Anyone heard anything on when these are coming out?
This is my number 1 blu-ray set i want.
I'm tempted to rebuy the DVD's in the smaller pack to save space but would much rather just have them on blu-ray?
Any other fans out there?

You probably didn't understand **** of these series at that age.
I doubt they'll be releasing these on Blu-ray any time soon, if ever.

i look at these forums quite alot but dont post to much stuff. but ive gotta say ur a ****in ****
i would buy buffy and angel on blu-ray they might come out someday
I wouldn't expect them for a while yet if at all. The problem with them is that Buffy was filmed with 4x3 aspect ratio and it's not using 35mm, not only this but all the effects would have to be redone for every episode, it's the same with Angel except for the last 2 seasons I think which were HD.

Try watch them again you might understand them a lot better now. Best written show ever.

I think Buffy Seasons 4--> 7 were filmed in high quality... and possibly 3 but 1 & 2 definetly weren't, would be cool if they could remaster them.
The first 3 seasons of Buffy were shot in 4:3 on video so there will be no high def versions of these. Seasons 4 to 7 were in 16:9 but I don't know if they were on 35mm or not.
Angel is all 16:9 but again, not sure if it is filmed in 35mm or not.
Either way - BD editions are unlikely.
BTW - Buffy and Angel contain some of the best TV you will ever see. This is fact and of this there is no doubt.

I'd be more than happy to take Buffy seasons 1-3 on a single Blu-ray disc and the others on seperate ones.
Should write into Joss sometime and ask if anything will be scheduled.

Addition to that all FX work was done in low resolutions which would mean that every time there is fx in screen the image would return to it's SD glory.

You don't have to worry, these haven't been confirmed and it's quite likely they never will.
