Hey folks,

We're trying new things with our community and homepage, so here's an idea I wanted to propose to our community. What games would you like to see reviews of? We obviously try to get you the big name reviews, but if you have anything more niche, let us know and we'll do our best to get those reviews up, too.

Also, feel free to use this thread to let us know what games coming up (big or small) you'd like to see. We'll try to let you know what we are working on throughout the week, but let's look further into the calendar.

I think you guys should try to cover more PSN games, I know you do a lot of the "big" releases though.
Dead Nation comes out soon, a review on that would be sweet

This is not what kinds of games but mostly how you should do reviews.

I'll post it here again..

We all know that many of us came to these forum via PS3Land+PS3Portal. And I think PSU.com main site is the best way to get more members to the forum.

1) Get a big youtube presence with Video Reviews, and Interviews. (an example of how small companies should do unique reviews without scores Link (http://www.youtube.com/user/inecomcompany))

Why? because with more views you can become a youtube partner which will fund the forums.

2) Get more interesting video content like interviews, previews, reviews, editorial pieces and a Podcast perhaps to make PSU a more vibrant site rather than one that just regurgitates old news.

Great responses so far. More PSN titles is a great idea and they are usually shorter games so they won't take as long as a Red Dead review, for instance. We'll certainly keep that in mind.

For video reviews, I'm saving up to purchase an HD video capture box to record off my PS3, and use that to make the actual video reviews. I've toyed with the idea of doing a weekly rant about big news from the week, but not sure if that would get much attention, or just flames from people. Still, we are working hard to build our YouTube presence (once again), and we are getting closer to having video reviews/previews. As for interviews, that is a bit more hit or miss, but it's something we'd all really like. We're even planning audio interviews down the road (possibly, don't hold me to that because of technical issues), so that may be another unique thing to see on the homepage.

Keep the ideas flowing. Thanks guys!

I know minis aren't much of a traffic driver, but it would be cool to see something more on that front. Nothing major, maybe just bundle a couple of recently released minis together in one article and give a quick paragraph or so verdict with score. There are some overlooked gems on there.

What about some sort of 'Community Review'? Basically, it's where a member of the forum writes a review for PSU as a one of kind of thing.

Sounds like a good idea, I'd support that. Would be a good way of covering some of the smaller PSN titles that might get overlooked.

We have discussed community reviews and may have some news on that front soon. We'll keep you posted. Minis would be a great place to start. We're trying to figure out a way if we can tie it in with a competition, but we're not sure if that's going to work out. Honestly, we just had a conversation about community reviews, so it's nice to hear it brought up here.

Wow sounds great!

We could do a Minis roundup community review, 5 minis, and someone to review each one ;p

I'll echo Dark Vincent's thoughts and say PSN games. There are a boatloat of great PSN games that do not get a mention here and it is a real shame.

If you get some good contacts at publishers, you could even give away some codes for competition purposes.

I'd also say review Playstation Home spaces. If no-one on the review team wants to do that, I'd be more than happy to help out. Home makes millions for Sony and the place is always full whenever I go in.

Another thing you could do is organizing a review contest for a certain game, let's say big titles, where members post their reviews of a game, and then people vote for the best one. That way people get to read several different reviews of a same game, making it unbiased, and you also have a contest.

Yea I like sergeriver and Dark Vincent's ideas. PSN titles would be a great addition. The diversity with a contest for multiple ideas would be neat as well. I know resources are slim for most sites but multiple reviews would be great from different editors so you get an idea of the general average score with multiple outlooks. Also this is not so much related but, Bios on editors would be cool. Such as what genre is their favorite and what are some of their favorite games. So you can get more of an idea if a reviewers would be more likely to have the same view as you based off of the games they enjoy. This way you can relate to the reviewer and know if you should like the game reviewed.

think they had issues with the old copyright stuff, so a partnership will be hard.

I'd like to see more PSN game reviews. You'd probably be able to get review codes too, I know certain websites do anyway.

Might sound dumb but I'd like to see some of the 'classics' re-reviewed. I think there are many games like the Oddworld games that are still outstanding games but people missed them first time around.
