Maybe he just needs a temp ban and then if he continues give him a perma ban.
I am sorry, but I think you're being just a tad harsh. He is getting out of hand with personal attacks and fanboyism to an extent, I will agree with that, but I believe we are all guilty of defending our preferences at times. I mean, the thread you gave as an example was a rallying cry from you to defend Blu-ray. I admit that I am probably one of the least innocent when it comes to defending my opinions, but at times you are not much better, especially when making fairly consistent jabs at 360 such as "keeping your living room warm in the summer". I do agree with you that he is getting out of hand, but I don't think it is because he is defending his preferences. I am not trying to insult you in any way Lefein, I just think you are being a tiny bit harsh. I believe he should be temporarily banned. If he doesn't calm down, then give him the boot permanently.
I do think he needs a temporary ban. But that's just me.
