Looks like Sony dominated Gamescom.

Sony certainly brought their A-game when to comes to Gamescom domination, as they not only brought the goods game-wise, but managed to acquire a major title which was previously exclusive to the 360, show that the PlayStation Move is the ideal motion controller for the hardcore gamer, and rack up the conference’s highest honors in the process.
Gran Turismo 5 was the standout title of the show, taking home top honors as best console game. It looks like the wait will be worth it, as Kazunori Yamauchi’s masterpiece revs its engine in anticipation, still shocking critics and, more recently, judges, around the world. With a racing title that includes quite literally every aspect of racing, it’s no surprise that Gran Turismo 5 came out on top.
Next was another big winner, perhaps shocking to some while obvious to others, and that was the victory for PlayStation Move over Microsoft’s Kinect in the hardware accessories category. It was clear from the get-go that this was Sony’s last chance to make the peripheral shine before it releases early next month, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. Move was heavily promoted and demoed all throughout the Gamescom showfloor, in addition to being included in the Gamescom PlayStation Home space. Could this be a sign that critics and consumers are starting to see just what the Move is capable of? We think so. But this is only the first step, as the main ingredient to the mix will be the games and, based on what Sony has shown thus far, it certainly looks like we won’t have a problem in that department.
Other winners throughout the night were as follows:
* Best PC Game – Crysis 2
* Best Online Game – Guild Wars 2
* Best Mobile Game – Super Scribblenauts
* Best of Family Entertainment – Kiby’s Epic Yarn
Sony has gone in and come out of this year’s Gamesom with more momentum than any of us could have imagined, and based on the big titles slated for release over the next few months, it looks like the momentum is going to continue for quite some time. For all the latest on these big titles and more, be sure to stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle!

It's going to be interesting to see how everything performs once it reaches the market.

lol Well, I guess it should have been in the Gamescom thread. The mods can erase this one.
I've been getting a lot of double post warnings(not from the mods) lately. When I click it to reply once, it tells me that I have to wait a certain amount of seconds to post again.

Is that Scribblenauts 2? Hope it comes to App Store, would be a sure fire winner!

Scribblenauts was kind of disappointing for me, not going to pick up the sequel.
Also I like how Move is more liked than Kinect. As someone from Nintendo said, its the software what matters the most.

Move has better software, and harware. More support by far really!

Well lets be fair, the PS Move had lots of great games and has proven once again that it works and has tons of support. GT5 on the other hand is one of my most anticipated games this gen, it really is a well crafted game, everything looks superbe and the features are pretty much infinite. It looks like a masterpiece is in works.
These two deserve the attention they got in my opinion.

I'm surprised at Playstation Move and the level of care the periphrial seems to be getting from Sony while still working so hard on the core gamer audience (Re 3, MS3 KZ3, R&C 1 4 all and of course Infamous 2 and GT5
Sony REALLY seems to have it's game together lately :D

I kinda felt the same way...I bought it for my little sister for her birthday (along with a DS), picked it up, played with it for a little bit, and kinda got bored after the first few minutes...
I think it may be moreso my lack of tolerance for handheld games, tho, than the game itself...neat concept...

How about Move support being patched into GT5 for the Track Editor? Seems like a natural, with a Move 3D modeling demo already being shown. Just think about a Track Editor using the Move like a 3D paintbrush.

This is why ms is getting stomped in Europe. Sony shows the love to Europe while I havnt really heard of anything from ms this entire weak. Great on Sony, pathetic on ms side.

for me personally I would say that Sony had a better Gamescom showing then they did at E3, thats kind of crazy being that almost all big guns come out at E3. MS on the other was almost a no show at Gamescom basically just a recap of what was shown at E3
Maybe this will help convince my mates to get Move, I'm really looking forward to seeing if it's all it's hyped up to be!
