Hey, didnt see one, so i thought id create this. 24 is my favourite show ever, and i jack bauer is the frickin man!!

What are your reviews or thoughts on Season 8 so far?
Here is mine:
The two-hour Season 8 Premiere of 24 aired sunday on Fox(i will watch hours 6pm and 7pm after work). It was more action packed than I expected and while watching the episodes, I started to feel bad for Jack Bauer. The man just can't get a break. He needs a vacation and I wonder if he'll ever make it to Los Angeles. For some reason, even if he gets there, trouble may still find it's way to him.
It seems that everyone is shady in this new season, and it's just getting started. Most of the performances were good but I hope the remaining episodes in this season show an improved performance from Freddie Prinze Jr. because he was not convincing as a CTU agent. His character seems a little too laid back, very weak (why didn't he stand up to his boss when discussing the report on what happened when he went to pick up the informant?) and just not believable as a 24 character.
I do not like the new setup of CTU. The employees are lackluster and should not be trusted....I mean, who spies on girls tanning in bikinis while on the job? I know this probably happens in real life, but this is 24 and that kind of behavior would not be tolerated at the old CTU. There may be a lot of problems in the next episodes going forward because CTU does not seem to be up to speed and equipped to handle the types of crimes and threats that are made against the country and the political leaders on this TV show.

I loved the first 4 episodes :D
..I kinda agree with what you said about Freddy Prince JR ... but they've kinda already labelled him like a 'boyscout' so in a way he kinda fits the part
I wanna see where there gonna go with this stalker storyline, that guys a right ****** lol
A good start to what should be a good season, anyone else get the feelings Jacks gonna die? lol

Pretty much if you work at CTU I hate your guts and hope you die (cept for Chloe). I don't care at all about the blond chicks white trash past.
Renee is awesome though, glad she is back.

It is getting good now, storlines are starting to fall into place, but I still think there is something more to the whole old creepy boyfriend though, more than what they showed us on Monday. I like the role reversal between Jack and Renee but I don't think it will last too long, Jack is gonna get a taste again and watch the **** out.
The last episode was pretty weak. The opening four were great, though.

just finally watched the first 5 shows yesterday. as always one threat is stopped and a larger one is revealed.
but all that aside, this season does look great. Renee is awesome and I'm glad she's back. the CTU boss is a total ******* tho.
I think that Prinze Jr.s Character is going to unload on the stalker, he just seems to be too laid back right now.
one thing I didn't get: was the Russian's youngest son transporting the rods inside him, or was he just babysitting them?

i was a HUGE fan of 24 but let down from season 7, especially at the end. :angry
but i like what i see so far and hope that it will go more brutal and unforgiving; i like Renee now, in the past she annoyed me like hell. self righteous FBI kiddo... now she's mental !! :lol:
i think it needs to be a bit more fast paced, the hole past thing with that agent has a bit hole in it: if you work for an agency like CTU, i think that the government knows everything about you, including how many times you kicked in your momma's womb while she was pregnant with you. :liar:

Renee has put in some powerful performaces in the last few hours, i almost forgot about Jack
And shes hot too!!!
The last 2-3 episodes have been pretty uneventful.

I couldn't agree more.
I thought Dana was going to trap the stalker in the evidence building, a little disappointing that she didn't grow a pair.
I read that Kiefer Sutherland is having surgery!? (nothing major they stated) They also said that it won't affect the scheduling release of the episodes.

Has Jack Bauer’s time finally run out?
According to the trade’s sources, Fox and the producers of “24″ are ready to put the final nail in the show’s coffin after the completion of season 8. No official statement has been given as of yet, but the announcement is expected to be made within a day or two. This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the talk that’s surrounded the series for the past few seasons.
“24″ kicked off a new era for Fox along with “House (http://screencrave.com/tag/house)” and “American Idol” that made the network a ratings giant and a viable competitor against the big three (ABC, NBC, CBS). Yet, over time the series’ ratings have declined as the price of production has continued to increase. The show has also been on the receiving end of the some pretty harsh plot criticisms, especially this season.
Even if the show does end its run on television, Bauer’s story is far from over. As we reported last month, a feature film adaptation (http://screencrave.com/2010-02-09/24-feature-film-headed-to-the-big-screen/) is in the works. Screenwriter Billy Ray (State of Play (http://screencrave.com/tag/state-of-play)) has been hired to pen a script that would send Jack Bauer overseas to Europe. Therefore, if the show does come to a close that will be next creative step in Bauer’s story.
Even though “24″ is a good show that has a strong and loyal fan base, I think they should go out while they’re on top. That’s what ABC is doing with “Lost (http://screencrave.com/tag/lost).” I’d love to see Sutherland leave on his own terms as opposed to be forced out by bad ratings. That’s not how we should remember the legacy that is “24.”

i am a big fan of 24, i watched seasons 1-4 3 times already but to be honest... it started to decline from the half of season 5. and 8th is really proving that.
i remember a final scene from 3rd season when i literary stopped breathing because i couldn't believe my eyes... in season 6 there was a similar scene but overall not that great of a season. 24: Redemption was very good though.
i hope they end this season and the series with it in great stile because frankly 24 isn't what it once was.. det som engang var...
no doubt 24 is one of the greatest series known to man, i hope the second half of 8th will be a bit different, old 24 style.

Well here we are the end is upon us. I like the direction they have taken in the end of the series, getting back to rogue Jack. For me it has been an awesome show and a reason to look forward to Monday's, it will be missed.
Do you guys think Jack will live or die?

and it was :D. really great last episodes, maybe a bit (more) romantic at the end, but good. Jack got them good the f***ers :twisted:
