I'm not going to prestige in this game I don't see a point I really don't care about the prestige leaderboard and I only did it once in MW2. What about you?

Just prestiged this afternoon.
Its only to level 50 so doesnt seem a huge slog to 65 etc like before. And from some of the prestige badges I've seen, they look awesome.
Plus, I like the challenges resetting or I think it could get a bit boring earning XP and not progressing any further.
I was gutted I lost my $150,000 COD money though. Do'H!.

I decided not to, as i doubt i will play it as much as time goes by (im barely playing anymore already). I may aswell keep all my unlocks so that when and if i do decide to play a few matches, i have full choice in how i wish to play.
(MPL and M60 FTW)

damn you lost that much after prestige? did you have to have that much to prestige and buy all the weapons again or what? i went prestige already. i think i'll go as far as i can.
i saw a 15th prestige hacker yesterday. he had gold M16.. he had 1 day played..

yes you can, i was on this afternoon [ps3] and there was a guy who was prestige 15, i took a look at his player card and he'd only being playing online for 9 hours.

Your cash resets to zero when you prestige. Next time Im going to go in for some of them High Roller 10,000$ matches :D May as well blow it if its going to reset ;)
Yeah buy everything as before. Its same as other COD's pretty much, prestige and lose everything.

I don't know why they don't just make the ranking system a nice round 100, make it slightly longer between promotions and you can only get to 100 when you've completed ever last challenge in the game - if any mug wants to start again after that then thats their look out, I can't stand all this 'prestige' BS

Im going to because i have OCD for some reason about prestiging, and cuz it took me 5 days to get to lvl 50 on black ops, so i dont wanna spend the next year or so lvl 50, just getting kills. so might as well just prestige. doesnt matter about the camo's n what not. sept for the pro perks, that might be a pain to get each prestige.. but w/e..

I think it really depends on your style of play and what you deem to be the most important. I am the type of player that likes the use all of the guns, complete all of the challenges for each, etc. So for me going prestige is counter active, however people that play to simply get to the highest level or make sure their KDR is the highest might only use one or two guns and when you get to level 50 you really have nothing else to look forward to. At that point prestige is a good option because you start all over.
Again really depends on your play style, I usually do one prestige and then just go on maxing out all of my guns and trying to win games. At the end of the day I could care less what my stats are I just want to win and complete challenges.

i probably will prestige when i get there, never gotten to the highest prestige in anty cod game, so gonna try hard too. before the next one comes out, i thought about getting MW2 again.

actually, there's more of a point in prestiging in this game than any other cod.
back to the OP, i'd say it's worth prestiging even just once for the first extra class. seriously, it takes no time at all to get all your stuff and money back, especally since the 2nd time around you wont waste the money on the things you considered crappy the first time around.
as for me, i'm going all the way for 2 reasons: gold guns, and the fun factor is still there when you still have something to work for.

ok if there is, would you care to say, i prestiged in mw2 and got some customs slots and extra chanllenges and got some tittle for my guns and thats about it, that was only thing i kinda think way good, got like about 12 gun tittle and a few headshot titles

lol!! Im not sure im at level 44 at the moment!! i prob will because it gets boring with the same stuff all the time
its good when you unlock new stuff!! like medicdog it makes you tingle........well wouldent go that far but feels rewarding :D

I'm not going to prestige in this game at all. I dont see the point. I couldnt be bothered unlocking everything again. I prestiged 6 times in MW2 and just not arsed to do it in Black Ops.

Ok well now things have changed, im in a rank/leveling up war with a friend at work so I went prestige. I'm not focusing on challenges just ranking up to get ahead of my co-worker and trash talk. I'm not doing this to prestige all the way but with as much as my friend plays its possible.
Ive prestiged twice and im level forty somthing now. Defo going to keep going. Its good because my friends are doing it too so its quite competative........

I did it, with only 50 ranks, I did it on sunday, so 3 weeks or so, and I didn't play it every day, yea it kinda sucks, but it gives you something to do and forces you to use guns you may not use much (at least till you get some money)

I'm now prestige 2 level 35, I'm definitely prestiging once more just to get that extra custom class slot.
I want a RED clan tag & golden guns, so I'm on my way to 13/14... and it makes no sense in not going all the way @ that point.
It's so ridiculously easy to prestige in this game, plus very few level restrictions on purchases (i.e. getting claymores, tactical grenades, etc.)... no one should have any qualms about going to the next stage IMO.
...only 4 more to go for my color clan tag.

Prestiged just over a week ago, now im just 9 levels from making back to 50.
It can be a pain in the ***, but i like that fact that the XP that i get from playing goes towards unlocking the next level.
Would have been nice if they had added some prestige challenges like they did with MW2.
Also it would be nice if you got to keep your COD points.
Other than that it keeps the game alive for me, every time i play the is always challenge to do to help get me to the next level.
Since I went up to last prestige in every cod game (except W@W) I will do also in this one. I just hope I can do it before Killzone3 comes out. I like having an emblem that no one else has. (Well that how it is now, that I rarely see other at 7th prestige) I also saw a guy at 15th prestige and it was a dynamic playercard, which was cool. Other than losing the pro perks, I dont care about losing money and guns.
I also have bought every design that you need for making your playcard icon and every playcard itself

I see tons of high ranks when I play, I think its part of the match making as you go along... the guys I run with are , 12, 11 (me), 10, and 3 9th prestiges...we played lobbies last night with multiple 15th, 14th, and 13th prestige players.
