cant we downgrade just by replacing all files?

this may sound stupid , but i dont really have much knowledge about these things

so heres my question , cant we downgrade 2.70 to 1.50 by simply replacing all of the files with the ones from a 1.50 psp?

or would that just brick my psp?

The files are exactly the same, the only difference is that the hardware is flashed, what flashing means is that it changes the hardware directly via software, much like your motherboard BIOS, when you upgrade your BIOS they say to never flash backwards as this can change the way the hardware works and can damage it.

So downgrading is always done at your own risk and is never recommended.
