Hey Guys.
I'm really sorry that I've dropped the ball a bit lately. I know it's made things a little bit harder for you (especially the editors) in that you're filling in gaps that I've missed, in order for your articles and whatnot to shine.
Adam, Mike - I'm sorry I let you guys down. Hopefully it hasn't been too much of an impact on you guys, and that hopefully you've not lost faith that I can do the job.
Eric - I'd like to thank you for helping out with the Database in filling in the gaps too, and for helping me be able to enter in game summaries to game pages. It's helped a lot.
Anyways, this wasn't meant to come out as a speech. Here's a status report.
*** PS3 titles up to 10th of October 2010 have been updated in the database (did this today).
- I've added as much info to these game entries as possible, as well as screen shots, game art etc.
*** PS3 titles from the 10th of October 2010 onwards will be added Tomorrow, to be at least a month or two months in advance.
- I won't be able to do this until I get home from college tomorrow afternoon around 2pm my time. I'll be working right through til about 8pm getting this done, but it may carry on through to Tuesday.
*** PSP & PS2 titles will be updated once I've finished with the PS3 updates.
- Barring anything that needs major updates (upcoming reviews etc) I'm putting this on the lower priority list so I can concentrate on the PS3 titles.
*** Trophies will be getting an update once I'm ahead with PS3, PSP and PS2 database updates.
- I know these haven't been added since May, but Game entries take priority. If someone would like to aid me in getting some trophy games added, I'd very much appreciate it.
Anyway, that's my status report on what's happening with the database.
Once again, sorry that this has happened. I'm making every effort to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Very nice updates there Matt, and while I didn't doubt your abilities in regards to the job, I did notice a slight drop in database attention so I appreciate you going to the trouble of clearing things up.
Keep up the good work though, i'm glad to hear things are back on track.

Just a little update. Database updates incoming tonight guys. Sorry for the delay.
I actually took the entire day off college yesterday so I could spend the whole day doing updates, but either early yesterday morning or the night before, my internet got shaped due to exceeding our monthly quota (I share the connection with three others). I have a feeling we're still capped, as it's painfully slow to just log on to the forum, but it should be working properly after I get home this afternoon.

I appreciate the work you do, man. Having done a lot of it myself in the past, I recognize how monotonous and annoying it can sometimes be -- though at other times I find it quite satisfying and addictive (though that's only when all the tech involved works smoothly). But yeah, it's quite an epic task at times -- all the more reason that dropping behind really sucks, because a little bit can pile up into quite a lot.
I'm a college student too, and academic priorities are ultimately #1 for me, and should be for you to if you're in school. We have the rest of our lives to work. That said, when I used to set out to get something epic done on the database, like updating a whole letter's worth of titles (e.g. from Damnation to Dynasty Warriors), I'd squeeze it in during every 10-15 minute gap, any hour break, whatever, until I'd completed it. I've always worked very hard in school, and very hard at PSU, and achieved quite satisfactory results in both. It's a lot of work and frankly feels quite heavy at times, but PSU is unique -- it's both work and a hell of a lot of fun. We're pretty lucky to get paid for this, to have societal demand for this type of work at all. It's quite nice to just step back and say that sometimes.
Anyway, now I'm definitely getting off topic. Basically, glad you're back on top of things. Keep it up. :)

Agreed. It's very tedious work and takes up a lot of time. You've done a great job so far. Keep it up.

Sorry for the lack of updates this past week guys. This week was my final week at college, so I've been tying up shit to wrap the year off (handing in assignments, all that bollocks). I'm on holidays at present, which means I'll be working as much as I can through the week until february 2011 (with the exception of weekends, and a week at christmas off).
Was going to do updates today, but was just so tired - so I took a lax day and played some FNV. Updates incoming tomorrow.
