Ghost Recon 4 announced





Ubisoft's released sales data for its fourth fiscal quarter, revealing that long-missing Splinter Cell Conviction will finally be released this Christmas.

Ubsisoft also confirmed that a brand new Ghost Recon game, called just "Ghost Recon 4" will be released in "2009-2010", just as CVG revealed earlier this year (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=205377).

"In 2008-09, we... continued to invest heavily in Ubisoft's future potential, hiring some 1,300 talents for our studios with a view to driving the Company's expansion, further strengthening our franchises and preparing for the next generation of handheld as well as home consoles," the company said in a statement.

"The results of these efforts will be seen as early as this Christmas with one of the industry's most ambitious games line-ups which will include Assassin's Creed 2, James Cameron's Avatar, Splinter Cell Conviction, Rabbids Go Home and Red Steel 2."

Both Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon are expected to be unveiled at E3 in June.

what happend to GRAW3 ? but anyway its great news as i still play GRAW2 on 360

Rainbow Six Vegas was genius. The sequel was disappointing, but I know Ubisoft can do it!

Making the SP more simulation based again would be nice, and I believe an upgrade to that outdated *** engine is in order.

Rainbow Six Vegas was genius. The sequel was disappointing, but I know Ubisoft can do it!

I'll be interested when UBI brings skill back into the game and does not dumb it down for the masses.

ah 5hit i just realised that the Title wasnt GRAW4 lol but anyway as long as they keep the GRAW2 servers up il be happy with no more GRAW sequals

I think they are counting both GRAW games as Ghost Recon 3. Silly and confusing if you ask me, but a change of vision for this franchise right now is a very good thing imo.

Thank god for that! The voice acting for Scott Mitchell was totally cheesy and pig headed. The more military oriented the game becomes the better, I just hope they keep the things that GRAW did really well. I want to see more high tech weaponry.

well the 360 version got a more guns pack for the SP campaign.

Look forward to trying a future demo for this, have enjoyed past GR games like Island Thunder/Jungle Storm on ps2.

I love GRAW 1 + 2. They are great. But i do prefer to play with the interface thingy off, so enemies aren't highlighted. So hopefully the new one will play like GRAW games, but with less advanced tech.

Me too. We have a large group of us that still play Vegas 2 on a semi-regular basis. It's a very good game.
