You could have a look at the range of Android devices out, It's slowly catching up to iPhone and already exceeds it in some technical features. It also has full Google support and integration which is one of the biggest driving features behind it's success.

Have a look round before plumping for an I Phone. The touch screen gimick of the I phone is great but thats about it. You can get so much more for your money now a days, HTC, Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, etc to name a few
