I thought I would make a thread there you can put the music you like and talk about it and stuff
the bands I like at the moment are (well not all)
Linken park
some Good Charlotte
Nirvana
Evanescence
Guns N' Roses
As you may know from my thread, my favorite band is Linkin Park. Nirvana is a good band. The only Good Charlotte song I like is The Anthem. Other than that I just don't like those punk rock bands. Mudvayne is pretty cool.
Well I like every type of music. When I was at school I liked Heavy Metal Thrash bands like Pantera, Mudvayne etc... but mostly Rage Against The Machine who I still regard as one of the best bands ever. Nirvana are good, but I got bored with them pretty quickly, although I must admit they were legendary...
Nowadays I'm expanding my tastes to include Hip-hop, Rap, Metal and even some Psy-trance / Drum n' Bass stuff. In the Rap category the Beastie Boys are amazing, House of pain are quite good and not to forget Cyprus Hill as another great band. Although I admit most Drum'n Bass is quite questionable as a type of music but if you want a good D 'n B band check out Dillinja and for psy-trance try KMFDM.
I also like Ludacris and DMX. But I still love listening to good Guitar songs mostly Joe Satriani and Steve Vai as well as Hendrix and I can always Include RAGE as my favourite overall band. Its just a shame they split up … Audioslave don’t compare. Zack’s vocals are irreplaceable although Chris Cornell did pretty well to step into Zack’s shoes. Oh and I hate Teen-Angst bands that scream and cant play guitar and are otherwise knows as Emo bands...(Pearl Jam Excluded).

Mm, currently listening to the Collateral soundtrack .. and that includes a variety of artists .. Miles Davis, The Roots, Audioslave. Most of which are my favorite. Morpheus, I know you just said that Audioslave doesn't compare to Rage, but I'm not sure I agree with that. I actually found a link (just now, cuz I was googling for information on the movie) for a soundtrack give away .. and if anyone's interested, I'll include it here. It doesn't do me any good since I already have it, but someone else could get it. It's not spam or anything, it doesn't make you sign up for anything ... it's the same as filling out a form and dropping it into the box at the mall.

Oh yeah, other artists I like ... I forgot about that.
- Oasis (only their old stuff)
- Black Eyed Peas
- Caesars Palace (relatively obscure, but really great Scandinavian band)
- The Killers
I love linkin park's music........great music to listen when I'm pissed off.
lately I've been listening to Christian music like,Avalon, Sonicflood, Micheal W. Smith............

I'm a type of person who loves 90s music. I have recently purchased Amy Grant's new album "Greatest Hits". The album is pretty cool becasue not only it has all her greatest songs from before but it comes with a BONUS Cd that has several remix songs from Amy. I just remember listening to her music a lot in the early 90s especially when the song "baby, baby" just came out! Anyone here like Amy Grant as well?
I believe my mom used to listen to her.

If it's not country...I'll give it a try.
Stabbing Westward
Nine Inch Nails
Silverchair
Tool/A Perfect Circle
Deftones
Norma Jean
Nirvana
Green Day (old school, and some of their newest album)
And a billion others...
Stabbing Westward
Now thats a band I haven't heard of for a while. I used to quite like them, haven't really listened to them recently though. Are they popular in the states?

Now thats a band I haven't heard of for a while. I used to quite like them, haven't really listened to them recently though. Are they popular in the states?Stabbing Westward broke up in 2001 and lost the rights to their band name. They aren't that popular...because not many people have heard of them, which is funny, because they did most of the background music for the original Mortal Kombat movie =) There first album kicked some arse.
Christopher Hall, the lead singer, just recently made another band called "The Dreaming"...but they only tour in California (Hollywood area) right now, but I'm going to go see them, and he still plays some oldschool Stabbing Westward stuff at the concerts. I saw them when I was younger when they had their first album...and they're amazing live...(The Ungod album).
Their new stuff sounds pretty good, but they haven't released their "darker" stuff yet...which I'm eagerly waiting for. They have a new site up...you can check it out if you like: http://www.thedreamingonline.com/
They are still my favorite band (their old stuff)...and their remixes are pretty awesome...and rare. I'm blabbing...
Disturbed(down with the sickness or killing you now)
Godsmack(Awake or greed)
Metallica(Sad but true)
dimmu borgir(Burn in hell)
marilyn manson(sweet dream)
ram stien(feuer frei)
Hatebreed(preserverance)
From there my list only gets longer they are my main favourite bands. Not many people ever her of dimmu borgir so I suggest to them they go on kazaa and download dimmu borgir-burn in hell, I like almost all kinds of music heavy metal is just my favourite, I like some country I hate most rap and well it depends on the songs for me
I like your taste in music, though I lean towards the more mellow and grunge rock. As for Marilyn Manson, I cant stand him. I wish he didnt make good music so I could hate his music also. :?

Preorder your PS3 or fear buying one online!
Hopefully everyone knows by now that the PS3 will be the console to have! After all with all the new technology in it and the evident edge over the Xbox 360 in terms of technical specifications the only thing left for us to judge is the actual game play at this year’s E3 conference.
The beauty has already been confirmed to launch in November of next year to hopefully sneak in a couple of shipments before the holiday season. However as I am sure many of you know, a console is extremely hard to get by on release date! This has been proven over and over again with the launch of the PS2 and the launch of the Xbox 360 earlier this year.
What can I do to get my hands on the first batch of consoles you say? Why the easiest and most secure way is to preorder one. I am sure a lot of people have heard about preordering a console or a game and just said “hey! It’s impossible for all the consoles to sell out!” Well, I have a little story for you. Back in E3 2005 when I first heard about the Xbox 360 I decided that it would be fun to have that console but I did not want to preorder because I thought that there was no possible way I would not get my hands on one on release date. However I was very wrong! I showed up on release date at the local video game store and walk in to get my console. The first thing that the person working there tells me is if I preordered or not. I of course did not but I did not think it was a big deal until he told me that the store only has enough consoles for the people who preordered them early. So the most important thing to do to avoid that situation on November is to preorder the console as soon as possible.
However if you have deep pockets preordering is not an issue because places like EBay will overflow with PS3s, the only problem, their price. The PS3, costly as it will be more than twice the price of a retail outlet! So think safe this summer, preorder your PS3!
I posted this as an editorial rather than news, as thats what I felt it was! You can see it on the right hand side of the site under "Pre-order or wait for launch?".
Good work Walid! I hope to see more stories out of you =)
