yeah, this was mentioned in the delay thread... anticipating it's the 3d announcement.
im expecting a possible gears 2.5 to tide people over till gears 3 via live edit its a multiplayer reveal i heard
Maybe a gears of war2 version of dead rising 2: case zero.
A prequel for GEOW2. Sounds possible.

Good stuff. Thats not too much of a silver lining BECAUSE of the delay, its mainly stuff we expected or was going to be revealed anyway. The Beta should at least help them iron out the multitude of bugs.

All of that is confirmed. :)
Good start though. I had expected the cloud based stuff because more shooters will be doing that, especially ones that allow multi-logins on the same system.

The fact that there are dedicated severs and host migration leads me to believe that the dedicated servers are of a limited number. Host migration really isn't needed if everyone is on a dedicated server.

I seen the dedicated servers in the list and got happy then read there is host migration and now im confused.
Dedicated servers for the matchmaking and P2P for private matches is my guess.

It means that if you play on a different 360 and log in, it'll have all of your settings ready to go. Essentially when you save your game, it'll be saved to a computer in a remote place. It works on the same priciple as cloud computing.

That is pretty cool.
Left4Dead 2 on Steam does it. When I went over to my cousins house and jumped onto my profile it booted up all my settings and everything. It's pretty snazzy.

Yeah. Its why Valve having steamworks and automatic updates on PS3 is such a big deal for those who know about how great it is.
More games should use it to be honest. Its great.

I dunno, do we? I've never bothered to access my gamertag on a different 360.. it wouldn't have your settings/preferences anyway,, i don't think.

the locust queen will be playable in the beta. They also explains why they decided to move the games to holiday 2011.

No they didn't. They said it was for strategic reasons, i.e Microsoft moved it because they needed a big release. They said they were all ready to go for April. This Beta, while useful, is a way of placating the fans. They didn't delay it. Microsoft did.
