Resistance Retribution Question. Please Help!

Hey,
so im thinking of downloading resistance retribution from psn but yesterday my psp's L button stopped working (it just wont register, im gonna open it up tomorrow and take a look) but my question is:
Is there a way to change the Controls so the L button is not used?

The L button is used for ALT fire. I don't know if there's a way to change the controls so that L isn't used.
