So I moved a few months ago, and I'm in a situation where I need to use wireless internet with my 80GB PS3. It was working pretty good for quite a while, then for some reason it starting telling me that it was having connection issues with the PSN, not the internet (as the browser still works), but just with PSN.
It drops me quite often, and some times it drops me every 5 minutes. I get two different errors, both of which (I looked it up on the PS website) just are general errors that are connection issues with the PSN (well no ****!).
Anyway, I have a good internet connection, and a good router. My signal strength on the PS3 from my router is usually around 85%.
Now, I've tried many different things. I have some ports open for COD4, and gaming in general. I have the priority (QoS) set so that traffic to and from the PS3 is #1 priority, and I have very loosely secured network for the PS3 so that there isn't much problems.
But it still kicks me every 10 minutes to every hour, and tonight It's been constant. I'm starting to lose my mind on this one. I've tried letting it do it's own thing, I've set it up manually, let it run on auto settings to the router, and it's always having connection issues to the PSN.
About the only thing I haven't tried is putting the PS3's IP into a DMZ.
