Ok, before I even think about setting this up I need to know how many of us render.

The Idea:

Depending on how many of us render I want to start a tourney type deal.

I hope to have atleast 8 people.

I will come up with a scoring system for a panel of judges to score a render on. (I will take applications for someone to be a judge)

At the end I hope I can get a moderator to approve atleast a 1000 skill point prize (with more people I might try and get that number raised based on the number of contestants), or hopefully a cool icon (like going back to a non-active member and if he has a PS3 icon take it and give it to the winner... they wont need it anymore anyways)

I think this would be fun. I know a few of us hate to render but, hey, there will be some motivation here.

So far 4 people Render. I don't know if they want to have a tourney over it but it's hope!

Does extracting images count as rendering? If so, I do render and I might be able to compete if I'm free.

Thanks firefox, haha. I'm not gonna start that here, lol.

I might compete, actually I would probably judge, I dunno, whatever.

So that's five people that render. It's still short of what I was hoping for.

The longest Render I have ever done took me about 5 hours.

That's it.

Although I want to find one that will take me a couple of days, but alas, nothing appeals to me that would be worth the while.

I have to bring this idea back. I think it would be a lot of fun doing a render competition. What do you guys think?

When you guys say Render, are you talking about 3d pictures that use ray-tracing or something else?

No, we are talking about cutting out characters from a background.

Chart-Track’s revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops has broken records for day one game sales in the UK, with the Cold War-era shooter moving 1.4 million units in its first 24 hours on the market.

The milestone puts the Treyarch-developed FPS ahead of previous record holder Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by 14 percent. Additionally, Black Ops pulled in a whopping £58 million in revenue on launch day, surpassing Infinity Ward’s 2009 effort by 22 percent.

Black Ops’ success has cemented the shooter as the “biggest entertainment launch ever,” as announced by publisher Activision yesterday.
