I just got Sky back sometime last week and its been years since i used Sky. And when Im watching the Sky movies, I can only watch a certain amount a movies at different times.
For example
Street Kings, I couldn't watch that movie at all through the day, then when it gets late after 6 I can watch it. The annoying thing is even if a movie is old, I still couldn't watch it, all it had on was request a pin number.

Is this happening to anyone else

EDIT: BTW i've got both Sky Movie Packages

It's all to do with parental control. Sky have introduced a new watershed system to make sure children aren't seeing something they shouldn't be seeing, like extreme violence or sex. I think you can turn it off in the 'Sky Settings' though, but I'm not too sure.

as jaeger said its a parental control, you can either enter your pin everytime you want to view a movie with age ratings or turn it off in the settings (which requires your pin)

I tried to turn it off, and I couldn't get it to work.

I'm sure there's something in the menus somewhere that literally goes along the lines of "Turn PIN Protection off", and it still asked me for my PIN code when trying to watch a 15 rated movie during the day.

It's annoying - if you live in a household with no young children.

Does it ask you for a Pin number when you go to watch a movie you want to watch? We have a Pin number on ours and we just enter it in to watch a movie.

Not sure how we got one though. Try contacting Sky. I think you give them your details of your Sky Box, and they program it so you can have a Pin number, and you just put what you want your Pin number to be in the field on your Sky.

Not sure if this is what you do. My Dad done all of this Pin stuff. But contact Sky anyway. I'm sure they can give you the correct answer.

Try contacting Sky.
Pointless. Called up Sky a few weeks ago to ask when we'll be getting our new viewing card, as well as our upgraded TV Guide (as we have Sky+ HD), and they told us within the next week. As I stated, this was a few weeks ago, and we're still the same.

The call centres aren't even in the UK I don't think and I'm not sure how much the call costs a minute.
