)

To send pm's just find the user that you want to contact, go on there profile and on there you should see some tabs, click on contact and then click on send Private Message and then just write away.

Donate means to donate somebody you're skill points that you have earned from posting, winning signature battles etc.etc.

Well you need Photoshop to make ones, and you need to visit the DS (Design Squad) section to request ones, but you need to have 100 posts. I hope, that did help you :mrgreen:

To get signatures you have to make them, but first you need a render to put in you're sig, go to www.planetrenders.com (http://www.planetrenders.com) and sign up as a member and then go to the gallery and find some renders.

To make them you just have to download Gimp, google Gimp and then download it and then you can go to you're main page, do you know the page which appears when you first turn on you're computer?
And in you're icons in the main page, you should see Gimp, go on that to make you're sig.

To put money into the bank, just go there and there should be two options: Deposit skill points and Withdraw skill points.
Go on Deposit skill points and type in the ammount of sp you have.
So if you have 5000 sp and you want to put it all in the bank, you would type in 5000 and that ammount of sp would go into the bank.

Hi all, I used to be a Nintendo fan and I've realized that they aren't any good.

I bought a 40GB PS3 at the start of August, I've downloaded lots of yummy PS3 demo's and have 4 great games so far:

Motorstorm,
Metal Gear Solid 4,
Haze,
Heavenly Sword.

My birthday is on the 21st and I'll be getting Soul Calibur IV, GTA IV, Dragonball Z: Burst Limit, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and a headset for online gaming.

I'm 16, 17 on the 21st. I like a variety of genres from shooters to action/adventures and especially love the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the main reason I bought a PS3. Oh and of course Soul Calibur IV. Can you guess which character I like? Hehe.

Welcome to the forums mate. :) But what I don't understand is that you're saying you can't post when you just did. :suspect: You only need 25 posts to make a thread, you can still post in other sections of the forum.:confused: When I first joined, I wasn't aloud to make threads because I never had 25 posts, but I could still post in other threads instead. Also this rule is compiled to stop new people from spamming. Welcome to the forum! :D
