Okay, with the Rate the Sig and Rate the Avatar threads being used up by people asking for opinions about threads they made i think it'd be better to have a seperate section for it.

So here you can post any experamental work and ask for advise tips and the like before you enter them into a contest / Give them to a user?

Thats actually really good Aquanox, i didn't imagine you as an artist but your pretty good! If theres another contest to get into the DS i think you should go in for it.

I especially like the way it's darker at one end than the other. The font is good too, i wouldn't really change that.

Yeah, I was just experimenting with different types of font. Obviously, the font I was using doesn't match well with scanlines or the background.
Here's a Tekken themed signature I just made for fun, using different techniques. It's a bit plain, but the signature's just a test.

Whatever you say Coolio... :lol: It's blended in quite nicely, I'm not sure if the brown and pink work well together though. I know you took the colour from the girl's hair but I'm still not sure about that... Oh and did you add a blur filter on the render?

Legend Killer: You did a nice job on all of them. The only thing I would change is making the 3 on MC's shoulder a little less noticeable in the Halo 3 sig, it takes too much attention away from the rest of the sig in my honest opinion. Other than that, they are really nice. Good job.

I like it Legend Killer, nice cut, shame you had to outline the hair but it looks good over all 8/10, the one major problem i have with it is that the lettering and its placement are not good at all, may i suggest placing it at the same angle on his coat and maybe making the colours a subtle version of the boarder.

:lol: Like it minimal sanity, quite humerous, not particularly original, however it is well made, the background is nice as is the cut out 7/10, the dark blending and blur dont lend themselves well to it and the bullet holes look a lil tacky.

Wow, thats kool, nicely done.

The background is great, nice colours, good diversity of angles and lines as well as shades of red, the character is well rendered and the glow is a nice touch, But i think u spoil it a bit by putting a big grey bar across it, the lettering is poor and it just looks outta place 9.6/10 without grey bar, 8.4/10 with grey bar.

#1. I would make it bigger but it looses clarity, and yea the scan lines do need to be more opake.

Ok, your entitled to your own opinion, im experimenting, i used to like all the clean almost futuristic sigs, but i got bored and am now changing tack :P . Theres more than 4 people that use it i think :? Well if there isnt, the people that do seem to like to use it alot! Or is it just me noticing it alot :roll:





Oh and Trib, can i just say that although your tutorial took off like a house on fire so many people are using it at the moment it getting a lil boring, a nice effect over used is not good, i was wondering whether you should limit your stock of it or something

C4d is a 3d program called Cinema 4d. People make these abstract shape renders and people throw them in sigs... I don't like that many of them.

To me C4ds are cheap ways of making sigs in certain situations. I only use them in one way. To make an action sig. Much like the Skull.

The first two are great, but the third one could use green instead of yellow...Because she is the one surviving in nature (also his suit is green :lol: )
The forth one looks as great as the firts two, but in the GoW one, Kratos looks waaaaaaay too Smudged. Fix that and you will have a A+ sig :wink:

LK the only good sig of those is the 3rd, color balance makes all the difference and the way that sig fits, along with the text etc. just works. The other's really don't.

lk the background i think on the tekken one is a little too plain and simple. But the last one and is really goos. I like the motion blur! The 2nd looks like his face is kinda screwed up. I like the spiderman one and the gladioator one alot. There's a slight jagged edge under Christie's left arm near her green arm bracelet. It looks like she has fuzz on her arms...lol You might need to sort that out.

Select the layer that your render is on then go to Layer>Matting>Defringe and select at 1px. This should remove the jaggy area and make the render's edges look cleaner.

Well, in gamerenders you just have to go to the gallery and search for it. There are tons of tekken renders in there.
