In your first step you don't have to go to advanced, the icon to insert the BB code is in the quick reply box.
Should also keep in mind that, the code will not dynamically execute in all browsers. Firefox didn't when I still used it, nor does Chrome. IE is the only browser I'm aware of that will automatically run the code before you post. AKA: You won't see the picture, you'll see the <URL of image> code instead.
Also... which, not witch. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
