View Full Version : Two new Admins appointed
Hi everyone,
So a big part of our vision at PlayStation Universe is to try to provide a truly great community for PlayStation enthusiasts, and a major part of this is having an excellent staff team to manage the community! From the Senior Member Council right up to the Mods & Admins, the forum staff have continually impressed and inspired me over the years with their dedication and hard work to keep the forum a healthy and active place for gaming discussion.
In 2010 though, we will no doubt continue to grow and achieve over 1/4 million registered members and 5 million posts, but with only a handful of active Admins we feel the time is now right to promote two new Admins to enable us to respond to member requests faster than ever and in doing so also provide a more active admin presence on the site around the clock. Therefore after much deliberation, we have decided to promote both Comatosed and justintheman99.
For those that might not know, the role of the Admin is broad and has many elements, but some of the key parts include; the hiring and training of Moderators, the responsibility of organising the forum structure, dealing with member requests/problems/queries and providing sensible and sound judgement over important forum policy issues.
I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome and congratulate the new Admins to the role and I personally look forward to working with them. :pI'd just like to also quickly add that if you were looking for an Admin position, please don't be upset if you were not chosen for the role. As we continue to expand and grow there will no doubt be other Admin roles becoming available in the near future! :)

I feel exactly the same as justin about these forums, they are a fantastic place to meet and chat with like minded gamers. I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity to help out with things in my new role.

Well-done to both of you. Throughout the short period of time I've been an active member of Playstation Universe I've seen Comatosed and Justin actively viewing forums and doing all they could do to help out. Seb definitely made the right decisions in promoting these two.

I remember there was one day not too long ago in which Seb, AJe, and REFLEX were all online at once. There was even a time I saw Rebon online.

He's one of the 3 mysterious administrators. Honestly I've just completely disregarded them as administrators. I'm guessing they served a completely behind the scenes purpose? Who knows.
Edit: Ashraf isn't even an administrator anymore. The only mysterious one remaining is Tomest.

yeah i need this explaining, i never knew he existed, till i looked the thing that shows admins mods smc's Ds and subs. i was like wtf.

I just did a search on Ashraf using the member-list and I couldn't find him on there. Perhaps I'm already losing my sight? :lol:

I didn't know that that was how it worked. I assumed that when someone registered they were automatically added to the member-list. Apparently not. :)

i think its 50 posts (not sure) and also a few other members dont show up. cant remember who though.
its either 25 or 50. BJ was messing around with it a while ago.

Since they have been promoted to Admin does that mean two SMC's will be promoted to MOD and therefore we will have two new SMC's?
Obviously there is a structure to the staffing here but is there a desired number of each tier of staff.
